I am trying to sharpen a small portion of an image and folling the instructions given in the help files, I cannot locate the "Sharpen Tool" in the tool menu. How I can find this asset in Elements 10?

I swear this darn thing will be the death of me!! :confused: The image size is 52 pixels (height) and 26 pixels in width.

i just started seeing the very top portion of the taskbar in full screen mode. It is just a thin line that gives you access to the taskbar without minimizing CS6. I am running Windows 7 64 bit on a loaded PC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have pc that uses xp pro cs5.1 extended....everything on the program works!! in normal editing mode I can do most things including sharpening, selection....recently I started to edit within layers and I can get most things done...but I cannot figure out how to sharpen the image once it is in layers as it is not one of the choices in the drop down menu, the same goes for selection.
If this cannot be done then I will flatten the image and edit normally. My knowlege of layers is basic.
I have a some RAW images in (cr2 files) and not all the pictures are in focus (only about half of each picture, so i would like to make everything in focus) there isnt any option to redo the pictures but, what are my options to sharpen it, that visually seems everything in focus!!!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a PNG image with only one layer as a start point. It has a faded map on it.
I have a second PNG image with a hex grid on it. I do colour to Alpha to establish transparency on the hex grid for white filled hexes (others are not filled with white).
Now, I wish to overlay a portion of the first image with the faded map with the non-transparent part of the second image.
So I select by colour (for the hexes not filled with white) on the second image (the overlay) and I then paste to the first image (after creating a transparency layer and selecting it to receive the overlay).
I see the desired overlay section (minus any transparent stuff as expected), however it is centered over the map in the first image, not where I want it to be. It is a floating selection and must be anchored. So I select the anchor icon in the layer dialog and I think I anchor it into the transparency layer on the first image (that's what I'm trying to do anyway).
And then my problem:
I want to move the thing I just pasted in to the right place with respect to the underlying faded map. I attempt to use the move tool, but all I move is the background map (pretty much the opposite of what I want).
Nothing I do seems to let me reselect the pasted-in overlay so that I can move it.
Why I can't ever reposition the pasted in overlay? It should be in the transparency layer I created but even if I select all, I don't seem to be able to move anything other than the background image.
Does anyone know how to blur a portion of an image in gradient-like fashion to give the impression of an unfocussed lens? Can you do it with a transparent layer mask?

I was trying to use one tool, not sure which one, and it told me the layer was locked. I couldn't figure out how to unlock the layer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI having an issue with CC.When electing in the preferences to not open image in Tabs. The images open with only about 25% of the image area showing. Forcing me to (command) 0 for full to screen preview or (command) +/- to see the image.I am not talking about seeing the image at 100% resolution just the entire image within the floating window without having to command before view.
Sidenote: Adobe Customer Service is all based in India. I spent 4 hours on the phone only to hear that this is that way photoshop works. There would be no logical explanation for this. Since the first version of Photoshop this has not been the case.I think this should be called view porn with wife in the room mode. Other than that I see no point.

Do I have to render the whole video every time I want to watch what I added to the video? The video is 45 minutes long and I am only working with the first 5 minutes of the video. I am guessing if I cut and remove the 40 other minutes rendering with not take so long but, how do I save the other 40 minutes so I can re-attach it when I am ready to work on it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI discovered Paint Shop Pro many many years ago, and have been using version 4 (that's not X4, but the old Shareware version 4.12, from 1996!) to do the very basic image manipulation that I need to do. Basically: open up a jpg, crop it, resize it, sharpen it, save it. That's pretty much all I need to do 90% of the time, and I love PSP, because it's such a tiny program that it opens up really quickly. I've been thinking about trying a bit of website creation, so I decided to splash out for a decent graphics program. Not being able to afford Photoshop (and I wouldn't know what to do with 99% of it), I thought it made sense to stick with something I know: Paint Shop Pro.
I hate the mouse. If I can avoid using it, I do. But I'm stumped at how to go about sharpening my cropped image, since the keyboard "hotkey" for Sharpen is the same as Skin Smoothing - ie, S. So when I go Alt+A (to open the Adjust menu) and S (to get the Sharpen sub-menu), I get the Skin Smoothing tool.
I cannot get this program to install. I keep getting a message that the file archive portion of the file is missing, I am not going to spend all day screwing around in a forum chasing my tail. Either have a human being contact me or cancel my order immediately and credit the purchase!
