Photoshop Elements :: 11 / Get A Photo Collage From Create To Expert Editing
Apr 11, 2013After creating a photo collage using Create in PSE 11, I saved & closed it. When I try to open it in Expert editing mode, it will only open in Create. Advanced editing in Create doesn't work because it has no crop tool and the eyedropper tool does not work. How do I get my collage back into Expert mode (full) editing?

Jun 21, 2013Been working on a project moving files from Light room 4 to Photoshop CS6 for final edits and experiencing recent files crashing PS CS6 when using the smart sharpen filter. I've processed hundreds of files in CS6 and never had this issue till lately. All other filters work fine, including other sharpen options, it's just the smart sharpen interface.
I over-installed/re-installed Photoshop CS6 thinking a driver might have corrupted for that filter, then installed all available upgrades but the problem persists. I can't figure it out, and it's a problem - I use smart sharpen a lot for final output. Am I overlooking something simple? Or, do I need to just uninstall PS CS6 and do a total re-install or is there another option?

Feb 20, 2014PSE11, expert mode, when select enhance/adjust levels/lighting - the histogram does not 'pop up' as it did before, instead the dropper draw icon is enable and the only way to disable the dropper is alt F4, this is happening with other enhance options as well.
Note that the quick and guided mode are still working.
Expert mode was working fine till about 2 weeks ago, the only updates that have been done to the laptop have been the microsoft auto updates.
OS win 7
Java 7.45
flash player 12 active x
Have done an uninstall and reinstalled, but the issue still remains.
Need to understand what has caused the expert mode enhance options to be unusable.
Photoshop Elements :: How To Open File From Organizer Into Expert Editor
Nov 20, 2012Installed PSE 11. OS is Win 7. Worked ok a short time then got message "PSE 11 stopped working". I try to open file from Orginizer into Expert Editor and only get a blank screen now. Tried all three ways of opening into Editor. (Works ok in PSE 9). What other info do you need to solve this problem? This is the second time this has happened. The first time I believe it corrected with out any action on my part.

Mar 15, 2013Each time I open a new image in ACR and then open image the editing screen reverts to QUICK mode and a smaller screen size. I then have to click to change it to EXPERT mode and then click to make it full screen. I never had this problem with PSE 10.
(I am bringing RAW images in from outside and not via Organiser.)
Is there a way to set these defaults?

Aug 10, 2008I'm having trouble with an extremely large document and I'm wondering if it can be any smaller.
I need to design a large logo for a billboard ad. The dimensions are about 14'x6' I spoke with the printing company and they weren't all that helpful about DPI & such. The most info I could get was that they print at 150 DPI, and if I wanted to make my image smaller they will scale it up.
Problem is, it's a very elaborate pixel based graphic that I don't want to be distorted when blown up. So, I've been trying to design at the literal dimensions of the sign, and 150 pixels/inch (in CS3). Problem is that I'm getting all kinds of scratch disk errors (even with 250gb free) and extremely long loading times between tasks.
Has anyone printed or designed for something to be printed at a size this large? I've made business cards before and those are always made to spec, 3"x2". I'm not 100% sure I have to follow this same rule. If it were a vector design it would be a lot easier but it unfortunately has to be pixel based.

Jan 14, 2005an (A)dobe (C)ertified (E)xpert in Photoshop CS or Illustrator CS? If so, how hard are the tests? What do they involve? I checked Adobe's website, but they had a severe case of "more information and pages" than they really needed;
This seems rather prestigous for a Web Developer/Graphic Artist. I think I'd like to have it since it's a simple 1 test per program, whereas Macromedia certifications take approximately 1-3 classes per program certification, and even then, Flash has a "Flash Designer Certification" and "Flash Developer Certification".

Apr 26, 2013When I use the ratings filter with the CIB catalog of photos it works fine. But when I apply it to my own it doesn't. I follow the exact procedures but it doesn't seem to work the same way. After I have applied some star ratings to my photos, and I have all media displayed in the media browser, I go up to the filter by ratings stars and click on one of them (for example, I click on five stars). I would expect that the browser would eliminate all the images except those with a five star rating. This is how it works with the CIB images. But with mine, only some of the displayed images are eliminated, and the ones with five stars are scattered amongst the remaining images. For all of them that did not meet the criteria, there is a small circular badge with a slash line through it at the upper right of the thumbnail. I cannot get this function to perform correctly despite numerous attempts. The only thing I see as different from the CIB work is that I have stacked my photos into 5 stacks. But when I try using the ratings filter, I have expanded the stacks to show all 116 images.
