I just installed a trail version of photoshop. I put a photo in photoshop and then I tried to apply a filter but I cannot see any words in the screen. It is a bit difficult to explain so here is a picture. how to solve this? I also cannot use any colors, I can shift the red but I do not see anything on the my photo.

I applied the zigzag filter to the entire thing, and it looks alright, but the whole house is distorted, not the individual lines. I want to know if I can just make the individual lines have that zigzag look, like some one scribbled it lightly. Is there a way to do that, and if so, how?

My requirement isn't much: To assign colors to individual words without having to separate those words into different layers.
I see if I apply and adjustment layer, it works for the whole clip but any filter outside of that or rubber stamp only lasts for a few frames. How do I apply them to the entire clip?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI go through the steps and while in the lens blur screen, it looks like it's working. Then I hit OK once I'm happy with my level of blur but then the blur doesn't apply. I've redone this a number of times, rebooted, etc. Has worked a couple times but mostly doesn't. Is this a bug?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying videostudio pro x5 and it looks very nice, but I have a problem that I think will lead to be a big limitation in the potential this software has, so I guess this is a bug or maybe I am not using it in the right way. I just hope is not that way by design
Anyway, the problem is that when I apply a filter to an animation or to an image (like PNG) that has alpha channel, I can see the filter coverin the whole frame if the clip is in the main video track, while if I move it to the overlay track the filter will only stay inside the picture, for example I've tried this with the lens flare.. please see this image (situation 1 on top and then situation 2 bellow the orange line):
I'd expect the lens flare to go over the transparent area of the clip so that it will be overlaid with the "background" main video track, but it is not. This is just an example but for example the same happens if I apply the lightning filter to a text filter or to a png..
I also have a similar concern with the free TitlerEx plugin that I've downloaded after registering: if I put it on an overlay track I can't just have the text with transparent background overlaid to the main video track.
I wonder if its possible to apply a filter to a subset of entities (that could be the result of a previous filtering).

How to do a similar thing to the Properties bar layer field?
until now, when i needed to change the layer of an entity, i click on the little arrow on the RHS of this drop down field in the properties bar, and then have to seek out my layer name, which could be amongst the hundreds of xref layer names, depending on the naming conventions used etc.
i know with perfect naming convensions or by putting a "0" in front of my local layers, then at least all of mine will be grouped together at the top, but is there a way to bypass that option to ONLY show local layers???
I'd like to know how to apply a "filter" to a bunch of images. By "filter" i mean a grid for sharing image in equals parts. How to be able to locate elements in a image. And to "apply" this grid to all the images of a directory even by script-fu if necessary.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm having in CS6..I have a text block with a couple of styles in it (headings have one look, body copy has another). Here and there, some words are on bold. When I select some bold words and change the color of them, some other bold words in some other paragraph also change color. Not all bold words... just some. The behavior is unpredictable, so the exact words that get changed will vary, but once it starts to happen it won't stop. When I try to manually fix the other words (hopefully I noticed them before my client!) and change them back to black, sometimes that change reverses the color on the original words too. Sometimes not; it's like the effect is sometimes two-way and sometimes one-way. It becomes a real logic puzzle sometimes, a maddening game where every change affects something else and you can't find the combination of actions that will do the simple thing you want.
I haven't noticed it happening with non-bold text, but that could just be coincidence.
When this happens, the only fix seems to be to rebuild the text from scratch in a new text box. (Copying it all and re-pasting it does not seem to work—unless possibly I paste into a different document entirely.)
When I am editing text, GIMP will no longer apply italic nor bold effects. (Underline works though.)
I just upgraded from 2.8(.2?) to 2.8.6, and now I have this problem. I also just upgraded from Win XP to WIn 7 and upgraded from 32-bit to 64-bit, so I don't know if that is a factor.
I have files I created with the last version of GIMP that I can open and see the text properly formatted, but if I adjust the text the formatting disappears and WILL NOT come back.
GIMP won't print anymore either. My printer is set up correctly and I can print from other programs, but when I print from GIMP, it LOOKS like it went through, but the printer fails to do anything. I wind up having to tell GIMP to print to the microsoft xps writer (which DOES work) and then open the xps file I just made and have windows print it.
When I work in photoshop CS3 and I use some tool to edit the image, it does not get refreshed by the graphics engine. The modification is done, but it only gets visible as soon as I force the graphic engine to reload the picture (for example: by dragging the window where the picture is in a little around in photoshop).
View 5 Replies View Related I've just started using Photoshop CS6 via Creative cloud. (Before i used a DVD version of CS5)I'm having a weird problem with the liquify filter:When I want to open a picture in the filter it shows only a blue screen... Why? What happened?
At first I thought maybe it couldn't'nt work with the dng format and then I tried opening a jpeg in the liquify filter, same problem.I've had no problems in CS5 and I'm working on the same computer.
I am having this issue with the new PS CC. It happens whenever I try to add/edit a text. Pick the text tool, click onto the work and -- bang! -- the whole work screen gets blank. Depending on the project size it may get stable at a certain ammount of zoom and keep blinking (or go completely blank) at other zoom factors. If I finish text editing the screen gets back to normal. Funny is that if I type something, it will be there, so the problem seems to be with the viewport.
PS: Currently I am going to download and install back the CS6 version as the issue reported above does not happen with it.
I have win7 and PS Cs6 (64 bit).Every time I am editing an image in cs6 the screen jitters. It doesn't flicker, but jitters. By this I mean it jumps up and down:). I am using WIn7.

This would enlarge the image to the working area. Also, it would do the same thing if I double clicked on the little hand on the toolbar on left side of screen. For some reason, this stopped working. How do I get this back?

I'm trying to get text to scroll across the screen full height coming from the right to left, scroll across the screen at certain times of the video. I saw some animation presets there for text but not what I'm looking for. What I'm trying to do: along with a song, every time the name of the song comes up in the chorus, I'd like to scroll those words across the full height of the video as an overlay. And if it was just a graphic instead of text going across, what would I use to achieve that?
