Everytime I use the purge command it asks if I am sure I want to purge whatever it is I have chosen. I have tried changing the expert variable form 0 to 1. However, everytime I reopen AutoCAD the variable reverts back to 0. I have even tried changing the variable to 1 in a new drawings and saving this as my template but when I reopen AutoCAD I am still at 0. What am I missing here?
I just notice that in 2012 the EXPERT system variable set to 1 no longer suppresses the display of the "Objects moved to frozen or turned off layer" pop up.
I'm looking for a command that I've forgotten the name of...
Under: tools/options/3Dmodeling/3Dnavigation/viewcube: "zoom extents after view change"
If you unclick that box the navigation cube starts behaving properly but if I remember correctly there is also a variable you can switch between 0-1 to achieve the same effect for all the navigation tools (not only the cube)
I am trying to do this tutorial: [URL]....... but I have a trouble at Step 3 : Creating Web Header - rather: Now go to the " Shape Tool ", double click on the bottom middle line to create a custom node / corners.
One of the features I was really looking forward to in CS6 was creating fillable forms with ONE application. I created a form following the step by step instructions in classroom in a book for CS6. When I opened the exported form in Reader X, I get a "This operation is not permitted" error. I opened the completed "end" document in the lesson to make sure I didn't commit an error, and I got the same message when exporting. I have looked for places in menus to modify security restrictions and I can't find any. I installed the updates and that didn't solve the issue.
I saw one solution posted which is to open the document in Acrobat, then do a "save as" option. Is there anything we can do that doesn't involve buying additional software? If this is not the case, then Adobe seriously needs to change its training and advertising about this functionality.
I'm attempting to write a batch script to add some layers to a pre-existing image and save a copy. I've gone through the tutorial, and have run the demo code from Basic_Batch with no errors, but my (what I think of as simple) script throws an "Error: eval: unbound variable: ?" It also seems to cascade the error to other scripts, as I then get "unmatched parentheses: 2" errors from what I assume to be the script immediately following my own during Script-Fu load. This occurs whether running from batch or clicking "Refresh Scripts" from the Script-Fu menu.
What I could find on this forum and Google suggests that I may be required to 'define' one or more of my variables before using it, but for the life of me, I can't figure out which one that would be, and the error (reporting that '?' is undefined!?) I've quintuply (probably more ~_^) checked my parenthesis matching, but they look fine to me.
In case this was an encoding issue, I've tried saving my .scm file as both UTF-8 and ANSI. I should also note that I'm running Windows 7 x64 in English-US.
I am working on a form (global) and have added a picture with a parameter and a picture folder underneath. So that the picture displayed on my form will change depending on the parameter value.Here comes the trick. Only text parameters can be used!On the form editor only 'Text parameter' can be selected to drive the picture selection. I actually need an integer, so that i can use my User/Excel parameters from Inventor.
I can work this around with an iLogic rule to equal the value of my string Picture Parameter with the relevant integer Inventor parameter, but the rules need to be run before the pic and the form updates (by pressing the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the form and then the assy updates too. So this takes a couple of minutes)... whereas if it was an option on the form editor then the update would be instant without waiting for everything to update...
Is there a particular reason why the Picture Parameter only can be a text parameter?
I'm having trouble with an extremely large document and I'm wondering if it can be any smaller.
I need to design a large logo for a billboard ad. The dimensions are about 14'x6' I spoke with the printing company and they weren't all that helpful about DPI & such. The most info I could get was that they print at 150 DPI, and if I wanted to make my image smaller they will scale it up.
Problem is, it's a very elaborate pixel based graphic that I don't want to be distorted when blown up. So, I've been trying to design at the literal dimensions of the sign, and 150 pixels/inch (in CS3). Problem is that I'm getting all kinds of scratch disk errors (even with 250gb free) and extremely long loading times between tasks.
Has anyone printed or designed for something to be printed at a size this large? I've made business cards before and those are always made to spec, 3"x2". I'm not 100% sure I have to follow this same rule. If it were a vector design it would be a lot easier but it unfortunately has to be pixel based.
an (A)dobe (C)ertified (E)xpert in Photoshop CS or Illustrator CS? If so, how hard are the tests? What do they involve? I checked Adobe's website, but they had a severe case of "more information and pages" than they really needed;
This seems rather prestigous for a Web Developer/Graphic Artist. I think I'd like to have it since it's a simple 1 test per program, whereas Macromedia certifications take approximately 1-3 classes per program certification, and even then, Flash has a "Flash Designer Certification" and "Flash Developer Certification".
Can you get certified on any version of photoshop or do you have to start at Photoshop 1.0? Once you're certified does your certificate "expire" ? Do you have to retake a test? If so how often?
How I can make Elements 11 always open in Expert mode?I'd like Elements 11 to do this whenever I either double-click a photo file to start the program or click the Elements 11 icon to start.
I have PSE11 set as the default program to open .jpegs, for instance......so, if I double-click a picture icon it will launch PSE11, but it's always in "Quick" mode initially......is there a way to configure it so that it launches in Expert mode each time?
PSE11, expert mode, when select enhance/adjust levels/lighting - the histogram does not 'pop up' as it did before, instead the dropper draw icon is enable and the only way to disable the dropper is alt F4, this is happening with other enhance options as well.
Note that the quick and guided mode are still working.
Expert mode was working fine till about 2 weeks ago, the only updates that have been done to the laptop have been the microsoft auto updates.
OS win 7 Java 7.45 flash player 12 active x
Have done an uninstall and reinstalled, but the issue still remains.
Need to understand what has caused the expert mode enhance options to be unusable.
Installed PSE 11. OS is Win 7. Worked ok a short time then got message "PSE 11 stopped working". I try to open file from Orginizer into Expert Editor and only get a blank screen now. Tried all three ways of opening into Editor. (Works ok in PSE 9). What other info do you need to solve this problem? This is the second time this has happened. The first time I believe it corrected with out any action on my part.
I've been using Elements 11 on my Pc (Windows 8) for ages with no problems, but in the last couple of days, almost everytime I launch Elements it will automatically switch from Expert to Quick.
After creating a photo collage using Create in PSE 11, I saved & closed it. When I try to open it in Expert editing mode, it will only open in Create. Advanced editing in Create doesn't work because it has no crop tool and the eyedropper tool does not work. How do I get my collage back into Expert mode (full) editing?
I have successfully edited a number of RAW images in Expert Mode cannot find where to click to show that I have finished editing.The result is that I have a lot of images displaying a red band with a lock symbol showing that editing is still in progress and don't know how to let the system know that editing is complete.
Each time I open a new image in ACR and then open image the editing screen reverts to QUICK mode and a smaller screen size. I then have to click to change it to EXPERT mode and then click to make it full screen. I never had this problem with PSE 10.
(I am bringing RAW images in from outside and not via Organiser.)
The attached files are two sprockets. The original part has 30 teeth. I need 34 teeth.
The MODIFIED part has one of my attempts at making 34 teeth. I have tried the following with the same error dialog box (see below):
1. Edit Sketch_6 (associated with Extrusion1) by deleting all but one of the teeth lines (2 arcs and 2 lines that make up a tooth) and making a circular pattern of 34.
2. Same circular pattern, except this time I "Close the Loop" (right-click on one of the teeth line segments > Close Loop > click on all the segments until the loop is closed).
3. Same circular pattern, except this time change the resulting patterned lines into construction lines, trace these lines with arcs and lines of my own (not construction lines), and close the loop on my own lines.
When each of the 3 attempts failed, I tried deleting Extrusion1 and making a new Extrusion feature from Sketch_6. I cannot select what I want in Sketch_6 in order to make the teeth.
I'm at the point where I'm just going to take the dimensions from the circular pattern sketch of 34 teeth, delete Extrusion1 and Sketch_6, and make my own sketch and extrusion.
For the future, I really would like to know - why is it so difficult to alter features like this? Yes, I understand that Sketch_6 is not fully constrained, and on top of this I am not privy to how it was generated in the first place (this is a part file from a vendor). But it does not strike me as something overly complicated for the Extrusion feature to recognize a change in its associated sketch. This is not the first time I have encountered something like this.
Im Currently working on c# automation.Since im using autocad interop im not able to understand the process of setting
variable in autocad..I have drawing files with different dimension styles used inside..I can filter the dimension by selection set . But the problem is im filtering through dimstyle name.Is there any dxf code for selecting all kind of dimension styles.So that it will be useful for me.
But my problem is i need to apply one particular standard dimstyle to all my drawings. How i could set variable to my new dimstyle(new). This is my code for setting variable ,but its not updating in my current document.
this is my code;
double a = Convert.ToDouble((acadDocument.GetVariable("DIMASZ"))); object b = Convert.ToDouble(2.5); acadDocument.SetVariable( "DIMASZ", b);
I've got an intermitent problem with copyclip, pasteclip and Wblocks. The functions work in some files but not other it seems to be dependent on the size of the file, i have 7 xref's in the dwg. i can copyclip to the dwg, but not form dwg. is it due to the size of dwg or what? can it be fixed? OR is there a system variable to set?
Some how the variable for saving the dwg file has changed. So, when I save a dwg, I get the prompt for me to type in the file name. What the setting is to change it back?
