How I can make Elements 11 always open in Expert mode?I'd like Elements 11 to do this whenever I either double-click a photo file to start the program or click the Elements 11 icon to start.
View 5 RepliesI have PSE11 set as the default program to open .jpegs, for instance......so, if I double-click a picture icon it will launch PSE11, but it's always in "Quick" mode initially......is there a way to configure it so that it launches in Expert mode each time?

View 1 Replies View RelatedPSE11, expert mode, when select enhance/adjust levels/lighting - the histogram does not 'pop up' as it did before, instead the dropper draw icon is enable and the only way to disable the dropper is alt F4, this is happening with other enhance options as well.
Note that the quick and guided mode are still working.
Expert mode was working fine till about 2 weeks ago, the only updates that have been done to the laptop have been the microsoft auto updates.

Have done an uninstall and reinstalled, but the issue still remains.
Need to understand what has caused the expert mode enhance options to be unusable.
When I bring up a picture which I want to edit in the expert mode I can't see the layers I created
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have successfully edited a number of RAW images in Expert Mode cannot find where to click to show that I have finished editing.The result is that I have a lot of images displaying a red band with a lock symbol showing that editing is still in progress and don't know how to let the system know that editing is complete.
View 4 Replies View RelatedEach time I open a new image in ACR and then open image the editing screen reverts to QUICK mode and a smaller screen size. I then have to click to change it to EXPERT mode and then click to make it full screen. I never had this problem with PSE 10.
(I am bringing RAW images in from outside and not via Organiser.)
Is there a way to set these defaults?
Installed PSE 11. OS is Win 7. Worked ok a short time then got message "PSE 11 stopped working". I try to open file from Orginizer into Expert Editor and only get a blank screen now. Tried all three ways of opening into Editor. (Works ok in PSE 9). What other info do you need to solve this problem? This is the second time this has happened. The first time I believe it corrected with out any action on my part.

I own photo elements 6 (photo premiere 4). Photo elem. 6 takes forever to open photo in the edit mode. Why? I am using window 8. It was working ok. Now a problem. I uninstalled it reinstalled.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with an extremely large document and I'm wondering if it can be any smaller.
I need to design a large logo for a billboard ad. The dimensions are about 14'x6' I spoke with the printing company and they weren't all that helpful about DPI & such. The most info I could get was that they print at 150 DPI, and if I wanted to make my image smaller they will scale it up.
Problem is, it's a very elaborate pixel based graphic that I don't want to be distorted when blown up. So, I've been trying to design at the literal dimensions of the sign, and 150 pixels/inch (in CS3). Problem is that I'm getting all kinds of scratch disk errors (even with 250gb free) and extremely long loading times between tasks.
Has anyone printed or designed for something to be printed at a size this large? I've made business cards before and those are always made to spec, 3"x2". I'm not 100% sure I have to follow this same rule. If it were a vector design it would be a lot easier but it unfortunately has to be pixel based.
My main plug-in will not work with Photoshop CS5 in 64-bit mode. It was working fine for awhile, but now it won't. I took my computer to the Apple store for them to look at it. They said that even though we are telling it to open in 32, the program is ignoring that command and opening in 64 bit, thereby causing my plug-in not to work.

This seems rather prestigous for a Web Developer/Graphic Artist. I think I'd like to have it since it's a simple 1 test per program, whereas Macromedia certifications take approximately 1-3 classes per program certification, and even then, Flash has a "Flash Designer Certification" and "Flash Developer Certification".
When opening an image in Photoshop CS6, in order to make the best use of the available screen area for viewing my photos, I have to either press the 'Fit Screen' option, at the top, or double-click the Hand Tool. Why doesn't the image fully fit in the available screen area automatically, when first opening? Is there a reason for images to open by default with empty space surrounding it, or is it an oversight by Adobe, in how the application works?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a windows CS6 Bridge => Camera Raw (8.2) => CS6 Photoshop (13.0.1 x64) to try to open various 16-bit raw files (.dng, .nef, .arw) which Bridge sees as 16-bit, but only an 8-bit version makes it into photoshop.
How do I convince Camera Raw to do its job?
Lightroom (4.4) is able to export a 16-bit .psd which sort-of-works but shouldn't be necessary.

For some strange reason when I open a image and click on my text tool, my image goes into vector mode even when I have create mode set for floating or selection.
I had previously done work with vectoring and perhaps I set something that in now locked. I did reset all preferences, but am still having this problem. I don't have this problem in X3.

My illustrator CS6 crashes when i try to open an AI file with RGB color mode. I worked on this file yesterday and changed it to RGB mode. Today i tried to open the file again but illustrator won't open it and crashes. It does work when i want to open a file with CMYK color mode.

View 6 Replies View RelatedEverytime I use the purge command it asks if I am sure I want to purge whatever it is I have chosen. I have tried changing the expert variable form 0 to 1. However, everytime I reopen AutoCAD the variable reverts back to 0. I have even tried changing the variable to 1 in a new drawings and saving this as my template but when I reopen AutoCAD I am still at 0. What am I missing here?

Some of my colleagues are graphic designer who also work with Photoshop and they say, that CMYK is always available... I don't understand why it's not available on my software. Do i need to change the setting or something?
