I'm trying to print the presidential medal of freedom in high-res but all the samples I found on Google image search and on wiki are low-res. Since I need it for print, I increased it to 300dpi and it looks really jagged and blurred. I tried to search for a vector version, but couldn't find it. This is how it looks:
I tried all the filters as well, but couldn't find one that suits me (cutout is the closest, but it still looks horrible). I'm using Photoshop CS5.
Except finding an original high-res (which is impossible right now), in which other creative way can I fix it?
I have pc that uses xp pro cs5.1 extended....everything on the program works!! in normal editing mode I can do most things including sharpening, selection....recently I started to edit within layers and I can get most things done...but I cannot figure out how to sharpen the image once it is in layers as it is not one of the choices in the drop down menu, the same goes for selection.
If this cannot be done then I will flatten the image and edit normally. My knowlege of layers is basic.
I have a some RAW images in (cr2 files) and not all the pictures are in focus (only about half of each picture, so i would like to make everything in focus) there isnt any option to redo the pictures but, what are my options to sharpen it, that visually seems everything in focus!!!
So how can i sharpen the image(make things in focus ) (The image is like the one i have attached, first obect is in focus and the background is not, and i would like to try making everything like the first one in focus)
how can i sharp a scanned image by flat bat scanner , because scanned image has very large quantities of dots and when i go to unsharp mask and any other tool but couldnt be succeeded. so i will be very thankful if any person tell me the right way of sharpning the scaned image.
These images are going to go on a mini slide of our products on our new website, but I can't seem to get the image focused....I would upload the image but Picturetrails is down. I swear this darn thing will be the death of me!! The image size is 52 pixels (height) and 26 pixels in width.
I am trying to sharpen a small portion of an image and folling the instructions given in the help files, I cannot locate the "Sharpen Tool" in the tool menu. How I can find this asset in Elements 10?
I'm looking for a way to collect often needed functions to a separate - let's say - "favorite" menu.
As I mostly do beauty retouching I need "highpass", "gaussian blur", "unsharpen", "Topaz adjust" or "PTlens" all the time, (which are 3rd party plug-ins). But every single time I have to go through the menus to call the specific function.
Is there maybe already a way to collect you favorite used functions in a personally customized menu?
If you had to recommend a "color correction" plugin, which would it be? I'm assuming that most you use PS's native tools for the most part but have a couple color correction plugins you think actually work...
I discovered Paint Shop Pro many many years ago, and have been using version 4 (that's not X4, but the old Shareware version 4.12, from 1996!) to do the very basic image manipulation that I need to do. Basically: open up a jpg, crop it, resize it, sharpen it, save it. That's pretty much all I need to do 90% of the time, and I love PSP, because it's such a tiny program that it opens up really quickly. I've been thinking about trying a bit of website creation, so I decided to splash out for a decent graphics program. Not being able to afford Photoshop (and I wouldn't know what to do with 99% of it), I thought it made sense to stick with something I know: Paint Shop Pro.
I hate the mouse. If I can avoid using it, I do. But I'm stumped at how to go about sharpening my cropped image, since the keyboard "hotkey" for Sharpen is the same as Skin Smoothing - ie, S. So when I go Alt+A (to open the Adjust menu) and S (to get the Sharpen sub-menu), I get the Skin Smoothing tool.
I have been trying to upload some jpeg pics (saved for web) created in Photoshop 7.0. Every time I try to upload to a particular site, I get the message that there is an error, file name must not contain spaces. Now, I upload to other sites (E-Bay, etc) with no problem. I am using an I-Mac, which may well be the problem, but, then, other people use the same computer and have no problem.
I have tried saving the files using Graphic Converter, but no change.
Why the system variable is valuable to you if you can. CTAB - Useful in FIELD with Layouts for titleblock sheet numbering.OFFSETGAPTYPE - Multiple offset settings.
I have Photoshop Elements 11. I designed a book cover with Microsoft Word 2010 and saved the file as a Pdf. I want to upload an image of this book cover to various web sites that require a Jpeg image and the book cover has to cover at least 85% of the image and require a pure white back ground. Pixel size can be 1,000 or more. I did go to the library to get reference books but, I can't ascertain from these books how to do this. I am a beginner to Photoshop and realize I will have to get training for future projects. I wanted to upload an image from my computer to show you the book cover but there was a dialogue box that appeared saying the file was too large to upload. The book cover I designed is 8.5' x 11.0"
I created an image using the new Gimp 2.8 update, but when I try to upload the image to Facebook it gets all blurry. Any other photos I upload are fine, and I made another image in Gimp 2.6 of the same size (2400 pixels x 1800 pixels) which uploads normally, but for some reason no matter what I do the new picture made in 2.8 always uploads blurry.
I exported the image to jpeg format (although I also tried png) without messing with the export settings at all. Do I need to change them to make it upload to Facebook normally?
I am having diffuculty with the blend tool! I tried to upload the image but it said it was't allowed. Not sure how to correctly explain the problem but I'll do my best. I am have trouble getting the blend tool to recognize the images. I can only select the very edge of the images and then it doesn't look like it should when it does blend. How I can upload the file to show what I am trying to say?
1. How do you check the overall size of an image in Lightroom 4 before exporting. In Photoshop it is image/size so what is it in Lightroom?
2. I have Canon raw files and tiffs and want to upload to 500PX and other web site galleries in one action. Is it possible? How do you set up an action to convert an image, say a tiff, to a certain size and then save as a jpeg and upload to 500pX using the plugin all in one action? At the moment I am saving the tiff as a jpeg to a correct size using a pre set, but then exporting to another folder ready to either manually upload or re-import to Lightroom as a jpeg then upload.
Is there any way to add a favorite brush stroke to the list of brush strokes, or do you always have to open the original file to access the brush stroke?
When I make a print from CS6 the image on paper is narrower than the stated dimension in the program. The height of the image is faithfully reproduced. I know that there must be a preference setting to correct this but I can't remember which one it is.
Was printing 4x6" from LR 5.3 fine. To an Epson 3880. Then went to Page Settings (MAC) changed paper size to 8.5x11". The preview responded with a larger page. I scaled the image up to 8x10 via lightroom cell size. But when I printed to the Letter size paper, LR printed only a close to 4x6" top left corner. This was not a full image like the 4x6. It was just a corner.
Exported to PS and printed fine. Can not figure why the print will not print the full image?
