Floating photos in Elements11, how I can keep them in the workspace like elements 6 really annoying when looking under photoshop and seeing the photo blocks my desktop or something simular or even blocks the tools bar opions at the bottom, which also seems far to big any way in making that smaller or putting it at the top like elements 6 .. ( think I may just go back tho that 6 )
View 4 RepliesI’m editing an image in Elements 11 and have accidentally gotten myself into a mode that I don’t understand and so far have not been able to extract myself from. I want to clone an item from the image. I select the Clone Stamp tool and suddenly I have a second floating duplicate of the image which gets dragged around every time I move the cursor. How do I get rid of this second floating image?

I used to be able to minimize my images and have them on my workspace side-by-side. I liked the convenience of dragging and dropping as well as seeing things right beside each other.
I can't figure out how to do it with PSE11.
How do I click and drag the corner of an image to enlarge it beyond the edit workspace? Using the Navigator, I can enlarge the image, but am only able to view part of the image in the workspace, not the entire thing. When editing, I need to see the entire photo and its edges. I could do this in the earlier versions, but not 10. What am I doing wrong? I am a former user of photoshop 7, elements 8.

Can't drag or scroll the window down except for the lower rh corner. All updates are installed. Restart doesn't work. I also tryed to move it to another workspace. No support of that either.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've used photoshop elements 10 ad it's worked fine on my other computers. I just purchased a new computer, same size monitor and I can barely read the font or text on it. I have 20/20 vision but the workspace is so small on this computer. I've tried changing the resolution on my screens and it's not changing photoshops screen at all. I'm not sure why it is a great size on my past computers and this updated computer it's not showing properly ? I can not use the program any longer with the changed sizing.

There are now two images side by side.
Over the left one are several tabs, although not one for every image (they don't all fit).
Over the right one is a single tab, with the name of the open image.
How do I change which image is shown on the right?
I can change the left one by selecting the left image then double-clicking on the image I want in the project bin.If I try the same on the right, the image I double-click on goes into the left side of the window.I can't pick from tabs, because there aren't any (other than the currently open one) over the right window.
I am using PSE10 with Windows 7. I've looked at the on-line documentation and tutorials, and they don't go into details about controlling the division of the windows.
how do I get raw NEF files (from Nikon) to open in the edit workspace of elements 8? I have windows 7 , and when I try to open NEF raw files from the viewer, it says cannot recognize the file type.

New user to PSE11. Is it recommended that ALL photos be in albums or is the idea that photos in albums are a subset of the photos in folders? With all the sort and search functionality, I don't understand the benefit of albums.I name my image folders using a standard naming convention with the date embedded so it makes them rather easy to manage.

When I attempt to sync photos in iTunes (to synch with my iPhone), Photoshop Elements appears in the drop down and when I select it, it finds all the "albums" in the catalog. However, when I select an album to sync, iTunes indicates 0 photos are available in the album.
I'm running photoshop elements 11, iTunes 11.0.1.12, Windows 8 Pro.
if I try to sync "all photos and albums" it still reports that there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've tried to make new albums, which iTunes "sees" the names, but there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've also tried to sync with a folder (file system) which works just fine.
I accidently changed the color of the background outside of my docked image from grey to black and can not figure out how to reset it to the default grey. The workspace dock color is grey until I dock an image and then the color surrounding my image changes to black. This is occuring in the Full Edit Mode.
