Aug 1, 2013All of the pictures that I import from my blackberry show as a broken file in my elements organiser. They apear normal in my hard drive but I cannot view them in Adobe Elements.

Nov 6, 2013I have a very uncommon problem that , when i update my banner of website which has photo of handmade leather messenger bag and leather backpack and wit size of 1343px x 460 px and i make exact same size image in Photoshop using 72 dpi and after uploading and updating my website banner get cropped automatically.
I tried everything in code of my website but every time i change it crops the image. what resolution i must take to make my image say similar as source. My website is

Photoshop :: Nikon D800 RAW Files - Images Not Shown After Download
Mar 30, 2012I just shot my first batch of RAW images using the new Nikon D800. When I downloaded the images using Bridge the thumbnails in the download dialog shows the images. But after download the images are not being shown. Instead I get an icon. If I double click on an image I get a message that camera RAW doesn't recognize the file and a recommendation to update.
I have checked updates from within Bridge and from Photoshop and both tell me that everything is up to date. Photoshop tells me the camera RAW plug in is 6.6 and that is the latest shown on the Adobe download page. According the the information page 6.6 is compatible with the D800.
GIMP :: Viewing Images - No Thumbnail Preview Only List Shown?
Mar 6, 2011Downloaded Gimp last night, and when I opened up to view the images, I see only a list, not thumbnails. Gotta have thumbnails to see what exactly I'm looking at, regardless whether the images are named or numbered. don't Gimp have that option to change the viewing mode, like Windows?
I have Windows 7 (64 bit).

Aug 29, 2012At the bottom of the Organizer screens it always says "972 items dated etc". But then depending on something I do, possibly with tags, it sometimes shows "36 items not shown" for a total of 1008. Note the View does not show any hidden files. One thing I noticed is when I put just one photo in an album and click on the album it will say "1 item found 1007 items not found for a total of 1008.
What concerns me most is that I have 36 photos floating around somewhere that I can't see.

Feb 11, 2013I recently purchased PE 11 and after installing it would not display the photo thumbnails in Organizer. Instead it only displays the broken thumbnail icon. Why is Elements presenting broken thumbnails for all of my photos and how do I fix this? Not sure if this matters but the only other Adobe product I had installed prior was Lightroom 3.6 (reaching for anything here but perhaps catalog incompatability??).

Sound is blank unless you start the preview from the very first slide, w hich is annoying for large slide shows where you need to time the music. I couldn't get preview to work at all (showing black photos until I set Run as Administrator in the .exe properties. Never had to do these things with PE 9 or 10.

May 4, 2013Following a Backup and Restore process to move from PSE 11 on Windows 7 to PSE 11 on Mac (Mt. Lion) I have broken links. Other catalog info is intact (file name, captions, tags, etc.). I moved 6 catalogs...only 1 was successful.
Background: I started with PSE 10 on Windows 7...installed PSE 11 and converted all catalogs successfully. Used File, Back Up (Full) process with an external drive to move the files and catalogs to PSE 11 on the Mac (10.8) using File, Restore Catalogs. I suspect that the issue may be in the portion of the Restore process that allows the choice between Original Location or New Location...seems like I tried both. The Adobe instructions in the PSE 11 offered step-by-step instructions but didn't elaborate much on the Location issue. I tried File, Reconnect, Reconnect All Files without success.
Photoshop Elements :: 10 - Crop To Pixel Size Broken?
Mar 18, 2014I need to crop image width from e.g. 1234px to 1230px. I select Crop from the menu, then enter 1230px for the width. PE then shows a marquee that is bigger than the image! I'm probably doing something wrong, but I can't tell what.
I'm running it on WIndows 8.0 x64, which has some other problems, so maybe I should just upgrade to 12?

Sep 29, 2013The Organizer thumbnails is showing broken images for some pictures, but when I look at the pictures using Windows Explorer or any other photo editing program, they are fine. I've already tried right-clicking the image and clicking "Update Thumbnail". How can I fix the thumbnails?

Photoshop Elements :: Pictures With GPS-data Will Not Be Shown In List-view (PSE11 / Windows 7)
Sep 14, 2013A lot of pictures of my collection do have GPS-data in EXIF-header. Sometimes they are shown on the world-map, sometimes not. In list-view they are never shown. The list-view knows only locations, which are matched with PSE.
The EXIF-input was made by two different tools (Holux GPS Software and Geosetter 3.4.16).
How can I get the list-view for the saved files without using PSE adding location?

I can use the masks that are hidden (shown with black screen) and apply them with the white brush, but I cant get white or shown masks to be taken off with the black brush. Sometimes, not always I have trouble adjusting the opacity of white masks. I was playing around with actions I downloaded and after applying three actions to a photo, elements froze on me. I read about trashing preferences, I dont know what that does or means but I tried to hit cntrol alt shift when photoshop was opening and nothing happened. When it first opens it shows I can install the new inspiration browser ( i dont know what that is either) thinking it was a required update I tried to update and it gave me an error message, something about the installer has been mis-configured.

Jun 27, 2012Why do ALL tutorial videos show the panels on the right of the screen? I loaded CS6 this week and thought I'd change them to the left. Why? Because I'm right handed and I tend to sit more to the left of the screen, which means I have to squint across to the right side of my very wide monitor to see the edit panels. I have successfully set up a profile with the panels on the left, and find it much easier to use (see below).
But... when I open an image it automatically loads to the left of the monitor (partly under the panels). I can get around that by hitting the 'F' key to get full screen mode with panels and menu, but is there a way to change the default position of the loaded image? I want to move it over to the right side as a default - like it is in screen grab below.

Mar 4, 2009I shoot strictly in raw (nef from a D80). All of a sudden a few days ago CS decided it did not want to open raw files any more, tiffs and jpgs still work fine. The first thing I tried was to download the latest raw plugin for CS and install it, still resulting in the same problem. I then proceeded to uninstall and reinstall CS in a few different ways, but to no avail. I also tried opening a raw file from my backup drive with the same results. The specific error message is "could not complete your request because of a disk error," which doesn't mean much to me but I am getting the idea that it is a problem with my machine and not the CS software itself.

Mar 27, 2013I work with 2 different Mac Pro towers. The one at my home has Photoshop cs4 and the one at my studio has Photoshop cs6. The other day I noticed that Finder on my studio computer shows the file size to be twice as big as the finder on my home computer. The pixel dimension size doesn't change, just the file size. It shows up that way after I save it on my studio computer. If I take that file home and resave it on that computer then the Finder shows the smaller file size again. I guess the questions I have are: Is the file size is actually increasing and if so, what could be causing that to happen? Photoshop shows the files to be the same size, but in the Finder window is where I see the difference.
