Why doesn't slideshow preview play the music from your start location? Sound is blank unless you start the preview from the very first slide, w hich is annoying for large slide shows where you need to time the music. I couldn't get preview to work at all (showing black photos until I set Run as Administrator in the .exe properties. Never had to do these things with PE 9 or 10.

I have a question does bridge cs3 need cache (drive space) to preview a photo or to see my photo with the slideshow feature ? i mean does bridge need to render and store the photos in the database to let me see in the slideshow or browsing i don't talk about thumbs or does it on the fly?

I have successfully done a series of slideshows of my latest trip ; 4 slideshows of about 300 pictures each. Includes both pictures and video clips . Works perfectly !
Than I created a new slideshow within that collection incorporating all the slides of the 4 sub slideshows at the start . Then I went through the slideshow and deleted ( removed out of the collection ) about half of the pictures : my aim was to have a shorter version in one slideshow ipo the 4 individual slideshows with about twice the total length
However , the newly created slideshow will not run : clicking on "preview" or "play " will give me only for a few seconds the screen " preparing preview ", then a black screen appears and the error message " Adobe has stopped working ". I am kicked out of LR and Windows 7 screen comes up " checking for a solution to your problem ".
I am running without other issues LR5.2 64 bit on Windows 7; and as I said , the other slideshows within same collection run fine
My slideshows will not play, all I get is blank screen that will not exit, I have to go to task manager just to get out of it. My previews are slow and don't play right, and cuts the music out before done. I am using Lightroom 5 now, I used to not have problems at all, and then before I got Lightroom 5 I had trouble with my print module, and then now slideshow module, I need Lightroom for College, I am at a loss as to what to do next.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn LR4 i didn't get any problem but with LR5 some functions linked to the slideshow turn to a "blank" screen.The problem appears when I try an impromptu slideshow in the library or a play, a preview in the slideshow section.
I reset the default setting in LR, I download the last driver for my graphic card but without success. With LR5.2 RC this is the same.
My O.S: Windows 7 - 64

Why is Elements presenting broken thumbnails for all of my photos and how do I fix this? Not sure if this matters but the only other Adobe product I had installed prior was Lightroom 3.6 (reaching for anything here but perhaps catalog incompatability??).
View 3 Replies View RelatedFollowing a Backup and Restore process to move from PSE 11 on Windows 7 to PSE 11 on Mac (Mt. Lion) I have broken links. Other catalog info is intact (file name, captions, tags, etc.). I moved 6 catalogs...only 1 was successful.
Background: I started with PSE 10 on Windows 7...installed PSE 11 and converted all catalogs successfully. Used File, Back Up (Full) process with an external drive to move the files and catalogs to PSE 11 on the Mac (10.8) using File, Restore Catalogs. I suspect that the issue may be in the portion of the Restore process that allows the choice between Original Location or New Location...seems like I tried both. The Adobe instructions in the PSE 11 offered step-by-step instructions but didn't elaborate much on the Location issue. I tried File, Reconnect, Reconnect All Files without success.
I need to crop image width from e.g. 1234px to 1230px. I select Crop from the menu, then enter 1230px for the width. PE then shows a marquee that is bigger than the image! I'm probably doing something wrong, but I can't tell what.
I'm running it on WIndows 8.0 x64, which has some other problems, so maybe I should just upgrade to 12?
The Organizer thumbnails is showing broken images for some pictures, but when I look at the pictures using Windows Explorer or any other photo editing program, they are fine. I've already tried right-clicking the image and clicking "Update Thumbnail". How can I fix the thumbnails?
