Edge Animate CC :: Buttons For Web Slideshow?
Jan 4, 2013I'm trying to make a slideshow similar to what is provided through the Adobe Edge showcase sample files. Particularly the designer spotlight animation.
I want to get my buttons working so that when I click one it goes to that particular slide. I have copied and modified the code to work in that way but for some reason I can't get my animations to play when I click buttons-only the first button plays the first animation. Whenever I click the other button, it behaves as if it's playing the whole animation until it reaches the point of where it needs to play from the timeline.
I can post code to show you an example.
Here's what I have inside of the stage code:

All of the code seems to be set but I'm still not getting it to play exactly the way it should from the timeline.

Feb 15, 2013we are using adobe animate to make medical related flash type cards, we have completed our work BUT
problem is this when job is done edge animate created multiple files to including Scripts, images and HTML files, which becomes very difficult to upload on a server when we need to uplaod thousands of edge files on our site.
is their any way that all the files are compiled into one file? so it will become really easy to uplaod thousands of flash card. secondly, is their any way to encrypt all stuff?

Jan 5, 2013I need to have a symbol with it's own timeline play at the end of each slide in a slideshow. I have the animation for the slideshow but when it comes to the first symbol, all the symbols load instead of just the one needed for the slide. I have tried setting "play from" but that seems to refer to the symbol timeline not the stage timeline. All symbols are set to "hide" upon click.
The real problem comes when playing in reverse. The symbol plays first with "hide" feature but does not continue the reverse animation from the stage since the "hide" feature stops the action.

3.I need Parallex scrolling where you can have the timeline or animations run while you scroll in the meantime and have animation running all the time, for example the infographic site where the bees are fluying but still have seperate animations while you scroll
4.I would also like to ask if like looping each animations sperately, not looping the whole timeline, can it be possible to loop an animation while you have all the interactivity witht he site like looping seperately all the time, without interfeering with all the other animation
5.I also are wondering if you can create multiple pages on one animate project, like multiple pages with html
I just moved on to edge animate from html, and html was also beirf learn for me and mostly i was doing design work, and i thought getting out of graphic river and moving on the theme forest.
I want also all the five things to work on one aimate project.

Feb 18, 2014so user error is not unlikely, but I have a small animation with 11 small circles that animate opacity and Y pos. The circles are all symbols and are being controlled (play/stop) from the main timeline. When I preview, half of them do not show up. The symbols that don't appear are consistent from preview to preview. I've looked at the Elements in the browser and they are there, they just aren't animating.
So I thought I would just recreate the "bad" symbols and their animations, but they are still not animating in my preview. When I play the timeline in Edge Animate evrything is fine.
I've tried it in Chrome, Safari and Firefox (all latest releases) with the same result.
Is there a symbol bug in Edge? Is there a method of creating symbols that I should be using (other than draw, cmd-Y and edit symbol timeline)?
Edge Animate CC :: Timeline And Preview / Publish Do Not Match?
Jun 27, 2013My timeline looks just fine, and when I was originally working with the file, the publish went well. Now, the preview/publish are shifting elements causing a mess of a presentation and I cannot figure out why.

Apr 30, 2013uick response as I have to present this work tomorrow. I have been working with the "preview in browser" to view an animation which is a simple matrix of drag and drop. It works perfectly in the preview, but when I publish it either to .oam (bringing it into muse) or directly to html it loses all of its functionality. I am pretty new to this, but I have been using the same methodology for all my other animations and they work fine.

Aug 17, 2012I'm trying to create a photo slideshow DVD. I've used one of the instant project templates. Populated the placeholders and then dropped my photos into one of the video overlay tracks. I now want to increase the duration from 3s to 6s. I have tried doing so by dragging out the first clip to 6s and by double clicking and manually editing to 6s. The result is the same: I get 3s of random transition between that clip and the next.
What I want to do is create 6s photo clips with a transition between each clip. So, how do I increase the photo duration to be visible for 6s and how do I then drop a transition between all the clips? I don't want to add them manually as there are nearly 200 photos?

Aug 31, 2013This is something I recently wanted to do, but found that the clipping in Edge Animate only allows us to make a square or rectangle shape. I'm pretty disappointed by this because technically you can make a circular, or elliptical, clip shape using HTML5 and CSS3. Also, the same is true for masks. I would love to see this as a future update in Edge Animate because I can see a few more instances where I would want to use clipping, or masking, in this way.

I want that my animation play every 3 seconds until the next sym.stop and then play again after 3 seconds.
Ej. I have 3 triggers in the timeline:
