Photoshop Elements :: Imported Photos From Blackberry - Broken Files Shown
Aug 1, 2013
All of the pictures that I import from my blackberry show as a broken file in my elements organiser. They apear normal in my hard drive but I cannot view them in Adobe Elements.
When i imported some pictures and want to see them in miniature ,i just can see a time glass instead off the photos. how shall i do if i want the photos showed instead ?
My Lightroom catalogue crashed, and i started a too old backup version. By importing new files, lightroom does show the older files in the importfield, are they still there? I desperately need them back,
How do I ####add new photos to groups of pictures with specific tags? - these tags were used to organize pictures in Elements 5. As these groups are extremely important to my organization (100s of pic) I am not very happy with Elements 11
I recently imported photos from my camera to my laptop and Photoshop Elements 11. Why do each of the images have an icon that says they are offline? And when I try to enlarge them, they are blurry?
I am using Photoshop Elements 10 Version 10 (20110831.m.17215) and everytime I plug in a memory card to upload images it wants to upload every image on the card, even though it has previously uploaded images from that card, even though I have the "Copy New Files Only (Ignore Already Imported Files)" box ticked in the preferences Camera or Card Reader section. This gets very frustrating and time consuming when I have to go through the images every single time to uncheck the images that have already been uploaded.
When I installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, I imported all my photes from files and folders. Many of the photos were upsided down. When I rotated them, they moved to the curent date. How can I keep them in the original dated sequence?
I imported my photos into organizer. I don't see the pictures, all I see are grey squares. I have to open every single picture in editor before I can see it in the organizer.
I am using PSE 9. I go to organizer, open a photo to edit, go to edit, edit photo, then close photo. Then I go back to organizer and photo. The photo is replaced with what looks like a "cracked" file. Is there a way to finish your edit or finalize it or something?
Elements Organizer 10 started misplacing all the Imported Files in the folder above at some point.
In Folder Location view (under Display) I right click folder B and chose Import to Elements Organizer. Once the Import is finished, all photos but one are under folder A instead... needless to say my catalog now looks very messy because photos show in folders with different names. In Finder they appear in the right place, and even the File Properties in Elements show the correct location. Just not the Folders.
I have about 20k files imported in my catalogue, this started happening recently and affects only files imported in certain external drives or partitions.I tried the repairs, optimizations, reconnects etc. for the catalogue, looked for updates and restarted the software many times now.
I seem to have issues with this particular file from sketchup pro, Ive tried converting the .bak file without luck, on my mac the file briefly opens then closes.
I am using autocad 2013 student and also tried opening it on other computers with the same result.
The files are Mpeg4..I just upgraded some PSE 11 catalogs to PSE 12 and all functions and tags imported fine. When I import video only into PSE12 organizer, it will not generate a thumbnail image. I imported the same files into the old catalog using PSE11 and the thumbnails will be created. I have even gone a step further and converted the PSE11 catalog after imports were made, and PSE12 will now have the thumbnails. Eventually PSE11 is going to have to be uninstalled.
I've got some 500 photos in a folder which were imported on two different dates. I've created a new album on the right hand side under "Organize" and just the photos I want are in there. When I look at the folder on the right, all the pictures are there. But I can't call up just that folder; instead what I get on my screen is all 2500 photos in all my photo albums! Not what I want! What I want to get is all the photos in the order in which they were taken on the actual day as all 500 photos were taken at the same day. And I want to be able to view just the 500 photos in that folder by the time those pictures were taken. But, when I imported the second batch of photos it showed the date the file was created rather than the date the photo was taken so, basically, I've got one batch of photos showing the date they were taken (which I downloaded via a link a few days later), and one showing the date they were copied!
I cannot see any GPS data on my jpeg photos in Lightroom 4.4 (was the same in 4.3), I add the data on the computor using JOBO photoGPS softwear, lightroom works fine with RAW files GPS data but not that added to jpegs, post capture. I shoot Raw files and jpegs with both a Pentax K-x and a Sigma DP1 then add GPS data recorded at the time with a JOBO GPS unit attached to the hotshoe.
If I use my new Pentax K-30 with a Pentax GPS unit which adds GPS data in camera, there is no problem, Lightroom shows this, RAW and jpegs.
The JOBO unit software give better additional metadata information, addresses etc than the Pentax unit, though it does take more work to use. This issue effects uploads to flickr as there is no GPS location then shown there.
I take a series of images, insert the SD card into the card reader and import the images into LR 4.3 RC.
Later after taking more images I insert the SD card into the reader, click Import in LR and it now imports all the old images again with '-2' appended to the file name.
'New Photos' is selected at the top of the Import dialog window.
LR 4.2 did not do this as far as I can recall - is this a known problem in 4.3 RC?
Happens on Windows 7 64 bit and OS X Mountain Lion.
I use PSE 12. I shoot RAW photos and use the Organizer to upload the photos from my camera to the computer. The organizer produces a jpg file with me doing anything. How do I turn off this unwanted freature?
PSE 9 does not find the new photos that I add to my windows folders. Previously it had found the photos, showed me the thumbnails and then imported them. It no longer does this. I am using Vista.
Just upgraded to Photoshop and Premiere Elements 12. Decided to use Elements Organizer for the first time starting with a completely new Catalog.
I selected a subset of my photos to just check it out -- a folder with 3 subfolders. I am certain there are zero duplicates in my Windows file structure. After "Get Photos and Videos" "From Files and Folders..." the import occured quickly but all 3 subfolders were duplicated under "My Folders". Photos were also duplicated.
It's not too bad that My Folder shows dupes but the images are considered 100% different between. For example, if I tag 1 photo, the same one in the duplicate folder still needs tagged. I should not need to run a duplicate image search either when the source folder contains no duplicates. This is really disconcerting as I have nearly 20K photos (I scanned every photo my mom and dad took from the past 30 years). Cleanup of false dupes in something that large is just rediculous.
Is this a bug? May-be an intentional function of the program?
Have used previous versions for years but not on this PC. Each time I try to import, it goes through some number of photos, up through 2,00 plus sometimes and then says import failed and I get nothing. It claims the file is the wrong type (only jpgs and psds). I don't know what the stumbling block is or why elements doesn't jut ignore files it can't read and go on to the next.
I work with photos that I put on desktop. I open them with preview, make a copy, and paste them into other software. When I am through with them and don't want to use them again, I usually move them from the desktop to the trash....that's when I get the (?)(missing file) notation on my photo in organizer. Is there a way to remove them from the desktop without moving them to the trash. Using macbookpro os x 10.6.8
I am using PSE 10 on a Mac and I would like to export photos from an album as jpeg files to the hard disk. I would like to rename the files so that the first image in the album will have a the album name and index 1, the second image will have the same name and index 2 etc.
I imported my photos from my camera to adobe bridge and they looked great. I had no problems saving them in the file folder that I had chosen and when I open them in Photoshop CS4, they look awful. They are all pixelated and broken up and I really don't think my Nikon D90 had anything to do with this and I am very frustrated. Is there a setting that I am missing that could be the problem? What steps can I take to make sure I haven't missed anything because I find it difficult to enhance photos that look so bad when opened in PS.
I just shot my first batch of RAW images using the new Nikon D800. When I downloaded the images using Bridge the thumbnails in the download dialog shows the images. But after download the images are not being shown. Instead I get an icon. If I double click on an image I get a message that camera RAW doesn't recognize the file and a recommendation to update.
I have checked updates from within Bridge and from Photoshop and both tell me that everything is up to date. Photoshop tells me the camera RAW plug in is 6.6 and that is the latest shown on the Adobe download page. According the the information page 6.6 is compatible with the D800.
I have Photoshop 11 and wish to put the star ratings to my photos. They are presently not being shown. I followed the video which states to go into View and click on Details. I did this and all the showed up was the date
