Jun 27, 2013I have the student version of AutoCAD 2012 on an HP laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium OS. I originally installed AutoCAD in June of 2012. It worked fine for 9 or 10 months but now whenever I select File/Open, File/Save, or File/Save As, AutoCAD stops responding and the spinning blue donut appears. AutoCAD never comes back and I have to close it from Task Manager. I uninstalled AutoCAD and reinstalled it, and the process went smoothly. However I still have exactly the same problem with the File operations. I apply Windows updates, but other than that have not made any changes to the software on the laptop. AutoCAD works fine for everything except the File operations. I am able to save with CTL/S and am able to open AutoCAD files from File Manager.

Mar 28, 2013On a MacBook Pro, OSx 10.6.8. Using CS6 on .tifs, resizing the file to 600px wide - approx. 750k file - try to save for web, 80 percent quality and I get the folder screen, but it's open to "documents". Then I get spinning beachball, then CS crashes. Shuts down.
I've tried restarting, no luck. I've had this happen before and I don't remember how it got worked out. I perform this function all the time and there's nothing new in my workflow. I read in another thread about metatag conflicts, and I do process the raws in Capture One before retouching in CS6, but I've done that before without any problem.
Photoshop :: CS5 Crashing When Trying To Save And Open Files
Jun 30, 2012Recently my photoshop CS5 has been playing up and often when I try to save files it will freeze at the point of clicking ok and crash. Today also it crashed when I tried to open a photoshop file.This is incredibly frustrating as I'm a graphic designer and trying to complete some urgent work but I'm getting nowhere because nothing I'm doing is saving and I have to keep starting over. It's literally crashed about 40 times the past day and I'm wasting so many hours that I just don't have.
My version as mentioned is CS5 and I updated it yesterday with no avail.
My laptop is a Mac

I don't think I've done anything for this to start happening it just came out of nowhere..I usually only do the same few things with the program and also havn't altered files or even the computer.
Photoshop :: CC Crashing Every Time When Save PNG Format?
Aug 28, 2013 trying to save PNGs. I have had it happen six times now and again after a restart of my computer. It is weird, it saves JPEG and PSD without issue but PNG's are crashing it.
I am using Photoshop CC with all updates.
Computer is a i7 3820 with 64gig RAM and a GTX 560

Most of the time when I am drawing and go to save my file, CorelDraw X5 will freeze up (not responding) and then crash. Most of the time, I can go and restart Corel, open my file and it will have saved where I wanted it to; but sometimes it will cause me to have to use the auto-backup or just the back up file.

Oct 16, 2013I just upgraded from Photoshop Elements 9 to PSE 12. (Oddly PSE remains installed which was unexpected. Most apps that I upgrade replace their previous version). When I try to use the slideshow feature, usually while displaying the first photo, the program crashes. (It gives the error that the Organizer is closing.)
My OS is Windows 7 64-bit. Running as Admin makes no difference.
Other features - general navigation and editing are working OK. PSE 9 does not crash during a slideshow on the same machine.
Slideshow is one of my most commonly used features so I'm not impressed that I spent $80 to get a worse experience.
Photoshop Elements :: Using Selection Tool And Crashing 10?
Jun 1, 2013I have a problem using the Selectiom tool (mask). I am trying to repair an older photo with folds and scratchs. After using the Selection tool and masking the children, I then inversed the selection and tried to apply the Scratch and Dust filter but the program crashed every time I tried. I was however able to use the quick selection tool and apply the scratch and dust filter without any trouble. I would like to use the selection tool but I am having difficulty as noted above. I am using a IMac computer with OX10.8.3. I also reinstalled Photo Elements 10.
