Feb 2, 2013I transferred all my photo files from my Old XP PC where i used PSE 5.0 to my New Windows 8 computer and then loaded my new PSE 11 program in...All my JPEG files work but all my sony home video files that used to work on PSE 5.0 no longer have their pictures with their sound..And some off them even have music files running in behind the video sound files.

Oct 6, 2013I'm having some troubles viewing all my video thumbnails.
I have different kinds of video clips in my organizer, but it's only the MOV-files that won’t show. The funny thing is, that it’s only some of the MOV-files that doesn’t show up others do!
All the video clips are recorded with an iPhone, and imported to the catalog at the same time.Even though I can’t see the thumbnail, I can still playback the video clip.
I've already tried the following:
- Repairing the catalog
- Optimizing the catalog
- Restoring the preferences to default settings
- Renaming the "status.dat" and "psa.prf" files
My specifications:
- Installed Adobe software - Photoshop Elements 12 + Premiere Elements 12
- Catalog containing appx. 17.000 photos and 400 video clips
- Windows 7 64 bit
Photoshop Elements :: 12 - Unable To View Any Video / Can Hear Sound But No Picture
Jan 29, 2014Even after installing quicktime, I am still unable to view any video loaded to Elements 12. I can hear sound but no picture when I hit play. No no thumbnail photo of video available either, just blank with play button.
I am using Windows 8.1. most of the video content was taken with an iphone.

Importing video AVCHD (home video) - video plays fine....but i hear no sound.
Pumped up volume on PSE video screen and computer master volume...but still no sound. It cant be that difficult to get sound...could it?
All i did was import the video from my C drive into PSE 11. When i play the video on windows media player, it plays fine. I hear the sound perfectly at 5.1 surround. So i know the movie file is good.....so why wont the sound import into PSE 11?
My camcorder is new 2013. SonyHD w/ 5.1 surround sound
I would think there would be no compatibility issues since i am using latest PSE 11 and a newer camcorder.
Photoshop Elements :: Video File Types MTS (AVCHD) Won't Play When Premiere Is Installed
Sep 5, 2012I'm using Photoshop Elements 10 Organizer with Premiere Elements10 Installed. I have a number of files of type MTS which I understand to be AVCHD and are imported from my Panasonic Lumix TZ20 camera which captures HD video. These files will not play in the Organizer, resulting in a message stating the required Codec is missing. However, when the same file is sent to Premiere Elements for Editingand agreeing to a message to have Premiere set the correct properties for the media type it plays perfectly. What am I do wrong? Are there any settings I need to change to have Organizer also play the file successfully?

Every time I click on video clips it tells me I have to go to Premiere to activate. Is there a simpler way? I usually don't go to Premiere until I want to burn a disc..I don't need to edit the video clips.

Mar 31, 2013I have a Canon SX30IS. When I use PSE9 to download from memory card, if there are any videos present on the card, the Photo Downloader crashes.
I believe that it is something to do with Apple Quicktime. When I uninstall Quicktime , PSE downloader does not crash while importing media form this camera, but cannot play video clips. On reinstalling Quicktime , the PSE downloader crashes while searching the memory card for media.
I have not upgraded PSE twice now because of this crash. What makes it worse is that Apple Quicktime is a very poor media player, managing about 2FPS on the video clips from this camera when both the Canon and the VLC video codecs can manage 30FPS.
I would much prefer if I could choose to use a video renderer, like using any available Windows codecs rather than insisting on using annoying Apple software.
3ds Max :: Play Animation With Sound
Nov 29, 20113ds Max 2011, chapter Adding sound...I did exactly the same as this document presents but when pressed Play Animation button, there is no sound. It's stunning because in ProSound dialog, I can play the audio file without problems.

Premiere Pro :: GH2 Video File - Clips Audio Was Assigned To All The Other Remaining Clips?
Mar 5, 2014I've been working the last 6 months with 4 GH2s and ran into some strange troubles when initially importing them to the timeline. 2 hour shots are divided into 6 or 7 different files, and when brought into PP the first clips audio was assigned to all the other remaining clips. This was pretty strange, but I fixed it by using TSmuxer. It was added time in the workflow/set up, but in the end I could produce;
The latest update of PPCC now combines the entire 2 hours of footage into each of the 7 files being imported. So it is importing 2 hours of footage 7 times for each camera. The conforming is taking forever! For 4 cameras it's conforming 14 hours of footage each, when it should literally be a 7th of that.
It is taking up large amounts of time and disk space.
VideoStudio :: Sync Sound Won't Play
Feb 22, 2011When I run my project with sound on, those clips shot with a HDV camcorder do not play the sync-sound recorded on them properly. I know that the sound recorded with the clops is perfectly alright as it plays properly when each clip is run individually. when they are run as a part of the whole in the project mode all I get is an unintelligible beating sound. I also have clips in the project that were shot with a DV camcorder and the sync-sound with them plays perfectly alright in any mode. I am unable to find any mention of sync-sound in Corel's user guide and am at a loss of what to do to make the sync-sound play correctly. I haven't attempted to lay my sound-track for the project yet.

Apr 3, 2012All of a sudden my Videostudio X4 will not play any clip for longer then a second or two. When you play a clip or the project it plays for 1 or 2 seconds and stops just like you hit the stop or pause button. Click play again and it does the same thing. Makes it really impossible to edit. The issue is when I deleted the sound and music clip from my folder it disappeared from my video project and I would have to get the clip back into my music folder and keep it in there until I burned a DVD. Aug 30, 2013I am running the 30 days trial version of the VS pro X6, but the added clips are muted. important before buying).
When I add a clip the sound is ONLY played when volume for the clip is 100% (other value makes the clip mute) and is the clip preview, not the project preview. (project preview plays only the added soundtrack- if there is any).
Even if volume is 100%, when exporting the project, clip sound is muted (only the added soundtrack will sound).
- Of course I have tested several clips, and with or without an additional mp3 soundtrack.
- I also installed the just released VS SP 1, but no changes.
- I export (Share) using Vimeo HD template.
- Problem is not shown if I use VS 11 (which I also has installed).
My system characteristics are in my profile and also here:
- Win 8 pro 64 bits
- Dell Inc. Vostro 3360
- 1.70 gigahertz Intel Core i5-3317U
The clip's properties are:

VideoStudio :: X5 Loses Sound Between Clips?
Oct 4, 2012I've been using X5 to edit a project that has about 20 small clips in it. I've noted that (1st occurrence of this) moving from one clip to the next in the main project timeline, the sound in the next clip just vanishes. Selecting the affected clip individually and then playing confirmed its got sound there.
This was first seen after turning ripple editing on (the little padlock went from open to closed). But various measures did not remove the effect:
- turning ripple editing off
- delecting the affected clip - the next clip in turn was affected by this
- closing X5 without saving the project changes, then re-starting X5 and opening that project. At the same point in the timeline, sound went away.
Is there any known explanation for this, and how can I remove this effect?

VideoStudio :: Sound Preview For Clips After Pic-in-pic Added
Mar 7, 2012I'm using videostudio 4pro... I find that if I apply pic-in-pic on any video clip I can no longer hear the audio when previewing a clip. I have to choose project to hear audio. To hear the audio I must split the audio track from the video track... is this the only way to preview audio for a clip once I apply pic-in-pic?

Sep 22, 2012I bought VideoStudio x5 about 3 weeks ago, there has been a bit of a learning curve but I am starting to get what I want. I still cant figure out one problem. I am screen capturing with another program because well videostudios screen capture doesn't work that well. My program produces AVI's and I bring them into video studio and piece them together. When I piece videos together, it skips for some reason a second or 2 into the second track. I have tried converting to mp4, hdv 720p - 30p (for PC), AVCHD (1820x720 60P), "Same as first video clip" and they all do the same thing.
