how to create dvd menu buttons from a layered psd file in photoshop.
I have Digital Juice Print Design Elements-Shape Frames and i know that DvD menu buttons can be created from these.
I have a Sony DvD Architect Studio and i would like to import these photoshop edited menu buttons in to some of my projects as the available buttons in Sony DvD Architect doesn't look appealing to me.
I made some menu buttons and they just don't look that great. They are supposed to be stacked and on the left side-about 6 of them. I want to do some rollover effects and stuff- any tips, examples.
I'm working on creating a disc menu in VS Pro X4. I've customized several parts of my menu (background, music, text, etc.), but I can't figure out how to change the little highlight icons that appear next to the selected menu options. Is it even possible to customize these?
whenever im in photoshop, and i go to click "Save to Web" or any of the "Filter" options or anything like that, i click it and nothing pops up.... What could be wrong here? all the tool buttons work ok, its just the stuff on menus that dont work. its PSD 7.0, my res settings are 1152x864, and PS 7.0 and Win XP.
I'm trying to create some nice graphics for a company website in CS3. I want to make buttons for links that have special effects when you roll over them with the mouse, click on them, etc. (I'm using Dreamweaver CS3 to put the site together). I have looked for tutorials on how to put the special link buttons together, but they all use ImageReady, which I don't have in Photoshop CS3. Any suggestions for where to go to find a good tutorial, or better still, anybody know how to make these buttons work?
How do you create crisp buttons? I have a client that needs a number of buttons saved at 32x32, 24x24 and 16x16 pixels. I have designed the buttons in Illustrator, but when they are placed into photoshop they can end up blurring. I understand they have to pixelate, but the problem I am having is that some of the vertical and horizontal lines end up sitting between to rows of pixels and so spread across both, blurring the line. Is there any magic way to fix this other than fine tuning the position, or altering the vector? Or should these types of buttons be created in a different program?
I am generally very proficient with Photoshop, but I've never had to work at this scale before.
Newbie to paint.net and I dabble with making my own DVD menus and wanted to expand my creativeness with making my own buttons and graphic images to use on these DVD menus. DVD menu buttons that look good requires image mask overlays and/or manipulating image and color attributes.
Bottom line question: Does Paint.net have all of the tools needed to create DVD menu buttons, and are there tutorials that explain how-to?
My mouse has a lot of extra buttons on it, and I've set up Maya to open different marking menus when using those buttons. In order to use those marking menus, I have to hold down the extra button and then left-click. Is there a way I can set up the marking menus to open without left-clicking?
Can I create popup button control underneath another pop button control?
I can do this with .net controls, but I can't seem to get this to work with Inventor. Whenever I try to add a command bar to another command bar.Controls I get an Invalid Parameter error.
Here is what I am referring to. I would like to be able to add a menu below a menu.
I wish to report a bug that has been present in x4 and x5 regardless of SP or updates installed. Due to this bug I use X3 as it was the last version that worked for me.
The bug is that several menu buttons on the Edit screen will not display correctly, it is as if the icon is corrupted. This happens with the free trial version as well as with a registered version with updates installed.

Using the CUI I can drag buttons from one toolbar to another to copy them but they remain linked. A change to one changes the other. How do I create a brand new button that I can add my code to?
I am creating a map of the US wherein each state would ideally be its own button. I would like this to trigger an event that makes that state bigger. How can I set this up? I have my map laid out in Illustrator with states on individual paths.
I want to create a dialog consisting of multiple buttons. As a result I want value which button was pressed by user.

But buttons don't work, wybranyKolor returning 'undefined'. If I change "wybranyKolor = myButton[k].label" to "wybranyKolor = myButton[k-1].label" I get proper answer but it is the same for all buttons so it looks that all buttons have the same action assigned. How to get each button to has unique name which can be passed to variable?
Probably I can achieve the same with radio buttons' list but with buttons it is one click less for the user.
I'm creating a DVD Menu in Photoshop CS% for use in Encore authoring a DVD. My question is about workflow...
I've tried creating the elements of my menu in Photoshops "Film?Video" Preset which creates a document 720x480 / 72ppi (This is the NTSC Widescreen selection in the Preset)
The document size is too small to work with... it has to be enlarged to 160% or more... and become terribly pixelated.
Would a better workflow be to creat my menu in a larger Photoshop document with better resolution... and then free-transform it to a new document created at the Fim/Video Preset?
Also... in the Film/Video Preset there is a "Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction" setting that is a preview of the document in Widescreen mode. If I free-transfrom a larger Photoshop document to this Preset should the PAR Correction be turned ON of OFF when I place it?
I upgraded from the old Video Studio 10 Plus to the Corel Pro 3X. I am now in the process of downloading all the Get More updates. While I am doing this, here is my Menu/Chapter problem.
1. I created the first video (part 1). I somehow have a main menu, and the the second menu has my chapters to select. Yay! I saved the menu to My Favorites. The DVD works great, a person can select a chapter to play,etc.
2. Now I am trying to create the second video (part 2). Somehow in My Favorites I have two menu templates from the first DVD I created. I have tried selecting each one and am trying to create a main menu, and then the second menu with 4 chapters. But each time I end up with 4 chapter menus, but I want the second menu to have the 4 chapters on it that you select a chapter thumbnail that your want to view.
I hate to start from scratch because I like the fonts, etc. from the first DVD, which is part 1.
I am trying to create a pull down menu in a door schedule. My goal is that when I load a door family into my model it will generate as much as the required schedule information as possible. Eliminating the need to manually fill out the schedule.
I have already set up shared parameters for typical schedule items; such as door material, door type, frame material, etc. I would like to set up pull down menus for the schedule items that will differ from door to door (fire rating for example), via the door family type parameters. The research I've done seems to point to using nested families. This is something I am not all that familiar with. Do I need to use nested families to do what I'm trying? If so, what would be the best way to do it? How would I create a nested family?

I just installed a fresh CS5, we are using some scripting that's installed on 5 other CS5 machines and this never happened before - when files are being saved (using 'save as', overwriting the original) this particular setup is saving xml files too!? See below
i have tried installing and reinstalling twice and it has not fixed my problem. have so many uses for photshop on a daily basis and this just stops them. I have the newest update for Photoshop CC the photoshop i am using it also does not work with he 64 bit or the normal version.
I am in the process of creating a large( 10 feet by 3 feet) sign for a hockey arena. I am having trouble saving it as an eps file, which is what the printer has requested, without distorting or completely changing the effects? I am using photoshop cs5 on Mac os 10.6.8.
I have Win 7 and my PS CS 6 worked fine for months but now has stopped opening any files or creating new ones. Instead it just freezes without any errors warnings. I do have CS5 PS still installed and it still works fine. All other CS6 programs work fine also. I tried uninstalling and reinstalled and I still got the same problem.
Photoshop CS6 as of today.I have a number of .grd files which containg "sets" of gradients (no idea how they create thoose "multiple swatch .grd files"). Is there a way I can create one master "favorites.grd" set of gradients where I can pick swatches from the scores of sets I already have?
Also, how do people create the .grd sets that have lots of gradient patches in them to choose from?
I have: AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.0 GHz. 3 Gig's Ram. 32 bit Windows Vista Home Premium. Photoshop CS3 Extended.
It takes 20 Seconds+ to open a jpg or to create a new file even 50x50 pixels. Loading the actual program is very quick though. I have a network printer, but I set Microsoft XPS Document Writer as my default.(Its a local printer) I Run PS CS3 as admin and with compatability for xp sp2.
I have just recently installed AutoCAD LT 2014 on Windows 7 (Running on an intel iMac through Bootcamp). Ever since then i am receiving notifications when performing a save.
AutoCAD is telling me it cannot perform the save and is creating a .tmp file in the same location on the server as the file should be.
this is causing major performance issues and happens almost every second time I attempt to perform a save. The issue is that we are getting multiple versions of the same file duplicating on the file server which is very quickly going to cause capacity issues considering most files are 2-4mb in size.
It appears when I copy a folder of photos up to a server, it's also copying some hidden files that nobody can do anything with, causing problems. For instance, say my folder name is Photos, I just drag and drop the entire Photos folder onto the server. But if inside Photos i have a dog.jpg and cat.jpg file, there are also hidden files names ._dog.jpg and ._cat.jpg. it's those two hidden files that are causing problems when people go to work with that folder.is it something in OSX I need to change?
if there was a quick and simple way of selecting a number of files (in my particular case 8 .jpg's) and having them all open as a single .psd with each .jpg being on a separate layer.
I have 8 png files that are all exactly the same apart from one part in each that differs. I want to make one image but have the image refresh every 3-4 seconds so that all the image stays the same apart from the one area that I want to change.
