Jan 11, 2012I want to create a menu for pulldowns to access often used blocks. Ive looked at the pallatte ooption but it seems its only for commands ?? Iam correct.

Aug 21, 2013I already add in the Quick Access Toolbar the "Layer Combo Control" and the "Ribbon Combo Box - Linetypes"
I would like to add also "Ribbon Combo Box - Object Color" BUT it seems impossible...
I copy it from Panels - Home - Properties and put it into Quick access Toolbar, but it never shows up and worse when I go back to CUI it has dissappeared...
The only things that works is the "color" function.

Mar 26, 2011Seems like Multi-View Blocks are like that hot red-head in high school that you really want to get to know until you get to know them.
I made a bunch of blocks for my electrical plans. Annotative symbols for plan view, 3D blocks for model view, and elevation blocks for elevations. I then started creating the MVBs.
Upon insertion the annotative blocks appear super small and the model view blocks scale way up. The model view blocks are not annotative and are not supposed to scale at all. It seems MVBs see any block inside that is annotative as an indication that the entire MVB shall be annotative. Fustrated, I finally found a work-around that is a bit half-arsed:
I made another block as a sort of holder for the annotative symbols that was set to not be annotative and inserted that into the MVB. VOILA! the MVB itself doesn't scale, but the annotative symbol inside the non-annotative block does. This works fine except for one caveat: I can't edit attributes that are in blocks inside of blocks. If I made another block to use in the MVB for the attributes, it would work, so long as I don't make it annotative, which isn't what I want.
So, A) is there a better work-around than the block-in-a-block-in-a-multi-view-block method, or B) Is there a way to access and edit attribute data of sub-blocks inside a MVB?
Maybe my next thread will be about red-headed Multi-View Blocks with carpets that match the drapes.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Fatal Error - Access Violation When Inserting Blocks From DesignCenter
May 1, 2012Inserting blocks from Design Center into model space causes the fatal error: access violation message to pop up.
This never happened in 2012, and I used it from day one.
My livelihood as a 2D drafting student depends on being able to use the blocks from DesignCenter, and now all of a sudden (I've been using 2013 since the day it released with no problems at all until about a week ago) it crashes every time I try to insert a block, regardless of which method I choose to insert with (i.e. right click insert or dragging into the model space window).
I'm on an Alienware M17x R3 running Windows 7 Home Premium with a Quad-core intel i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GTX 560M 1.5GB graphics chip.
I've tried system restore, program repair, clean uninstalls, and none of it fixes the problem. It seems that once the levee broke, so to speak, the bug is there to stay. Or perhaps more accurately, it was there the entire time and it was only a matter of time before it surfaced.
In either case, I would love, after having been a guinea pig, to see a patch issued for this if possible. Not being able to use the sample dynamic blocks is hell. Barring a patch sometime soon, I'm strongly leaning towards going back to 2012, which worked like a charm.
Photoshop Elements :: Can't Access Fonts Menu
Aug 25, 2012I cannot access my fonts menu. The drop down menu is blank box and snaps shut. I also have trouble with "save as" and file format...ie save as jpg...the drop down quickly snaps shut, I can often catch it after several tries but seriously lol.
These issues have something to do with user settings...I made a secondary account and the program works fine but changing between accounts is not the best solution. Where/what I need to look at in user settings ?

Feb 6, 2013When writting scripts to Photoshop I can use the app.runMenuItem() method to acess commands in the menus. For example: app.runMenuItem (charIDToTypeID("ZoomIn")) will run the Zoom In command.
Does Illustrator have any such method (or accepts anything like action description) to enable us to acess it´s menu items? For example acess Expand comnand, or Object > Live Paint > Make..
Photoshop :: No Longer Access Native Menu To Do Anything To Image
May 11, 2012When I open an image in PS CS6 all is well. Once I move the document, it snaps itself to the top left. If I move it and try to place it somewhere else, it moves itself a little higher to the top left. The more I move it the more it snaps higher. If I move it over 5 times it covers the main menu bar (File Edit Layer View Filter) and so on. This renders the app useless as you can no no longer access the native menu to do anything to the image.
I am on Windows 7x64 (SP1) with a Wacom Tablet. Within PS I've disabled, Tabs for windows (Both check marks) as well as Flick Panning, and animated zoom.

Jun 25, 2013I recently signed up for/installed the CC Suite and have been using it for a few days on my Windows 7 box. I had a bad PS crash this evening, and when I tried to open PS back up it seemed to think I was a new user and wanted me to sign in/reauthorize my machine. (I also had to use the cleaner/reinstall the incredibly glitchy CC Desktop client.) On top of that, I can no longer access the extensions menu in Photoshop, (It's greyed out.)?

Nov 26, 2012I think there should be a 'edit cfx' menu when we right -click the clip in timeline. This is very handy to get fast access to the cfx. Yes i can click the small cfx icon/button and RMB - edit cfx , or i can double click the cfx button itself, but this only work when the cfx button is visible. Also there should be a hotkey for this.

I am the only person in my group who has any legitimate autoCAD experience. I am trying to figure out a way to make a block that any user could bring into the drawing, and key in dimensions to make a 3D rack. Like... a dialogue box that says "What is the leg height?" AutoCAD 2010 :: Creating Dynamic Blocks?
Aug 2, 2012I am using Autocad 2011 and created a dynamic block which turned out fine.
After making a copy of this dynamic block and doing some additions to this new block (added several flip parameters), I found that when I run my mouse over this new block it lags. I have attached the drawing which contains both the blocks. The one on top is the problematic block whereas the bottom one is the one I created first and made a copy of.

Oct 7, 2011I have been making blocks Annotative by using block Editor. I would open block Editor and change the block property to annotative. When I do that I notice that the block's attributes become unreadable. The block's attribute appears to become so squished up the I can't read it. I have tried to change the attributes width to make it readable but that does not work.

I have noticed that this is only keeping the dynamic properties for this one drawing! when i try inserting the block into a new drawing it's only a standard block.

Feb 11, 2013We are in the middle of upgrading from LDD2008 to Civil3D2013. This is a 2 part question. Since there are NO point labels similar to Poiint labels in LDD2008. It is making cleaning the elevations up very teadious. With point labels that are just Mtext. I would rotate 1 label and then match properties to rotate the rest and then jiust more the elevations to make them readable.
How do you all deal with cleaning up the elevations? Is there a way to match proprties as far as the rotatiion of the points? or do you Create blocks from Cogo points?
So, I starting playing with the Creating Blocks from Cogo Points. This creates a block with attributes similar to the way Softdesk treated points back in the day. I ran into a couple of issues. 1 being, it rounds the elevation to 3 decimals places.
When it creates blocks from the Cogo Points some of the blocks are giving me 0.000 elevations for points that had actual elevations.

Apr 4, 2013I use the RIBBONS when using ACAD, when creating Dynamic Blocks with Visibility States I am able to add, rename etc the states, but when I need to tell ACAD what to hide and what to show in each state I cant seem to locate the button within the ribbons to do so.
I find myself having to switch back to CLASSIC view to use them and then back to RIBBON.

Aug 15, 2012I've been asked to create some plots of vector arrows showing the results from water current metres, ie each data point has a position (x and y only), direction and a velocity.
I have created a dynamic block to handle the vector data (a simple arrow with a stretch and rotate controls)
What I need now is to somehow read in the values for each block from an excel spreadsheet or txt file?
