In Windows XP, color drivers (Adobe 1998, in particular) appear in
C:WINDOWSsystem32spooldriverscolor.
However, in the same location in Vista 64bit, the Adobe 1998 driver, and a few others, are not present.
Yet, I was able to select Adobe 1998 in CS3's colour preferences.
So, where have the color drivers been installed on this Vista 64bit machine?
which are the best nvidia drivers version for Photoshop cs6 64 bit , windows 7 64bit. Did you notice a better performance for gpu features.
View 2 Replies View RelatedCS4 and my 64bit system. I mostly work with files in the 1-2MB range, not large by any means. I will process 2 or 3 photos, and close them.. no problem. But every 3rd or 4th photo, when I open the file, or try to resize/crop it, I get the dreaded "not responding" message and end up waiting 30 seconds to a minutes for PS to come back alive. Obviously this is extremely disruptive to my workflow. I have gone so far as to wipe my system clean, but still experience the same problem. It is a fairly consistent issue that always happens when I process multiple photos. Anyone else experiencing similar problems? Is there some obvious solution I am missing? My specs are as follows.. View 5 Replies View RelatedI've installed a newly purchased legitimate copy of CS4 on by Vista 64-bit machine and am having trouble with tools not working properly.
I have reset the tools separately several times. Same problem with crop, lasso, brush, clone stamp, eraser and likely others.
When I click to use, it sometimes works properly, sometimes has no effect, and often creates effect in another area of the picture where I haven't clicked.
I understand others have had OpenGL issues -
I have disabled OpenGL and updated both my video card driver and Adobe automatic updates.
Printing with either cs3 or cs4 is quite different to Windows XP. Seleting printsetup takes me to a paper size selection first, not a choice of printers.
Aftere trying to select the popular 4X6 it only shows 3X5 and then with the print command I get to choose the printer.
It appears that to get the printer I have to make this selection in Vista first, anybody noticed this?

Two weeks ago I wrongly faulted my new Dell 2707WFP monitor for its high contrast and saturation after many failed profiling attempts using the Spyder2Pro with the updated Vista software. I'm still at a loss as to why images are dark and overly saturated in Photoshop, Bridge and Lightroom. They were all fine on an older Dell system running XP home and CS2. I've gone so far as to purposely inflict various gamma curve settings in Spyder to bump up the low end luminance but resulting profiles still show images clipped in the low end and overall saturated even as the desktop and the PS interface turn a sickly pale.
I'm new to CS3 and Lightroom and so I'm not sure if the following is normal. When I view a NEW batch of images that were not previously viewed in Bridge, they are normal looking, however when I click on a thumbnail, it then reverts to the same garish contrasty version that I see full size in the above adobe software when opened. The same thing happens in the WINDOWS PHOTO GALLERY viewer but NOT in WINDOWS EXPLORER. In Explorer the thumbs are as they should be...normal, and if I open them in Microsoft OFFICE PICTURE MANAGER or in Quicktime PICTUREVIEWER, they open as normal images.
All this sounds like a profile issue of some kind, but as far as I know, everything appears to be set correctly in both PS and the profiling software. However, Im not sure about the system settings regarding profiles. In the Windows COLOR folder all the profiles are where they should be and I can select which one to load using the Spyder Profile Chooser. And again, I do restart PS when I change a profile. Could this be some kind of Vista bug??
Other notes:
If I do a screen shot and paste it back into PS, it turns DARKER than the original file.
When I do additional calibrations I restart PS to load the latest profile.
All files tagged sRGB and in sRGB workspace. PS shows this correct space and likewise the correct monitor profile in COLOR SETTINGS
ATI CATALYST CONTROL CENTER fails to run on bootup so windows shuts it down. No fix that I can find for this.

Just installed CS6 on my new workstation and Photoshop; it freezes upon opening.Every other program I have installed has worked flawlessly, including the rest of the CS6 Suite and Lightroom 5.Both Windows and the Adobe Suite have all available updates already installed.Computer is a new HP Z420 Xeon Workstation, Windows 7 Pro 64bit, 16GB Ram.
View 15 Replies View RelatedIn Photoshop CS6 (64bit), when using the brush tool (with a brush with pressure sensitivity activated), I quite often get a line drawn at the max width selected, as if there was no pressure sensitivity. Everything goes back to normal after I start drawing another line, and happens again after a few lines. It's quite random. Â

I don't have this problem in any other software (Illustrator CS6 64bit, Painter XII, Sketchbook Pro, Zbrush, ...). I have already checked and I've found some other users on other forums with the same problem.
One example, with a picture of the problem: [URL] Another one, exact same problem: [URL] Some of those users seem to have solved their problem by installing an old driver (6.1.5r3), but they had that problem with Intuos TABLETS in the first place, not a Cintiq 24HD... I have tried that, but unfortunately the driver is not compatible with the Cintiq 24HD.

To test this out: I've been able to reproduce the problem 90% of the times I've tried. if I keep the pen at 1 inch from the display so that it's still recognized by the screen but it's not drawing, then wiggle it a bit, and then I slowly move to the screen and tap it (as if I was starting a line with very low pressure), the problem appears and it makes a large dot, as if there was no pressure sensitivity. As I said the test doesn't work every time, but almost.

I have tried the pressure test in the Wacom utility software and it seems to work fine, it never jump to full even when I try the method I've just described. In the diagnostic page of the Wacom utility software the pressure is always correct, even when in Photoshop there's the brush sensitivity issue.

note: I've already tried to completely re-install my computer + the Adobe software + the lastest wacom driver for my Cintiq 24HD, and the problem is still the same.
Both Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit) and Premiere Pro (64 Bit) Crash on Start up. 32 bit version of Photoshop works fine.

Both are referencing cooltype.dll. I ran Font Doctor on all system and non-system fonts and found no errors. Booted without Extensis Suitcase loading. Nothing works. All 32 bit programs work fine.
Today I updated Vista and the NVidia 3300 driver got upgraded as well. Earlier today, everything was working great with colors within Photoshop. After the update, my colors in Photoshop (and Illustrator) are shifted brown.
My grey scale has varying degrees of brown. Reinstalled NVidia drivers without success. All other colors on desktop and other programs (Flash included) are fine. Also, a bizarre thing is when I prep a file for the web, the colors look good.
Are there drivers to download for a typical touch screen monitor to enable it to have drawing capilities (probably wacom or something similar) for windows 7Â (such as pressure sensativity and be able to rest drawing hand on monitor without reading it)

A virus is not out of the question but before I reformat etc I was wondering if the Beta Wacom drivers has caused any issues on other systems. Looking at the reliability records the graph is pointing downward exactly at and after the date I installed the drivers.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just built this brand new computer and everytime I open up Photoshop CC it first promps me with a message that 3d features require a minimum of 512mb of vRam and it has detected less on my system. I then go into Edit>Preference>Performance and under Graphics Processor Settings it says that it is Unable to detect information and that photoshop has detected an error in my display driver.

I seem to be having an issue with my display driver. Everytime I open Adobe Photoshop, I get an error that photoshop has encountered an error with my display driver, and it does not display images properly (they seem to be very low resolution).

I checked my drivers, and everything is up to date. I even ran Windows Update just to be sure.
On Windows 7, photoshop CS5 no longer loads the twain drivers in Windows>Twain_32 into File>Import. How can I get them there?

All goes well for the first 2 hours or so and then the drivers crash with error code 4101 ( Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.) This then kills the render. ive tried updating my mobo bios asus p9x79 to latest verion from 2104 to 3305. this had no effect. im using a gtx 670 ftw 4gb with 3104.07 drivers and 80.04.4b.00.70 firmware is installed. 3ds max is updated to update 6 This is on a clean install of windows drivers and apps. this is killing me ive got stuff that needs to get done and i just cant do it at the moment.

Â For some reason the PDF drivers are not working, and I have already gone through the add a plotter wizard to no avail. Â One thing to note is I still have AutoCAD LT 2010 on my machine, and all the print drivers work fine for it. Â Perhaps there is some kind of conflict between the two CAD programs on one machine? Â

When I plug it in via USB I can import videos/photos to my computer, etc...so it is recognized. However, when I try to use it in VideoStudio X4 the only option I get is a webcam. Are there any special drivers I need to make this work? I have searched google a bit, but maybe I am missing something. I am using the trial version of the program to try and get things worked out before I actually purchase it. The software looks wonderful for stop animation so I really want to make this work.

I just received 2013 lt and want to know the best solution for setting up a HP Designjet 750c Plus to begin plotting. Apparently there is no support from HP for Windows 7 drivers. I'm no expert but what I've read it seems that I can use the HDI driver. Go slow since this i new to me.

Now installed LR 3.5 will not open. After system restore to day before yesterday, message that "Adobe AIR is damaged". What is AIR? How do I get LR back up & running right?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using LR4 current version on a Lion machine (also current version) - IMAC 27"Â (also current version) with an Epson 9880 printer. Currently trying this with the Lion driver and version 6.1.2 Epson profiles. I've also tried this with the most recent Snow Leopard driver with the same results. The profiles are not showing up in the "other" dialog within LR4. They do show up in printer setup. I also have a 4800 here and that is working fine. I notice that the Color Sync utility is not displaying them. I've tried downloading and reinstalling, restarting, etc. - no change. I don't recall this being a problem with LR3.

I have been using the Snow Leopard profiles because of the problems associated with the shaded color/BW print dialog in the Lion printer dialogs, for what that's worth, and I thought everything was fine but now,
We are planning on upgrading our CAD workstations. At the moment we are having problems (crashing) running Autocad 2014 and Plant 3D in 2014 version. Unfortunately our graphic cards (Quadro 4000) are not listed in the list with certified drivers, so getting any support on this subject is not possible. So currently we are still running AC2013 and it works fine.
For our new workstations we want to be sure all our hardware will be fully compatible (for that reason we only buy 1 first). If I look into the certified drivers list; [URL]....... I can mostly see older cards. When will newer cards/drivers be tested? We would like to re-use our quadro4000 or buy quadro K4000 or K2000. (Actually we were never impressed by the quadro4000, the quadro2000 would probably have been almost just as good at a much lower price.)
how to get line weights defined through Inventor? After printing or output to PDF I can barely read the dimensions. Is this with the drawing setup? or with the printers?
