Downloaded LR 3.6 yesterday. Installed. (To upgrade from LR 3.5). It damaged all USB drivers on my PC (XP Pro 32 bit). Still working with Dell tech support to resolve. Now installed LR 3.5 will not open. After system restore to day before yesterday, message that "Adobe AIR is damaged". What is AIR? How do I get LR back up & running right?
View 2 RepliesI have recently re-installed Photoshop CS3 in my new Windows 7 (64-bit) computer and fell foul of the Bonjour Service problem that trashed my Internet connection by installing an "unknown network". I have remedied this by disablng the Bonjour Service in Windows Services Manager.
As I plan to upgrade to PS CS6 on this computer:
1. Does CS6 use Bonjour?
2. If it does, and I have to disable it for the reasons above, will I be able to register and activate CS6 online, and will I be able to get updates?
I just installed Windows 8, and while it was very confusing I accidentally deleted all of my programs (I got confused with what the Reset Tab was) and when I went to go and install Photoshop Trial, it's telling me I need to update Adobe AIR because It's not available to my system.
I've installed it before, the only change was from Windows 7 to Windows 8, and I've seen other people with Windows 8 use Photoshop CS5?
how I would install the RAW codec for CS3? I looked at the instructions, but I do not have "c:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobePlug-InsCS3File Formats" since my Photoshop is installed on the D Drive. I tried adding the plugin to "D:Program Files (x86)AdobeAdobe Photoshop CS3Plug-InsFile Formats" but that didn't seem to do anything (after closing and reopening Photoshop, it still says that it can't open the file).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use Lightroom 1.4 and want to upgrade to 3.2. After installing the software I can't open the application (message: the application Lightroom has suddenly stopped...). I tried to remove old prefs, old application, other Adobe prefs and finally all Adobe software but Lightroom refuses to start up. I tried to create another user and for the new user the thing is working. I really really hope to find a way to get it running on my old user-account because of a lot of other software, server-connections etc etc. I am working on Mac OS 10.5.8.
View 23 Replies View RelatedI'm using LR4 current version on a Lion machine (also current version) - IMAC 27" (also current version) with an Epson 9880 printer. Currently trying this with the Lion driver and version 6.1.2 Epson profiles. I've also tried this with the most recent Snow Leopard driver with the same results. The profiles are not showing up in the "other" dialog within LR4. They do show up in printer setup. I also have a 4800 here and that is working fine. I notice that the Color Sync utility is not displaying them. I've tried downloading and reinstalling, restarting, etc. - no change. I don't recall this being a problem with LR3.
I have been using the Snow Leopard profiles because of the problems associated with the shaded color/BW print dialog in the Lion printer dialogs, for what that's worth, and I thought everything was fine but now,
Just installed 12.1 and found all of my settings have been reset and my workspaces have gone.Is this by design or is it a bug/problem?I'm going to try importing some projects to get my valuable workspaces back that I've spent so long refining.

But when I click on it to open it, I am asked by user account control if I want to allow this program to make changes to my computer. When I click yes, nothing happens. So I can't open Photoshop, no matter what I try.

View 23 Replies View RelatedI'm on Windows 7, and need to be able to open .eps files with Illustrator CS3. Since installing CS6 yesterday I'm no longer able to associate EPS files with Illustrator CS3. When I right click an eps and go to "open with", only Illustrator CS6 is listed. When I "choose default program", only Illustrator CS6 is listed. If I "browse" and manually select the Illustrator CS3 executable, it still defaults to CS6. Using the same process with .ai files works fine, there is no issue. However these .eps files are not behaving like .ai files.
Also, attempting to set the default program through the "set associations" control panel doesn't work, after selecting the Illustator CS3 executable it still shows up as CS6.
Every since I installed CS6, whenever I try to open files in Illustrator (all files, not just the new downsaved from CS6 files), the program goes into "Not Responding" and I can't do anything until I crash out. It also will not let me create new files.
I've tried deleting my Adobe Illustrator CS4 Settings folder as I saw suggested in another discussion, but it did not work.
Since my CS6 trial is ending soon and I'm not sure about upgrading yet, I really need my CS4 to be functional.
I'm running WIndows Vista 64 bit. Never had any problems with Illustrator before this.
My Windows 7 has updates. When it does this, Photoshop will not run. I have reverted the PC back before the update and Photoshop runs fine. The only thing is that the PC will update itself unless I turn the automatic updates off. Photoshop CS2, running on Windows' 7 Home Deluxe edition.

Other times the error will say Could not complete your request because of a program error.
Other time there is no message.

I have installed Lightroom 5 via Adobe Cloud; I also have Lightroom 4 installed. When I plug my camera into my mac, Lightroom 4 continues to open, even if I have Lightroom 5 already open. I have already deselected any options in prefs in v4 that might be making this happen. Short of uninstalling v4, is there any way to stop v4 from opening?

I had an old demo version of Photoshop CS6 on my computer and was told to delete it, which I did. Unfortunately, it also damaged Photoshop 6 CC and I had to unistall it also. Now CC is saying it is up to date and won't reinstall it. I really need to start working on something I promised I would have ready by Monday and can't do it because I don't have Photoshop again.

I have pics to import from cards, one card loaded no problem, the next card brought up the images and when I go to import them I recieve a message saying "Some Import Operations Were not Performed." giving me the following 2 errors (1) and (563)last night it was (1) and (504) and (505). Seems like it is reading the images as it pulls them up, just not moving them. I have reviewed everything from Permissions to loading the cards with no problem in LR4.

When I click Photo>Edit In, the option for Photoshop and all of the other related Photoshop options, such as Merge to Panorama, etc., are not active, so clicking on them does nothing. This occurs when Photoshop is open. It's as if Photoshop is not installed. Is there something I need to do to ensure that Lightroom 5 recognizes that Photoshop is installed?
I'm not sure whether the problem is that Lightroom does not recognize that Photoshop is installed or that there is some problem that prevents access to Photoshop from Lightroom.
I am using Windows 7. In Preferences for external editing, I have the following settings: File Format = TIFF; Color Space = ProPhotoRGB; Bit Depth = 16 bits; Resolution = 240; Compression = None.
I have installed LR 4.2 RC but when I check Lens Profiles these lenses are not listed although ACR 7.2 is supposed to be supporting them. Where I can get the profiles for these lenses and what is the proper procedure to install them?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed an ICM profile from Red River paper in attempt to improve printing from LR by allowing LR to manage colors. Probably should not have done this because I am using Canon s9000 printer and Canon paper but I could not find Canon profiles anywhere on internet (for this printer). In any case, end result is horrific but I can't "reset" or uninstall.
Do I need to reinstall LR and photoshop to fix this? More likely this is now somewhere in Windows but I have already tried to delete everywhere I could find.
Anytime I insert a CD/Dvd or Flash card or SD card, LR launches itself. It takes a lot of key strokes to turn it back off. I have PS, LR, Elements and other programs, that I might want to use. I want to turn off LR and have it only open when I want to use it.
