I using a trial version of CS 6 on windows 8 pro. I keep getting flashing in the work space / background when I zoom or move an image around (only some images not all). When I zoom or move an image around the background changes from transparent to various shades of gray to black. I was getting it with selections but after making some changes in Catalyst I fixed it. I have the latest driver for my card. I won't purchase it until this issue is resolved. I see many others have the same issue. It's been a long time since CS6 came out and I'm concerned this won't be fixed. I can just continue to use an older version if need be. I don't want to have to buy another video card just to use PS CS6 properly. If I turn off "Use Graphics Card" it seems fine. This card works fine with other versions so what had changed. At $700 I expect to be able to use it with my video card (AMD Radeon HD 6450) which is not too old.
Im working on a student version of Architectural CAD 2012 i drew a floor plan and used AEC Dimensions on my model space but when i switch over to work space they don't show up. I tried matching properties and switching between paper and model but so far no luck.
I'm an illustrator and only really just started using Photoshop for anything past basic colouring because I usually prefer vector lines and only just brought a tablet.
When I start a new picture in photoshop it's always the same set up for it, 1500x1000 and 150 dpi, It's a good middle ground for me and the workspace is always easily expandable. That's all fine.
When I open an Image in Photoshop CC the image does not appear in my work space. The tab identifies that the image is opened, layers shows the image is open, however it is not on the screen. All tools, brushes etc work, but I can't see what they are doing. I can only see the image if i click the tab and move it around. Once my mouse lets go of the image window it dissapears again. After moving it around and such it gets buggy and the image crashes not Photoshop. i have attached two screen shots of my problem. the second with the image, i have my mouse clicked, held down holding onto the window to acheive this.
Accustomed to Element 5. New to 9. How do i change workspace color? I don't like the grey and black backgrounds or headers. All is too dark and it's distracting.
How can I increase my work space (the photoshop file open) ? I've tried Image > Image Size but when height or width is changed, the whole picture is enlarged to fit into the new size.
I would like to keep the image and simply add 200px to the bottom of the file, is this possible?
I've got an image of a guy in mid-air, halfway through a lay up (actually, the model was standing on a table, but that's neither here nor there!)
I separated him from the background, so the only thing I have is the model and the net on a black background, as if the image was a close-up photo. What I'd really like to do is add camera flashes to the background, so it looks like there's a huge crowd snapping pictures of the layup.
I've attached a small version of the picture so you'll have a better idea what I'm talking about.
I have trouble to find the maximum work space for A4 paper size when I want 1:1 measurements on A4 paper. The stuff I draw must keep the 1:1 measurements
Go to Tools/Options/Workspce/Customization/Commands/Text and drag the Line (Line Spacing) icon on to a toolbar. The Change Document Defaults dialog opens with various options available. If I click on any of the check boxes or the Ok, Cancel, or Help buttons, nothing happens. The only button that works is the Close button (top-right button with the X in it).
PSPro X XP Home. The clone brush stopped working, I restored PSPro to its default state. Now I only have about half of a working screen with loads of folders showing below still not being able to use the clone brush.
Just upgraded to PSP4. In the older versions I could open multiple images into the workspace. Each one had a border with a banner at the top identifying each picture. Each one would come forward by clicking on it. I could move them around and position them so I could even clone from one to another. Can I not do that in PSP4,
I was using Photoshop CC / I was editing an image, but when use the text tool my image starts flashing black randomly once I move the mouse and stays black when I stop moving.
I purchased an update for PSCS6 disc. Whenever I use a slider in editing (such as adjusting hue, contrast, etc.) the background on my screen flashes back and forth between black and grey/checkerboard! It does this as I slide the slider in all adjustments! It is impossible to edit with this flashing! I have set the background to black, but it will not stay there. I have downloaded all the current drivers for my computer. Nothing works!
My company bought the photoshop CC for my work and my notebook, where the photoshop was installed, have Windows 8. The problem is: when I go to move some element in the document (Ctrl+T), make a selection or move the document (Space+Click) the screen flashes black, and sometimes it turns black and don't go back until I move the document.
when I'm going to move a layer to some part of the document the screen keeps flashing black until I finish it.The difference is, in the Windows 7 it doesn't happen at all, the photoshop runs beautifully. It just happens in Windows 8.
Notebook specs: Windows 8 Intel I5 3230M 6gb RAM 500GB HD
I notice the tranparent background flashing intermittently when I zoom or use any of the functions like layers, levels etc. I am using a new Win 8 system and have updated both photoshop CS6 and my video card drivers.
I have found that since installing the service pack for 2014, xclips in paper space have become blank, or, on occasion, 1 will show, but others won't. The invert still works, strangely enough.
Just up graded to Autocad 2012 (student version), how to turn the work space from the new ribbon format to the classic workspace, or if it is possible to do so, as know how on the full version but cant see it on student...
suddenly Photoshop CC seems to be broken. When using selection- or drawingtools, the documentwindow where I draw starts flashing black frames while drawing and sometimes the frame even stays black.
It's really odd, 'cause this Photoshop version used to work fine.Updating the version to the latest version (14.1.2 x64) didn't fix the problem. I use Windows8.
I don't believe any of the videodrivers were updated recently, but I will check that too.
I have been trying to dock three palettes vertically on the right side of my work space but have had no luck at all. I have preferences checked to allow docking and have used the drop down on each palette to mark "docking" as opposed to floating. However, the palettes always stack horizontally (left to right) and very large as opposed to vertically and sized as I want them. I can float each palette and drag each to the right of the screen as shown but they will not dock like this. I have attached a capture file of what I want to happen and another with what happens.
I'm new to CS6 and WIN8. When I Open an image from ACR in 16-bit TIFF and select a tool in Image>Adjustment and begin processing, the background changes from gray to a flashing white checkerboard pattern and the images disappears. What have I missed in the setup?
Photoshop cs6 extended (64bit) flashes black when clicking on canvas or on a layer. I can't get anything done, I have already uninstalled and reinstalled... all other Creative Cloud apps work fine. I'm using windows 8.
