Oct 14, 2013I was using Photoshop CC / I was editing an image, but when use the text tool my image starts flashing black randomly once I move the mouse and stays black when I stop moving.

3ds Max :: Image Turns White Or Flashes?
Jun 6, 2012I have someone using 3DS Max Design. He has a drawing open. I don't know if these problems are related. Sometimes when rotating around the model in viewport, the model will turn white and start expanding slowly. Other times the model will start flashing and won't stop. In either case, he has to exit the program and open the file again. It is an iMac 27" i7, Radeon HD 5750, running Win 7 Pro on Parallels. I have installed all the latest patches for Mac OS, Win 7 and 3DS Max Design.

Feb 5, 2008i have photoshop cs2, and everything was fine until last night when mysteriously the sizing options for my text tool got seriously knocked out of whack. any normal-sized font pt just doesn't show up at all (it's so small you can't see anything). 1296 pt (the largest you can go) shows up, but still smaller than any normal 8-72 pt.

Mar 3, 2013I using a trial version of CS 6 on windows 8 pro. I keep getting flashing in the work space / background when I zoom or move an image around (only some images not all). When I zoom or move an image around the background changes from transparent to various shades of gray to black. I was getting it with selections but after making some changes in Catalyst I fixed it. I have the latest driver for my card. I won't purchase it until this issue is resolved. I see many others have the same issue. It's been a long time since CS6 came out and I'm concerned this won't be fixed. I can just continue to use an older version if need be. I don't want to have to buy another video card just to use PS CS6 properly. If I turn off "Use Graphics Card" it seems fine.This card works fine with other versions so what had changed. At $700 I expect to be able to use it with my video card (AMD Radeon HD 6450) which is not too old.

Photoshop :: Camera Flashes In The Background?
Oct 7, 2004I've got an image of a guy in mid-air, halfway through a lay up (actually, the model was standing on a table, but that's neither here nor there!)
I separated him from the background, so the only thing I have is the model and the net on a black background, as if the image was a close-up photo. What I'd really like to do is add camera flashes to the background, so it looks like there's a huge crowd snapping pictures of the layup.
I've attached a small version of the picture so you'll have a better idea what I'm talking about.

Feb 12, 2013I purchased an update for PSCS6 disc. Whenever I use a slider in editing (such as adjusting hue, contrast, etc.) the background on my screen flashes back and forth between black and grey/checkerboard! It does this as I slide the slider in all adjustments! It is impossible to edit with this flashing! I have set the background to black, but it will not stay there. I have downloaded all the current drivers for my computer. Nothing works!

Nov 14, 2013My company bought the photoshop CC for my work and my notebook, where the photoshop was installed, have Windows 8. The problem is: when I go to move some element in the document (Ctrl+T), make a selection or move the document (Space+Click) the screen flashes black, and sometimes it turns black and don't go back until I move the document.
when I'm going to move a layer to some part of the document the screen keeps flashing black until I finish it.The difference is, in the Windows 7 it doesn't happen at all, the photoshop runs beautifully. It just happens in Windows 8.

Oct 17, 2013suddenly Photoshop CC seems to be broken. When using selection- or drawingtools, the documentwindow where I draw starts flashing black frames while drawing and sometimes the frame even stays black.
It's really odd, 'cause this Photoshop version used to work fine.Updating the version to the latest version (14.1.2 x64) didn't fix the problem. I use Windows8.
I don't believe any of the videodrivers were updated recently, but I will check that too.

Jun 5, 2013I have a drawing that when I am in a layout and run QSAVE (or if autosave fires), the screen "flashes". More specifically the layout disappears for a second and during this time, the entire screen is black (the animated GIF below plays a bit fast)
This only happens in one particular drawing, and any drawing this one is xrefed into. Before I recreate this drawing from scratch?
EDIT: If I turn off REGENAUTO, the flash does not happen. Still, something is weird about this drawing.

Apr 9, 2009I started learning Photoshop CS4 about a month ago. One of the first things I learned was to add text. Simple, fun. I am now trying to learn about layer masks. One of the exercises in one of my books is to open an image and then add text to it. (The idea is to then add a mask and 'hide' portions of the text behind portions of the image.) A really strange thing is happening when I try to add text. I highlight the image in the layers column. (Prior to adding any mask layers.) I then click the text tool. But when I click on the image (in the area where I want the text), the text tool 'becomes' a move tool. A text layer pops up and the words I'm trying to type on the image come out in the title area for the layer (in the layers column). I've tried everything I can think of to 'get' the text on the image but can't solve it.

Oct 24, 2013i have several Edge Animations embedded in a Webview which is running in an ipad app.
the animations are triggered by a button to start (although the same error occurs using autostart...), when they start they show a white or a black "Flash" (depends on the given background).
I´ve tried setting the background to transparent, but that doesn´t solve the problem.
The animations themselves are nothing fancy, no .svg´s for example. Just moving pngs, mostly.
Everything else runs very smooth on the ipad, except that start-flash.
(you can image how hard it is to do a websearch containing "Edge Animation" and "Flash" ).
UPDATE: I forgot to mention that the Animations DONT show that behavior when tested in Safari on the Desktop-Computer.

Nov 2, 2012i switched gimp 2.6 to 2.8 and new text tool behaves strangely, as i remember in gimp 2.6 when i try to change text content with selecting old text and pasting new text i could use same text size and same font with my old text without doing anything but now in the gim 2.8 whenever i try to change content of a text layer i need to choose again font and text size from toolbox options, but why do i have to do this, i have a text placed on my image with a certain font and certain font size and i just want to alter my text conten not the size of text or font , it changes automatically to back text size and font whatever i used last time in another work.
summary: i want to change my text content without setting my font and font size properties, i want to use my text layers old properties
CorelDRAW X6 :: Export Function - Drop Down Menu Flashes And Closes
Jan 28, 2013On choosing an export option from the 'Save as type' box the drop down menu flashes and closes - usually 2 or 3 times - before settling down and I can make a choice. Everything afterwards proceeds as normal.

Oct 22, 2012Using the horizontal text tool I can make a text box, but no text-blinker shows up in the box and when I type no text will appear. Although, in the Layers pannel on the right side it does name the layer whatever I have typed so why won't it show on the picture? Even if you make all other layers invisible the text layer still does not show up on a blank background.

Jun 9, 2007photoshop is not being able to deselect text when I am using the text-tool so I can edit more text. Here is what I mean - say you have two text layers that have been filled out. Now I want to change both of them to something else. I select the first text layer and change it's text. Now I want to move on to the next layer, I click some random tool and then click the text tool again. Is there a key command that I can hit that will make the text tool active so I can select the text on the other layer?
Also I'm using CS3.

Jun 10, 2011I have to replace text in a banner image with different text. Maybe if I upload the banner, it would be more useful...
I have to replace "Customer Satisfaction" with some other text. The text is embedded in the image; so, it's not that easy, at least for me, to replace it without making it look amateurish. Of course, I duplicated the background and worked on that layer.
First method I tried was using the clone stamp, zooming in to 1600% to painstakingly erase it. But then when I zoom out, the background where the text was placed over does not match its surroundings and looks like someone shaded it. If you zoom in real close, before making any changes to it, you'll see that the "green" (what the RGB is) touching the text is different than the "green" in areas not touching text.
Next, I thought of using the magic wand to select the text for me and that looked liked it worked. But the problem is once I select it, how to delete it or blend it in with the background. That is, if I select the "C" in "Customer Satisfaction" with the magic wand, for instance, pressing delete does nothing. Then I found I can fill the area, after I select it with the magic wand; however, what the RGB combination is of the background. Is there a way I can find out what the RGB value is of the background, then apply that to my fill color and effectively delete the "Customer Satisfaction" text?
Once I'm able to get rid of the text, I can use the text editor plugin tool I downloaded to replace the text.
That's my logic, anyway. How I can replace text in an image, preferably as neatly as possible.
GIMP :: Text Tool Jumping To Other Tools While Type In Text
Oct 26, 2013First it stops pasting anything except the first thing copied when Gimp opens, and now this. When I try to search for a font or type in text in the text tool in Gimp 2.8, it just jumps to random other tools instead of typing.

Every time I try to enter text, the edges of the text is surrounded/selected with lines going around it....how do I stop that and have it stop turning my image red (Its supose to be brown, until I click it then it turns red), it isnt even using the correct colors that I set it at.
