Feb 12, 2013Intermittent problem, while working in AE my monitors flash to black and the app locks up briefly. NVIDEA quadro FX 3700 card. CS 5.5. 16G RAM. Windows 7 64 bit.

Feb 12, 2013I purchased an update for PSCS6 disc. Whenever I use a slider in editing (such as adjusting hue, contrast, etc.) the background on my screen flashes back and forth between black and grey/checkerboard! It does this as I slide the slider in all adjustments! It is impossible to edit with this flashing! I have set the background to black, but it will not stay there. I have downloaded all the current drivers for my computer. Nothing works!

Nov 14, 2013My company bought the photoshop CC for my work and my notebook, where the photoshop was installed, have Windows 8. The problem is: when I go to move some element in the document (Ctrl+T), make a selection or move the document (Space+Click) the screen flashes black, and sometimes it turns black and don't go back until I move the document.
when I'm going to move a layer to some part of the document the screen keeps flashing black until I finish it.The difference is, in the Windows 7 it doesn't happen at all, the photoshop runs beautifully. It just happens in Windows 8.

Film Effects, Video Essentials V and Stabiliser all appear correctly in the FX Filter drop down box and when one of these is clicked on, the correct New Blue effects display.However, with Video Essentials 111 and Colorfast, whilst they display in the FX Filter drop down box, when clicked on, nothing happens, the effects do not display, they are there when selecting "ALL" so they are installed correctly, Colorfast is not really an issue because it is just one item, but with Video Essentials 111, it is necessary to search through the complete FX list to find the one I want Not sure if this is a Corel issue or a New Blue issue. Using Video Studio X5 Ultimate.

Aug 29, 2013all of a sudden, the display in PSE11 is so big on my Mac that I can't see the right-hand screen components, including the layers or effects. I looked all through the preferences and can't figure out how to re-size the display back to the default. I can't even minimize the display enough to grab the corner and pull the window in a little. Is there any way to re-set the display to the default so I can see the layers and effects, without reinstalling the program?

Comp plays fine in RAM preview, and I've tried all types of codecs and disabling RAM intensive effects, though I'm working on a quad-core i7 macbook pro with 8 gigs of RAM, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Jul 9, 2013I have been faced with an almost identical problem listed here URL....The only thing that changes it from complete blackness is the "Ambience" value. I've done all software and hardware updates, reinstalled the graphics card driver, and restarted a multitude of times. I am using:
Dell Optiplex 390
Intel(R) HD Graphics 2000
Windows 7 64 bit
Photoshop CC
No Color Management
No plug-ins, or anything other than default PS settings
I used Lighting Effects on Photoshop CS3 and CS6 for almost two years on this machine with no problem. This was the first time I had tried to use it since I upgraded to CC. I uninstalled all other versions of PS when I upgraded, so I have not tried to replicate the problem in older versions.

Sep 4, 2013I do a lot of timelpase photography and use Adobe software in my post workflow. I would like to master the process of using black images to reduce the digital noise of astral timelapses taken at 3200iso. I work in a RAW workflow then output to DPX image sequesnce.
I started on a timelapse forum with a similar query. I am just wondering if there is a way to do this with Ae in the RAW workflow or something similar. Instead of using other software. Maybe a Ps batch process? URL...

Jan 24, 2014I'm on a MAC PRO with the OS 10.6.8 and 8Go Ram, the problem is when i turn on my preview video on the Blackmagic the video monitor is not in real time and the after effect is so slow. When i put it off (computer monitor only) it's ok but i havn't my video monitor of course....and i need it. Is there some tricks for having my black magic (1080 i 50) ON and a RAM Preview in real time ? My drivers Black magic is the 9.5.3 it's the highest driver for MAC OS 10.6.8 + ADOBE CS6+ FCP7. ( i tried update adobe, change qt library, change aspect ratio, pixel, preview ram settings, change drivers black magic and other but nothing work )

Sep 14, 2012I am having trouble with my tif files coming in with a white background (ala pdf) vs the black with white "lines" I prefer. I think it is because I converted pdfs to tifs, then edited them in photoshop to remove linework, then saved. Perhaps a setting in the saved options is wrong?
Or a color option in photoshop? I thought I had it all set but only the 1st one worked as desired...can't figure out what changed. We insert the plan sheets as a layer that is grayed out with our linework dark so using the white background won't really work.

Mar 24, 2012I've recently installed Photoshop CS5 extended on my new comp It was working fine, but when following a tutorial to make rust or metal it starts having issues.
As you can see below the noise in the left hand picture worksfine, but in the right when applying motion blue I get a fuzzy line down the middle, and occasional a sort of beveled effect around the image.If I drop the motion blur to a low count it's ok, it's when I start upping the amount.
When I first loaded up photoshop it did say it had an issue with my monitor settup which I have recently sorted but the problem still remains.
My computer specs are below.

Sep 13, 2013I use iMac i7, 10.8.4, 16gb ram and CSCC 14.1.1.
When I invoke the lighting effects filter, EVEN WITH 8bit image, I am unable to use. The elipses and spots that allow the lights to be moved cannot be seen in spite of my best efforts. Searched web to no effect.

VideoStudio :: Chroma Key With Effects Not Working?
Jul 4, 2012The chromakey function works passably well when I'm using it without any effects (I still have issues with transparency) but seems to work not at all when I apply an effect. I've tried applying sketch, rotosketch, colored ink, emboss, etc to the overlay after I've chroma keyed out the green and it basically eliminates the green screen effect.
There are SOOO many issues with this program that are really beginning to make it unusable for me.
-- Transitions applied to overlays (even a simple cross fade) usually affect all clips playing at that time (not just the specified overlay effect) which makes them unusable for overlays.
-- Even with smart proxy turned on, the preview video gets garbled and choppy after a few playings.
It's just a shame because the interface really is more intuitive than any other program I've used (after effects, Premiere, Vegas).

Apr 25, 2013I made an automated pie chart.
With slider you can set the pie chart slices size.
(It's based on a circular wipe.)
The 2D pie chart should be 3D.
The new CS6 3D engine does not enable wiping for 3D objects.
So I reverted to the "Shatter method" to extrude the pie chart.EVERYTHING worked...
Until I gave the sliders some keyframes.The shatter effect does not animate it's data when the slice sliders get keyframes.

Mar 11, 2014I use the shift+/ shortcut heavily to reset my view centrally and fit it into the screen. Recently though I've noticed it intermittently stops working. I'm running After Effects 12.2.1.5 on Mac OSX mavericks on a MBP Retina 2013.
