why my layout display in color. I go in advanced in plot setting, taking monochrome.ctb or the greyscale.ctb, checking the "display plot style" box, but nothing black and white in my layout except the hatches.
View 5 RepliesFor some reason some of my files are displaying as black and white in Layout view. The files display as they should in color in model space. These files contain color layers but the color can only be viewed in Paper space when I select an object and am moving it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with my tif files coming in with a white background (ala pdf) vs the black with white "lines" I prefer. I think it is because I converted pdfs to tifs, then edited them in photoshop to remove linework, then saved. Perhaps a setting in the saved options is wrong?
Or a color option in photoshop? I thought I had it all set but only the 1st one worked as desired...can't figure out what changed. We insert the plan sheets as a layer that is grayed out with our linework dark so using the white background won't really work.
After an AutoCAD/Windows crash, I reboot. The system begins to load Windows (Win 7 splash), then the screen goes blank and a white Windows cursor appears -- nothing more; no desktop or taskbar.
Control-Alt-Del does nothing, however, the HDD light continues to flash as if it is continuing to boot. The same thing happens when I boot in Safe Mode (except cursor is larger due to different resolution).
I can boot from bootable CD and everything works fine. HDD scan and memtest both pass. I formatted the drive and reinstalled Windows and AutoCAD and everything works fine. However, two days later, the same exact problem occurred on the second of five workstations.

Win 7 Professional 64bit
MS Office Home and Business (with Outlook configured for IMAP)
i7 processor, 6GB ECC RAM, Nvidia Quadro 600 w/1GB RAM.
AutoCAD 2013 was originally loaded from a trial version, then purchased license key installed.We are using Xref on a file server and opening drawing on a file server across a ethernet Gbit lan.
Is there any way to change the text color in the "Select File" form from the default of white to black?

Example:
white block with black lines so you can see it is 3d.background should also be white.
How do i set autocad (2012/2013) to do this. I would like the model space to be the same and not just for printing.
I wanted to make a decal to place on the acrylic window of my PC. I found the perfect picture, which is in black and white. For it to look right though, I need to switch the black to white, and vice versa. Is there a way with Photoshop to automatically switch these, instead of having to manually switch them.

So that when I place the final psd on top of a block of solid colour in Indesign the gradient shows the background colour through where the black fades off.

I must have done something because the clouds that are rendered are black & white not Blue and white. My photo is of course a color image. How I can correct this or what I need to do to get back to the default setting that will render blue & white instead of black and white?

I have other layouts in the same drawing that display them fine, but I need to use this specific layout for what I'm doing. This must be a setting of some sort but I can't seem to figure it out.

Basically a CAD program I use only exports PNG files. The CAD program can export in black and white and in color. The color PNG files open fine in CorelDraw. The black and white PNG files just show up as a black filled box.

I am using a pdf underlay to trace over and whenever the crosshair or pickbox enters a white area it does not shift color to black to remain visible. This leaves me picking randomly trying to guess where the crosshair or pickbox is. If I change the 3dconfig to disable hardware acceleration, the color shifts, but the pdf is whited out. Not to mention the fact that by disabling hardware acceleration, I'm wasting the expensive video card on the machine. Is there a workaround? updated driver? service pack?

I'm trying to display the papersize of a layout in a block. So far I've looked into diesel and field expressions.
With field expressions I can get the name of the papersize to display that's too long(OVERSIZE: ISO A1), I need only the last two letters.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was doing a machina at autocad 12 and when i was in rendering options I must have do something wrong, and now, when I try to render anything, the render goes on black and white. This machine is black, silver and transparent (plastic, metal and glass) and the metal goes on grey, the plastic (wich is black) goes on white and the glass disappears.
I tried to open another windows, make boxes with black plastic and another with glass, and the black turns on grey or white..
i've set up two ctb files one color and the other black and white . is it possible to assign drawings on the same sheet , two different ctb files so that one prints in color and the other black and white.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to set up a Plot Style for the office and have gone through the standard procedures to do this, but can not get it to print in black/white. I am trying to set up a universal plot style that everyone uses.
I have attached my screen showing my plot style manager settings.
I am trying to plot this floor plan, which has different layers, and each layer has diferent colour. When I select, dwg to pdf, A4@1:00 ISO full bleed with monocrome applied, and do a prewiew of this plot, all of the layers are plotting black like they should exept one, which is showed in the image. The layer is no diferent from the others. I created a new layer named simillar to the one with the issue, moved things across to the new layer, changed new layer colour, and it fixed the issue.
Also, when ready to plot, the autocad comes up with a message saying that I dont have a pdf reader, but I do. I have the adobe reader installed. Usually, when I plot the drawing as pdf it nicely, automaticaly brings up adobe reader with the drawing, and I can quicly review it. Now I just keep getting this message.
Is there a way to "link" the adobe reader, so that it stops jumping out this message, and instead, opens it outomaticly, like normally it does.

Before long I was up to 100 pages, looking fantastic. But then the thought come to me, I have set may page colour to BLACK and all my drawing and text are WHITE as I said looks fantastic until you go to print a page. How much black Ink would you use printing 100 pages black.
SO MY QUESTION IS CAN COREL REVERSE THE LINE ART TO BLACK AND THE PAGE TO WHITE SO I CAN HAVE A PRINTABLE VERSION ?
I have tried publishing to PDF then in acrobat replacing document colours and on screen that works fine but when you print it still prints

I recently upgraded my computer, and use the same AutoCADLT 2012 software I used on the old system. However, now when I print drawings or make pdfs, they are in color instead of black and white. And the pdfs in color now copy in such a way that some of the layers appear faded, are very light, and are difficult to read. How do I get the prints and pdfs back to black and white, with no color?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using autocad for 20 years plus. I've never really had to publish anything to DWF. We have a client that wants DWF's instead of PDF's. I have a 3D model with views in paperspace within viewports. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to plot these drawings to DWF in Black and White. I have tried everything. I am using monochrome.ctb plot style. The border and all border elements are plotting B/W but everything in the viewport is plotting whatever color it is in the VP. This is driving me nuts. Never liked this DWF format. If I plot to a PDF it all comes in B/W.

I'm using Autocad 2002LT and I have two different drawings to plot. I'm on Windows XP operating system with a TechJet 5536 Plotter (don't laugh it's the only one available.) One drawing is my own work and one is from a supplier they have emailed to me.
When producing a plot of my own drawing, I can easily plot monochrome, the plot style table (pen assignment) is set to monochrome.ctb.
When producing a plot of the suppliers drawing, it will only plot colour even though the plot style table (pen assignment) is set to monochrome.stb.
I can edit the monochrome.ctb colours if I wish to but I do not seem to be able to edit the colours of the monochrome.stb plot style.
I just finsihed setting up this new computer. I reloaded AC 2012 LT. I need to reset my settings. I do not rmember how to change that black background to white.
