CorelDRAW X5 :: Black And White PNG Showing Black Box

Basically a CAD program I use only exports PNG files. The CAD program can export in black and white and in color. The color PNG files open fine in CorelDraw. The black and white PNG files just show up as a black filled box.
I have been experiencing a 2" black or white square while zooming that stays on image at that zoom ratio. I use Topaz Adjust and NIK software. If I save file and reopen it's gone!
Here is what my artboard looks like. What I'm trying to do is just get the black shapes as one solid logo without the white showing. For example, if I were to place this in another Illustrator project, it would still have the white rectangles with full transperency. I tried a tut online, but when I place the AI file into another project, the WHOLE image is invisible.
If I were to open this AI file in Photoshop, I could use the Magic Wand to delete the white parts and leave just the black shape. I want to be able to resize the black shape and use it on banners, avatars, etc.
Background notes: I am using this for my gaming website and I would like to be able to use this for my logo. (Crossfire)
I scanned a black and white print in color and am trying to replace all the black with dark green. Been trying for hours in elements 9. This is all so hard. Just to ask this question I have typed it into 3 different screens, set screenname, many other hurdles.
I wanted to make a decal to place on the acrylic window of my PC. I found the perfect picture, which is in black and white. For it to look right though, I need to switch the black to white, and vice versa. Is there a way with Photoshop to automatically switch these, instead of having to manually switch them.
in older versions there was a option to use the very useful symbol.ttf's quickly and accurate with a little roll up menu that showed all characters and one could select and drag drop it into the document. I tried in vain to enable that in X5 with the so called symbol manager. I told Draw where the symbol.ttf's are but in the symbol manager I just see the path to it and nothing to use. I'm talking about the stars, arrows, weather etc. files.
I'm trying to print a document that has colour in it and when it comes out of the printer it prints in black and white. I'm not sure what the issue is or what I am missing.
Started producing a new catalogue some time ago very happy working away on the first 3 – 4 pages
Before long I was up to 100 pages, looking fantastic. But then the thought come to me, I have set may page colour to BLACK and all my drawing and text are WHITE as I said looks fantastic until you go to print a page. How much black Ink would you use printing 100 pages black.
SO MY QUESTION IS CAN COREL REVERSE THE LINE ART TO BLACK AND THE PAGE TO WHITE SO I CAN HAVE A PRINTABLE VERSION ?
I have tried publishing to PDF then in acrobat replacing document colours and on screen that works fine but when you print it still prints
With the black background and white text for some reason.
When I import an eps, or create a new object with a shape tool. The default style is a clear fill and a hairline CYMK black (0,0,0,100) outline. I think I know how to change it to true black (0,0,0,0), but when i import an eps or an illustrator file, it is coming in as CMYK black (0,0,0,100)
I have just purchased this upgrade software having used XARA Xtreme4.0 for many years. How can I change the black background screen with white writing to grey with black writing?
I would like to scan some original pen and ink drawings I do and I'd like to remove the background once they are on the page so I can manipulate the art. I work in Corelx4. Will this same technique work with book pages scanned in?
I am new to the forum and new to CorelDRAW X5. I use CorelDRAW to laser engrave text and logos through an engraving machine. Most basic logos are easy to convert right through CorelDRAW, but today I ran into a serious issue.
I received a logo that was very detailed in color and also had numerous different shadows in it. When automatically switching to black and white, the colors get very warped and the shadows take over the entire logo.
How do you go about switching a logo like this to black and white?
I have an image where i chopped seperate parts of different pictures, desaturated all 4, but on the one, there seems to be more "grays" in the black and white photo... i want the grays to be more black. Messing with the brightness and contrast isnt doing it...
Have an issue when importing pdf files into both X5 and X6. Fonts have been converted to outline and without Ghost script installed overlapping vectors fill in with white! With Ghost script installed center of fonts like e,b,p etc fill in with font color. Convert to eps prior to importing still has the issue? Also had some objects reposition on import but fixed if converted to eps? Processing a lot of client files for output to image so this is a real problem.
The user is having a problem with imported jpgs. When she creates a Corel document, she usually imports a jpg as a background, then places text over it. When she prints, the text created in Corel is in color, but the imported jpg is B&W. The issue just started. She has used Corel 11 for some time.
Object that I make black, do not stay black - Why?
I'll change it to black, do some more work and later I notice that it's not quite black. after checking the properties, I will see that it is in fact back to some default value and I have to again set it to black, 0,0,0
following image shows up fine on WIndows machines, but on Macs it shows up as balck instead of navy, why? I have tried svaing in PDF, JPG, PNG, and PDF nwith Mac color profiles... what is going on? PS, the navy is #0d1125
I have a multilayered psd file. All layers should remain opaque except the black to white gradient layer where I need the white to be transparent. So that when I place the final psd on top of a block of solid colour in Indesign the gradient shows the background colour through where the black fades off.
I'm using PSE8. I was using Filter>Render>Clouds and it was working for me. I must have done something because the clouds that are rendered are black & white not Blue and white. My photo is of course a color image. How I can correct this or what I need to do to get back to the default setting that will render blue & white instead of black and white?
trying to open several photos, but when i open them, the box in the workspace is just black, but under my layers box, i can see a small thumbnail of the actual image.
So I was using Photoshop (CS5) when I was told that our power would have to be momentarily turned off due to work being done in our kitchen. Anyway, I saved my project and closed photoshop and then the power was turned off (I did not properly shut down Windows).
When I got back onto Photoshop I tried opening the project I was working on to find that all of the layers were gone and it only showing a black background canvas. When I click on the project once in the open window, it shows a thumbnail of the image as it should be and how it was saved, but when I open it it only shows a black background.
I do have another copy from not too far back but I have lost a few hours of work which I'd obviously prefer not to redo.
