For some reason some of my files are displaying as black and white in Layout view. The files display as they should in color in model space. These files contain color layers but the color can only be viewed in Paper space when I select an object and am moving it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with my tif files coming in with a white background (ala pdf) vs the black with white "lines" I prefer. I think it is because I converted pdfs to tifs, then edited them in photoshop to remove linework, then saved. Perhaps a setting in the saved options is wrong?
Or a color option in photoshop? I thought I had it all set but only the 1st one worked as desired...can't figure out what changed. We insert the plan sheets as a layer that is grayed out with our linework dark so using the white background won't really work.
all of my raw colors pictures default to black and white when I import them into Photoshop. The same phenomenon occurs in Light Room. I'm sure it's a setting, I even found a way to delete my preferences file without success.

Any new files I add are initially correct in the 'color' I shot them but once I select a single file they are all converted to the same crappy black/white. I uninstalled LR and reinstalled but the values are retained time and time again.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently had my desktop computer crash ( it is a gateway ) and had to wipe it clean and re-install everything. I have Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium. Since re-installing Creative Suite, Ps has begun having issues opening files. Ps will usually open the 'first' file as normal; however, any subsequent files that I ask it to open just open as blank screens that are either black or white. It has also begun freezing on me for no apparent reason. As I mentioned above I have a gateway desktop with a Core Intel i5 processor.

I having a problem with the attached drawing. The dimension I draw up in model space is not appearing in the layout tab. Its appearing as a heavy blue line & is ineligible in the layout tab. How can I fix this?

One of my DNG color files shows up in the Library as Black & White. I look on my backup files and this file shows as color. When I import the backup into LR4 it also shows up as Black & White in the Library?
Using 2008LT/2012LT...I am working on a job that is being done in phases. I want to show one phase as per pen assignments and other phases in a grayscale. Is there a way to do this when plotting or do I have to change the viewport display individually for the grayscale vps?

Have an issue when importing pdf files into both X5 and X6. Fonts have been converted to outline and without Ghost script installed overlapping vectors fill in with white! With Ghost script installed center of fonts like e,b,p etc fill in with font color. Convert to eps prior to importing still has the issue? Also had some objects reposition on import but fixed if converted to eps? Processing a lot of client files for output to image so this is a real problem.

Is there a setting for paper space I should change? The dash is correct, just the letters get small, so changing the ltscale in the original drawing blows up the dash also so that won't work.

I would like to draw parts in 3d view which look very basic, i.e. out of a book.
Example:
white block with black lines so you can see it is 3d.background should also be white.
How do i set autocad (2012/2013) to do this. I would like the model space to be the same and not just for printing.
I wanted to make a decal to place on the acrylic window of my PC. I found the perfect picture, which is in black and white. For it to look right though, I need to switch the black to white, and vice versa. Is there a way with Photoshop to automatically switch these, instead of having to manually switch them.

i have a template, created a viewport and fit the model view in the layout space. However, when i scale the template... the viewport model doesn't follows the layout scale. Is there any ways to fit it so that when i scale the template i don't have to set the view again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 2013 Civil 3D file, in which I've generated a set of multiple profile views, using a proposed centerline of a new pipeline as the alignment, and the existing grade surface. The profile views are just fine. However, there is also an existing underground electric service running roughly parallel to this proposed pipeline.
All I have to work with is a 3D polyline which shows the location and elevation of that electrical service line. Here's my issue: Right now the profile view(s) display on only the existing grade along the pipeline alignment, and that's fine. I would also like these profile views to display the location of the above described electrical line, but don't know how to get the profile view(s) to "see" it.
We have standard port details in JPG format that we frequently embed into a drawing via Manage -> Insert Object -> Create From File.
We've discovered that the JPG image does not display in Inventor View (which our co-workers use to view/print drawings).
Using 2012, latest SP. I have a master drawing @ 1:500 with alignment, prof's, corr, etc. I have a second drawing @ 1:200 to be used for section views. I've data referenced the alignment, prof's, srf's, etc. I've created the section views in the section view dwg and xref'd the master dwg.
My problem is that the corridor model will not display in section views anywhere along a spiral in the 1:200 dwg. It displays fine everywhere else along the alignment. Just not spirals.
I have section views in the master drawing that will display the corridor just fine in section view at these same stations along the spirals.
I've drawn a profile and would like to show the elevations of each surface selected in different bands. I've set up the bands easily enough though when they display on the section I've got two levels either side of the chainage line one with 0.01 precision and one with 0.001 precision - I only want to display one. I've tried fiddling with the Profile View Properties but don't seem to be getting very far..
View 3 Replies View RelatedCIvil 3D 2013 / My drawing opens in layout view and all model objects are appropriately coloured by layer. If I hit plot at this point, my colour dependent .ctb file works fine. However, once I swtich to model view, all my linework turns white and if I switch back to Layout view it remains white and plots each line with the weight assigned to the colour white.

Basically a CAD program I use only exports PNG files. The CAD program can export in black and white and in color. The color PNG files open fine in CorelDraw. The black and white PNG files just show up as a black filled box.

I'm pretty new to using multi view blocks and rendering etc etc... basically all I want to do is show my surface (lake and landscaping) as grass, show a clear blue hatch to represent the water line and add some multi view blocks.. people and trees...
Using the multiview blocks toolpalette I have dragged and dropped some blocks into model space and ensured they are at the correct elevation to sit on the surface...
I have noticed that only one of the multi view blocks within the landscape tab is showing as I would expect - the rest all look like an extruded cross... I don't know how to fix this or whether this is correct.
