Go to Tools/Options/Workspce/Customization/Commands/Text and drag the Line (Line Spacing) icon on to a toolbar. The Change Document Defaults dialog opens with various options available. If I click on any of the check boxes or the Ok, Cancel, or Help buttons, nothing happens. The only button that works is the Close button (top-right button with the X in it).
View 3 RepliesI am trying to switch from X3 to X5, I moved my macros to the X5 GMS folder but the macros don't show up under "Macros" in the customization dialog. I can do Menu>Tools>Macros>Run Macro... and run a macro like that but I would like t be able to assign shortcut keys to the macros and create tool bars, but so far no luck with that.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to change/add some shortcuts in the customization dialogue but are unable to remove/find/overwrite the conflicts. checking the navigate to conflicts makes no difference, see the attached images. I don't understand how "conflicts with multiple shortcuts." can be correct? How can there be several identical shortcuts in the main table? This is a new installation and everything is updated.

I was specifically looking for what the check-box "Workspace>>Display>>Use Offscreen Image" does. I can't see anything different by checking or un-checking...
Any comprehensive list...don't know why Corel didn't feel it should describe these options in a "? > click popup" as many of the Microsoft option pages have!
For the purpose of backup, where on my drive is the file containing workspace customization settings stored?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a series of images that have been designed - very basic shapes (a straight vertical line with a ball on top in which ascending numbers are placed in each one. So effectively each image is made up of 3 seperate parts and look like numbered lollipops. Each of these images are currently evenly spaced apart and formatted so the text is all properly aligned and sized etc - I would like to be able to copy certain groups of these images and paste them into a new working document which is fine, but I then need to somehow re-space them out to scale once they've been pasted in. So for example i have copied them in and they are 20mm apart to each other (as per my original drawing that i copied from) - is there a way of then altering this spacing so that for example so that they are all 33mm apart but still retail the original formatting properties so they are not stretched etc?

I noticed these two options in the status bar . what are they... how they work. i dragged into my toolbar and showing that memory allocated and swap space.
I want to create some text that has a outline but with a little bit of space in between the text and the outline. What is the best way to do this?
Usually, I will create text and add an outline. Then convert the outline to an object and change the color to whatever the background color of the document is. Then I will add an outline to that object (the one that used to be the text outline) and I end up with essentially two outlines.
It usually isn't that difficult but sometimes the text does not cooperate and when I add an outline it has all kind of gaps and points. So I guess I have two questions. why certain texts have those gaps and points when you try to outline them? Also, is there any easier way to make an outline that is not directly against the text like this.
I have been having problems updating my Corel Draw 11 Graphics Suite for use on a computer running Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit. It worked fine on the previous computer I was using, which was running Windows XP Pro, 64 bit. I have been to the download site for all applicable patches and service packs for Corel 11, namely, SP1, SP2, Draw11SVGUpdate, and CGS11savefix.exe. When I run the SP1, I get an error message: "the file C:/Programfiles(x86)CorelCorelGraphics11FiltersCRLPDFImport110.dll is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded" The only response choice I was offered was "OK" and this exits the setup.
When I try to open either Corel Draw 11 or Corel Photo Paint 11, I get the following message: "Corel PHOTO-PAINT(R) [or DRAW] has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." The only "option" I'm given is to push the "Close program" toggle and exit. Windows has never contacted me via email to tell me of any solutions.
I have been using the Corel Draw Graphics Suite for many years - first buying the Full Version of CD5, then upgrading to 8, then upgrading to 11. I have the original "upgrade" discs for 11 which have installed just fine up to now, and I really do not need the extensive features of CGS X5 (which, by the way, works perfectly in the "trial download" form I put onto the computer in question!). I was SO hoping to get the updates on 11 installed so it will work on Win 7 Pro, rather than have to pay $200 for the upgrade to X5 "just" to gain the ability to run Corel DRAW and Corel PHOTO PAINT on this new computer. (By the way, that "just" is a relative term - if it's the only way to get a functioning program, I will have to upgrade - Corel DRAW and Corel PHOTO PAINT are the bedrock of our private printing press work!) Is there any way I can proceed with Corel 11?
I am new here and I have a problem with the nik filter. I get the NIK Collection by Google with color Efex Pro 4. After installing I can open the filter and work. Everything is ok, but I can not save the picture.

I have been upgrading to X6 from X5. I wanted to install a CorelDRAW macro called "Function Plotter", written by Alex Vakulenko, into X6. When upgrading from X4 to X5 I just manually placed a certain file (Plotter14.gms) into the Draw GMS folder in the program directory. Then back in CorelDRAW X5 I choose Tools > Options > Customization > Commands in order to place an icon in the toolbar, making access to the macro. It worked back then. However when I try the same procedure in X6 it doesn't work. I can see the file under "Commands" and place an icon, but nothing happens when I press the button. Maybe it has something to do with 64 bit, which from what I can see in this Forum causes a lot of trouble (scanner drivers, plugins, etc)?
This macro is extremely important for me. I have tried contacting Alex, but with no success so far. In the meanwhile I need to install X5 again..
how does the erase tool work in Corel Graphics X5? I click on it and drag it around the areas I want to erase, and all I get is a new line showing me where i've dragged the eraser around.

Basically autocomplete works with my other programs but it won't work in Corel. Below is a pic of what it's doing (top) and what it should do (bottom).

View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm running on a fairly new Dell Studio laptop computer with Windows 7 Pro as the OS.The font was installed using the normal install font directions.
As stated above the font works fine in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Word.It shows as installed in Corel Draw font menu but will not print when trying to type, the curser just blinks.
I also have 2 desktop computers running Windows XP Pro OS where the font works perfectly in all programs.
I have a radius that is spread between 10 and 40 degrees that I need to evenly space 6 line segments throughout.
What this is for is a property with 5 lots along a curved street. Each lot is the same size and I am trying to draw just the sections that are affected. I have tried using the star feature and reducing it to single lines, but they do not space evenly and getting the line number is very difficult. I have tried dividing the angle range and come up with the correct angle and spacing but this is also an issue. Is there any way to do this without dragging each line separately?
I have drawn two squares. one is 20mm sq and the other is 15mm sq.
I placed one square inside the boundery of the other and selected NO FILL..Yet when I import the image into my Laser Engraving program, the empty space between the borders of the two squares is FILLED...

I downloaded the new trial Corel X6 installed on win 7 64-bit.I have trouble working with transparencies inside a symbol. It also does not work if it is power-clipped inside a symbol. The error message is as follows:
This item cannot be stored inside a Symbol. The item must be removed in order to be able to finish editing this symbol. this same procedure does not work in Corel X5 oddly enough it works in Corel X4.

I have been using coreldraw 12 for some time and all of a sudden the transformation docker, I usually get it to pop up with the alt F7 shortcut, does not come up. None of the ones listed under arrange, transformations will work. Have I accidently turned something off or what. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it is the same. I am running windows 7

In the dialog box, I move the twin sliders all the way right to 255, that seems to be the least effect, but I would like even less effect than that if possible. Is there another way to get that effect at a reduced amount?
This was exported to tif and sent to the printer, the glow is a white outer glow.
As I usually do I exported the whole thing to a TIF and low and behold black lines in the print.
This was the bullet proof way of getting what you saw on the screen to hadcopy but sadly no more.
Can this be addressed in SP1, as it puts a serious hole in all the signies bag of tricks for that matter any body who wants to output special EFX from Corel.
