This happens repeatedly as I open the program and attempt to open a file. The "open file" dialog box flashes for a split second then disappears and the Photoshop program freezes up.

Is my software out of date/no use/rubbish? I can open 4.2 and that was the disc I installed but subsequent versions 4.3 and now 4.4 won't open and a box comes up saying error and some digits.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy question is, whether Photo Deluxe can be run only with admin privileges or as standard user, too.
A customer of ours uses this program and cannot start it without admin privileges. If logged in as standard user the pd4.exe just doesn't react in any way. No failure, nothing. Executing right is set, so it should work.
I'm having issues with CS5 shutting down when I attempt to open a file. I have reinstalled it to no avail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedLong time PS user with no real problems until now. CS2 works for a while but then suddenly my drop down menus (file, edit, image etc) will not drop down.
I can still edit the images I'm working on with the tools palette but can't save my work, nor can I use any drop down menus (even help, window and view). If I then try to close PS it sits there and essencially crashes and I have to close it via task manager.
Why doesn't the filmstrip open when I attempt to open multiple photos in camera row? I'm using CS4.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having issues with my computer completely freezing while performing a File, Open process. I'm in drawing 1, I save it, then go to open drawing 2. Drawing 1 will save, the open file window pops up. With me so far? While navigating through the file directory tree, my computer freezes. I do not chose a file that freezes during opening. It is during the process of getting to the folder drawing 2 resides in, and then it freezes. This happens to me multiple times a day. Ctrl +Alt+Delete will not work. I have tried letting my computer sit, as you would with a program not responding, and it doesn't unfreeze. The only option I am left with is a hard reboot. The only other program I have running is my MS Outlook.
I have been back and forth with our IT person, and because he can't replicate the problem (after trying one file open), he can't figure it out, or doesn't want to.
I am running AutoCad 2012 with a Dell Precision T3500, 2.13ghz, intell xenon E5506 processor, and 4gb of RAM. After looking at the system requirements, and reading that 2012 needs a 3.0 or higher processor, could this be the route of my issue?
This morning I opened AutoCad LT 2005 and was going to print a map with multiple layers. Everytime I tried to open the layers tool AutoCad LT 2005 would lock up. I would go to the task manager and it showed that it was still running but I could not do anything in the program. I closed Autocad LT from the task manager and opened up a blank document and tried to view layers and it locked up once again. I re-installed AutoCad LT 2005 from original disk and still I have the same behavior.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI open RAW pictures from my Canon 5D (but same happens with pictures from Canon 10D) in PS and than try to save them as JPGs, I loose majority of my metadata from the files (after right click on filename in. I can still Windows Explorer and clicking Properties or simply adding additional columns in Win XP Windows Explorer detailed view.So same picture, without any editing at all, just opened as RAW file (which it is a CR2 or CRW file in Canons), and then saved as JPG, suddenly does not show the date of picture taken, focal length or exposure time are all gone. Does not matter if I try Properties in Win Explorer or say Properties in MS Office Picture Manager.Was trying to look for any setting in PS that would set the ability to save or abandon saving of this type of information in JPG file but could not find anything of this kind.What is interesting I went back to my pictures I have saved from RAW to JPG using same PS years ago, and I this was not a problem. Everything was saving OK.So in summary:1. This would not be a problem related to camera (it is unlikely that same problem would occur on two different models at the same time - even though both are Canons)2. It must be a way to force the Photoshop to do that, I f I was able to do it successfully, almost without knowing, before.Therefore, I would think that either:1. There is some set of defaults somewhere in PS that I have accidently turned off causing my PS not to save this metadata properly or in full, or2. That it came as some kind of bug with some of the updates to PS CS3 that I was getting over last year from Adobe.

When I attempt to load xref the dialogue for file attachment does not appear. This has only started happening the past day or so. The same applies to image files etc.
View 2 Replies View Related32 times and 16 reboots later Photoshop 32 bit keeps freezing and not responding on a 2 gig 5 layers PSD file.
Its not the OS, its not the file format of the drive, its not the machine, as it worked last week on CS6 Works on a 64 bit machine no problem.
In VSX4, a particular VSP file is freezing but other VSP’s can be edited without problem.
It freezes during playback of the project, and individual scenes - audio and video. I have deleted individual clips - but it freezes at a different clip or at a different place entirely. I can play the first 17 minutes or so, but then it freezes. If I restart the program and play at any point after the 17 minute mark it freezes, sometimes immediately other times after a few munutes. Even scrolling after the 17 minute mark sometimes triggers it.
The message is: “Corel VS Pro has stopped working”. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
To try and resolve this I have:
Uninstalled and reinstalled VSX4 Pro
Updated to SP2
Updated QT and Direct X
System Restore
Full system scan

When I try to import a file it freezes up. It doesn't even give me an option to select type of file. It pulls up the screen where you would be able to but freezes and will not let me do anything. I use Windows XP.

Templates have been coverted up from 2011, keeping copies of the old templates in separate folders all under the same parent directory.Have 2013 mapped to the folder with updated templates located on a network drive. Total of 18 temolates including the standard templates.

The Issue:I start Inventor 2013 or open an .ipt/.iam ect. I now want to create a new file so I click the "New" Icon.Inventor freezes for 10-15seconds and finally shows the templates.After that if you click on any of the templates it freezes instantly. Or if you scroll the browser bar down to navigate the folder. 15-35 seconds
After selecting the correct template it freezes for about 15 seconds.For those keeping track Thats 40-65 seconds just to open a drawing...
For Inventor 2011.Click, Click, Click. Open...Takes maybe 5 seconds.
I recently loaded several versions of AutoCAD on to a Windows 7 machine. ALL versions will open a drawing if double-clicked from windows explorer, but if I try to open through AutoCAD, the program freezes as soon as I click on the "Open" button. This is true for AutoCAD 2010 through 2012.

I have autocad civil 3d 2008 in my pc. From last 2 days I got a different problem i.e. when I am selecting open / save command from File menu graphical file select explorer is not opening just message in the command window . Previously I used to select files using graphical file explorer.

When I open the templates in Photoshop 7 do I have to choose 300 dpi (the same dpi required for the images I have saved); make all the same choices as I have to for the images, (ie) CYMK, 5x5 inches, 300 dpi etc.? When I have the template open, what is the best way to bring the image to the template?
Is the template considered a layer? Do you always see the template through the image as you are working with layers? What is the easiest way to start another layer? How do you save each layer? How do I make my jpg become a photoshop file? Some of these Qs might be dumb but if you can answer them I may be able to fly.

I'm trying to play a video that I created from my Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ5 digital camera. When I try to play this file, it only operates in fast forward.
This file that I am playing was copied from a CD. (I made the video with my camera, copied it onto my computer, then burned this video onto a CD.) So it seems like I lost some information by copying from my camera onto my computer. Is there something I can do to fix this so I can play at a normal speed?
