Lightroom :: Cannot Open Version 4.4 In Windows 7 Home Edition
Apr 3, 2013
Is my software out of date/no use/rubbish? I can open 4.2 and that was the disc I installed but subsequent versions 4.3 and now 4.4 won't open and a box comes up saying error and some digits.
This happens repeatedly as I open the program and attempt to open a file. The "open file" dialog box flashes for a split second then disappears and the Photoshop program freezes up.
Photo Deluxe Home Edition 4.0 - This program will no longer boot up on my computer. Worked fine until I connected my PC to the internet. Occasionally I get a message about launching 16 bit plugins.
My question is, whether Photo Deluxe can be run only with admin privileges or as standard user, too. A customer of ours uses this program and cannot start it without admin privileges. If logged in as standard user the pd4.exe just doesn't react in any way. No failure, nothing. Executing right is set, so it should work.
I tried to install the trial version of cs3 from the adobe website, but after I installed the setup part and started downloading the actual program, it said it downloaded 1 shared component but it couldn't download the actual CS3 program.
My computer says I'm using:
Quote:
Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2
I'm not sure what the download problem was, I checked Adobe's troubleshooting page
P.S. - If CS3 isn't compatible with Windows XP Media Center Edition, is Photoshop CS2? I had CS2 on my old computer, which was one of the Windows XP (can't remember which one, but it had service pack 2) but I would like to download CS2 or preferrably CS3 on my new computer.
I am trying to add windows to the home I am designing. The glass should be in the middle of the wall cavity, but I don't know how to put it there. I have added windows from the "Fixed.rfa" family, but I can't get the glass to be in the center of the wall.
The image above is the window as it has currently been placed with the glass on the exterior (not middle).
I did a complete uninstall of GIMP 2.6. Then a complete install of GIMP 2.8. No errors during installation. When I run GIMP, Windows draws a window frame with the title "GIMP Startup" but the inside of the window remains unpainted (whatever was behind it remains visible). This window frame exists for maybe one second and then closes. I have waited a long time but nothing continues. Task Manager confirms that no application is running. I uninstalled, downloaded again, reinstalled (even just a "compact" installation), but same thing.

I am trying to install an old Photoshop CS Ver.8 on my new Windows 7 Home Premium OS but it tells me it's a trial Version?? It installs perfectly and works fine but informs me it is good for only 29 more days?? I bought this program new years ago. I have installed earlier versions in case it needs previous DLL's but that didn't work.
I'm looking to purchase a new PC that runs the 64-bit Windows Vista Home Premium. I'm wondering if my older programs, Premiere Pro 1.5, Photoshop 7, and Dreamweaver MX 2004 will run in the new system.
I just bought a new laptop with Windows 8..I need a cheaper older version of Photoshop Elements compatible with this....I have been using Elements 7, but no longer have this. Also what version of Lightroom is compatible with windows 8?
Just wanted to know if there are any problems installing Adobe Photoshop CS5 in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit?
Planning to purchase a laptop that comes with the OEM license and plan to use 64-bit OS to maximize the 8GB RAM of memory. Just afraid if there are known issues for this type of installations.
I have downloaded lr 3.6, installed it, but it won't open. lr2.7 works fine but I need the .cr2 capability. I run windows 7. It tries to open a catalog I created when I was using the trial. I deleted trial at the end of the trial period. Then dl'ed lr3.6, entered product key, so I have a legit program that I can't use.
Since upgrading to LR 3.6 I am unable to export .jpg photos from Windows Explorer directly into Lightroom 3. I always use to be able to right click on any photo and 'open with' Lightroom 3 (.exe) before this upgrade.
Also, in the library files I could do the same with my RAW photos - i.e. right click on one of them and 'open with' the LR3 icon in the list, but am unable to do this now.
I know I can open up LR3 and import the photos, but I simply prefer going into Windows Explorer to pick and choose the ones I want. My OS is Win 7.
It would be nice if the Web Gallery in Lightroom and Bridge would allow an easy way to add a home page link to allow users & clients not only to see the Gallery but get an entry point into your main web site. Manual and a tad time consuming, but adding a small amount of XML/HTML it can be done.
When you create a Flash Web Gallery it created a number of XML files in the Resource Directory. Navigate to this directory and open the file called group.xml
Here is where you need at add a snippet of code and here is the example - not elegant but I am not a programmer. Look for a section called custom it will look like <custom> and under the <siteTitle> add the code highlighted in red. The http reference should be red but the formatting of this page will not allow
<custom> <siteTitle>Sunol Wilderness</siteTitle> <groupTitle> <a href=" To Main Page</a> </groupTitle> <groupTitle> Here is the Group Title You Created....
Edit Arrgh the formatting of this page stripped out the link after the first ". so you will need to add your full URL including http and www of your home page..Now save the file and then upload the package as you normally would and at the top of the page of your Flash Gallery will be the link you inserted.
As I said not very elegant but it does work.they will add an input box to the Web Gallery Creator.
Yesterday, I mistakenly opened up the version 3 icon and put in several hours worth of image work, metadata changes, and created a couple of collections.
1. What will be the easiest way for me to update the changes to my version 4 catalog without undoing work that I have done in that from the last couple of weeks?
I am using Windows 7 OS, running Photoshop CS6 standard 64 Bit, 12GB RAM, dual XEON 2.6ghz processors. I am experiencing problems with shortcuts. I also experienced the issues when using the Release candidate.
The issues I have: The shortcuts will work intermittently and appear to be effected when using the layers palette. The issue relates to things like pressing the J for clone or B for brush. Sometimes they work sometimes they dont. Other times I get a chime noise/beep sounding when pressing the [ ] keys to increase the brush size. the brush will increase/decrease. The fix is normally to select the tool with the mouse and all is well for a while
I seem to have found a pattern when this occurs - and is when I have been using the layers palette. An issue I can reproduce. For example I duplicate a layer, then select the new layer - add a blending mode then click on the new layer, old layer and try the merge shortcut - nothing happens. Sometimes I get the chime noise as well but still no merge. If I click off the layers palette and then attempt the above - the merge works perfectly.
Equally if I attempt the merge of the layers without first clicking off the layers, and try to select say B (brush) I get the chime and the tool is not selected. Other times no chime and the tool is not selected. Again using the mouse to select it works ok
What was an inconvenience is a real pain now, as I am slowing down to do the click off layers trick or double checking the tool is the correct one I am trying to use.
Things Ive tried/figured out:
Ive ensured the kit Im running is technically sound and is not being created by a performance issue.I can reproduce this fault on different computers (all windows) I have tried resetting the workspace and removing all but the layers pallet, but the issue remains Ive even replaced the keyboard!! Even though the keyboard only has an issue in Photoshop. When running CS5 I did not have this issue, but the RC and the final version of CS6 displays this feature Ive closed all apps, with the exception of CS6 Photoshop to work out if is was an incompatibility - feature remains Seems to be related to using the layers palette, when not using the palette .
Is it possible to switch from a Mac Version to a Windows Version of CorelCAD?
CorelDRAW Suite X6 + CorelDRAW Technical Pack for Graphics Suite X6 - Running in Parallels Desktop 8 with Windows 7 Pro installed.
Early 2008 Mac Pro 2 x 4 Core 2.8Ghz; 32GB RAM; Mac OS X 10.9 + Apps on 2 x SSD Raid 0; Data on 2 x SSD Raid 0 [all SATA 3]; Windows Data on SSD Native Mac SATA:
I'm very unfamiliar with this software, and am not actually doing anything on it, just need to save a file for some printers who only have Version 11 or lower compatibility. How can I downsave.
I've been using the CC version of AE on my MacBook Pro since the evening it came out and all seemed similar to previous AE versions on my home and work Macs, but I just switched to a high-powered Windows workstation and was surprised to see how indexed (not smooth) the CTI was on RAM-Preview. I couldn't care less about UI animation except that it is pretty distracting when watching animations play back aa there is a vertical red line jumping 15 frames at a time. The playback is smooth and previews aren't set to skip frames.
Why is this behavior so different than the OSX version? Can I fix it?
I have an older version of Adobe Photoshop (3.0, 1996) that I have tried to load under Windows 7 and under a "Parallells" WIndows 7 on a MAC OSX 10. Both give me an incompatibility message regarding a 32 bit application and a 64 bit application.
how I can use the older Photoshop under Windows 7.
My original Photoshop full version was v. 5. Since then, I've bought upgrade discs through CS3. Windows 7 won't accept my original version because it's too old, I guess, so I can't load any of the upgrades, either. How can I get around this so I can use Photoshop on my Windows 7 machine. I can't keep my XP laptop forever.
Let me know whether Adobe Photoshop CS6 of version 13 is compatible on Windows 7 64bit Operating System? In case if it is not compatible on Windows 7 64bit OS,then will there be any free upgrade provided by Adobe.
If not then what would be alternative product to be installed and the License cost details per head. Also please provide the URL or location from which the licensed product can be downloaded as well as the installation documentation.
I would like to determine if the installed version is CS4 or higher using the Windows Registry.I currently have Photoshop CS4 and CS6 installed on my computer. They appears as follow in the registry:
