I am trying to add windows to the home I am designing. The glass should be in the middle of the wall cavity, but I don't know how to put it there. I have added windows from the "Fixed.rfa" family, but I can't get the glass to be in the center of the wall.
The image above is the window as it has currently been placed with the glass on the exterior (not middle).
I did a complete uninstall of GIMP 2.6. Then a complete install of GIMP 2.8. No errors during installation. When I run GIMP, Windows draws a window frame with the title "GIMP Startup" but the inside of the window remains unpainted (whatever was behind it remains visible). This window frame exists for maybe one second and then closes. I have waited a long time but nothing continues. Task Manager confirms that no application is running. I uninstalled, downloaded again, reinstalled (even just a "compact" installation), but same thing.

I am trying to install an old Photoshop CS Ver.8 on my new Windows 7 Home Premium OS but it tells me it's a trial Version?? It installs perfectly and works fine but informs me it is good for only 29 more days?? I bought this program new years ago. I have installed earlier versions in case it needs previous DLL's but that didn't work.
I'm looking to purchase a new PC that runs the 64-bit Windows Vista Home Premium. I'm wondering if my older programs, Premiere Pro 1.5, Photoshop 7, and Dreamweaver MX 2004 will run in the new system.
Is my software out of date/no use/rubbish? I can open 4.2 and that was the disc I installed but subsequent versions 4.3 and now 4.4 won't open and a box comes up saying error and some digits.
Just wanted to know if there are any problems installing Adobe Photoshop CS5 in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit?
Planning to purchase a laptop that comes with the OEM license and plan to use 64-bit OS to maximize the 8GB RAM of memory. Just afraid if there are known issues for this type of installations.
I am currently working on a home where i need to have a single slanted roof go across the perimeter of the home to form a roof. But, i have run into the issue of not being able to connect the circled area(see attached) Is it possible to connect those separate roofs and if so how?
Is it possible to have two different tags for windows? In some I'd want to see the description, and in others only the mark. It seems that I can only load one tag for windows at the time?
I installed Revit 2013 in my laptop, but always showed me an error and revit closed. I reinstalled the windows on my lap top and downloaded revit again (Students version) but in the window installer don't appear enable the revit option.
I'm have an issue where my windows disappear behind my tree outline when I print. The trees are default revit deciduous trees. I have overridden element to make it 100% Transparent. Also I have tried to override it in visibility Graphics. [URL] ... Is this a problem with Revit 2014. This happens with both our paper printer, our plotter and adobe pdf so we know that its not a specific printer issue. Also it only happens in hidden line mode when changed to realistic mode, the windows print.
I have attached views of a printed to pdf view with the windows missing and a revit view of the same drawing before sent to the printer. As you can see it looks correct in my revit view.
I just opened two separate projects in Revit Architecture 2014 and the Properties window and the Project Browser Window will not dock. When I double click on the top tab of each one, it will expand in width to the full width of my screen. I recently upgraded from 2013 to 2014. Is this a 2014 glitch?
I am using Revit 2013 and I am trying to create a text parameter for my windows that will tell you what grid is installed in the window according to which grids you choose (from my parameters above) I have included a picture to better show what I am trying to do. So far the parameters i have tried to use don't seem to work.
Is it possible to make a true cut in windows or doors. Sometimes windows or doors needs different presentation in different levels. I can do this by changing the door or window family to a generic model family but why can i not do this in the door/window family?
(too the left generic model family and to the right the door family)
Why would a window be movable by dragging but not movable by changing the temporary dimension? It's not pinned.
It works fine for the walls, but no matter what I put in the dimension value it won't budge the window an inch.
Is it an error in my family or is there something wrong with the project? I've been having a lot of problems with this one. I feel like it's all the funny angles, but the window and the door are in the same freaking wall so why should that matter?
how to change the dimensions of the doors and windows in revit 2013 when i select the door ,, the door dimensions are in like M_single-flush 08153/2134 mm etc but my college project is having the dimensions in inches
I have made an extruded wall and when I attempt to add a window I get this warning.
None of the created elements are visible in Structural Plan: Erdgeschoss View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings, as well as any Plan Regions and their settings.
Is it possible to use the Window Schedule to create many windows at once? For example we have a Excel spreadsheet that describes a window on each row. The columns specify the x, y, z, width, height, type, etc.
If we paste this information into a Schedule with the same columns will it automatically create these windows with the correct properties(position, dimensions, type, etc.)?Also would it be possible to do the same with other elements such as Pipes and Pits? How would we specify the family for these elements?
My floor structure has a finish layer of carpet that's a 1/2" thick. When I build this however, my doors and full height windows won't go down to the carpet, they'll go down to the sheathing and the carpet will cut in around it all. So how do I get my carpet to cut itself out of the way of my doors/ windows like it does with my walls? Take a look at the pic (sans walls) to see the carpet intersecting with my frames.
I have a user that when adding a sliding window has Revit crash on her. This is happening several times during the day. There will be over 80 of these windows. Her workstation has plenty of grunt, Xeon Quad core, 12Gb RAM etc. I have attached the journal file that shows the crash.
what determines the order in which the windows tile? I can see that the window I have active, goes to the upper left. But I would like to see some consistency that when I hit WT, that all the views go to the quadrant I want the to. Is this random, or logical?
I just downloaded the student version of Revit 2012 and when trying to draw in the window i get the following error message. "A error has occurred while drawing the contents of the window." This lwindow shall be closed.
I can not select the walls and windows on the floor plan, but can select everything else like the dim, text, section marks, etc.
I also can choose the walls of the first floor, if they are used as the underlay of the second floor. However, when I am in the first floor plan view, I can not.
