I installed Revit 2013 in my laptop, but always showed me an error and revit closed. I reinstalled the windows on my lap top and downloaded revit again (Students version) but in the window installer don't appear enable the revit option.

I now want to install Photoshop CS3 and I get a very early error message indicating Minimum Requirements not met...Windows XP SP1 and greater and Windows Vista, it then dumps me out.

I have been using Illustrator CS3 for several years under WinXP, and have now upgraded the OS to WIN7. I am failing to install, whatever I do it comes back with the following error message:
`The installer database is corrupt, if this continues .....'
I had onscreen chats with Adobe's Vallen and (maybe) Sumar, who just sent me back to the Support page and forum page. Digging there I eventually found [URL] ....... and followed the instructions, including deleting the caps folder because neither of the database files were in it.
There is a suggestion that I would get somewhere if I was disconnected from the internet. I am wondering also if removal of Photoshop Elements 10 would get rid of a conflict (I have already stripped out most other Adobe programs). I am pretty sure that before loading WIn7 I had been forced to uninstall CS3 for reasons of space, so I don't think ther should be an issue of serial nos.
Now with Windows 7, on a completely new workstation I have exactly the same issue: When I start LR and select the catalog, everything works as usual. But when I double click on the *.lrcat file, or select one in windows the following happens: Lightroom tries to install itself! !!!!
When I click on cancel, an error 1706 appears, "no valid source could be be foundfor product LR 4.1 64bit, the windows installer cannot proceed." To go ahead of an obvious question: the file type lrcat seem to be associated with the 64 bit Lightroom:
Moving to a Windows 2008 Server x64 desktop and notice that when Lightroom is installed it's the 32bit version. On Vista x64 the installer automatically installs Lightroom 64bit. Is there a way to manually select the 64 bit version for install ?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to add windows to the home I am designing. The glass should be in the middle of the wall cavity, but I don't know how to put it there. I have added windows from the "Fixed.rfa" family, but I can't get the glass to be in the center of the wall.
The image above is the window as it has currently been placed with the glass on the exterior (not middle).
Is it possible to have two different tags for windows? In some I'd want to see the description, and in others only the mark. It seems that I can only load one tag for windows at the time?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm have an issue where my windows disappear behind my tree outline when I print. The trees are default revit deciduous trees. I have overridden element to make it 100% Transparent. Also I have tried to override it in visibility Graphics. [URL] ... Is this a problem with Revit 2014. This happens with both our paper printer, our plotter and adobe pdf so we know that its not a specific printer issue. Also it only happens in hidden line mode when changed to realistic mode, the windows print.
I have attached views of a printed to pdf view with the windows missing and a revit view of the same drawing before sent to the printer. As you can see it looks correct in my revit view.
Is there a way of changing the side of an opening window on multiple windows at the same time?

When I double click on the top tab of each one, it will expand in width to the full width of my screen. I recently upgraded from 2013 to 2014. Is this a 2014 glitch?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to make a true cut in windows or doors. Sometimes windows or doors needs different presentation in different levels. I can do this by changing the door or window family to a generic model family but why can i not do this in the door/window family?
(too the left generic model family and to the right the door family)
Why would a window be movable by dragging but not movable by changing the temporary dimension? It's not pinned.
It works fine for the walls, but no matter what I put in the dimension value it won't budge the window an inch.
Is it an error in my family or is there something wrong with the project? I've been having a lot of problems with this one. I feel like it's all the funny angles, but the window and the door are in the same freaking wall so why should that matter?

Is it possible to use the Window Schedule to create many windows at once?For example we have a Excel spreadsheet that describes a window on each row. The columns specify the x, y, z, width, height, type, etc.

If we paste this information into a Schedule with the same columns will it automatically create these windows with the correct properties(position, dimensions, type, etc.)?Also would it be possible to do the same with other elements such as Pipes and Pits? How would we specify the family for these elements?
My floor structure has a finish layer of carpet that's a 1/2" thick. When I build this however, my doors and full height windows won't go down to the carpet, they'll go down to the sheathing and the carpet will cut in around it all. So how do I get my carpet to cut itself out of the way of my doors/ windows like it does with my walls? Take a look at the pic (sans walls) to see the carpet intersecting with my frames.

I can not select the walls and windows on the floor plan, but can select everything else like the dim,text, section marks, etc.
I also can choose the walls of the first floor, if they are used as the underlay of the second floor. However, when I am in the first floor plan view, I can not.
I want to move my horizontal hatch lines so they align with the top of my windows.
