Dec 20, 2012I was wondering if after drawing an alignment, creating a profile, and profile view, is there a way I can mark items along the alignment so they could show up in the profile view. I am laying out a pipeline and want to have the profile display a marker for items such as tees, elbows, reducers and other items. The marker I would like to use will be something like the vertical style grade break markers.
Also on a side note, as each of these items will have a different name, is there a way that I can add these markers and then have each one with a unique name?

Photoshop :: Type Tool Quotation Marks Display Like Greater-than Symbols
May 23, 2012I'm having trouble with getting quotation marks to display correctly, they look like 2 stacked >> symbols. They change slightly depending on what font I'm using, but they all ride at the base of the text. I cannot acheive normal looking curly or straight quotes at all.
I have tried switching smart quotes on and off in the preferences, restarting, etc. I've noticed this problem in the past, but I thought it was the font I was using. The same thing happens with Times New Roman. I'm running an up to date version of PSextended CS5, 64bit on win 7 64.
Photoshop :: CS2 For Windows 7 Won't Recognize File Type
Feb 12, 2013I scanned some images using Phtoshop CS2 and saved them in Photoshope as jpgs. But apparently photoshop interpretted the end of the file name that I typed as a file extension - so a file that was called Portrait-06.22.1999 - was saved as a "1999" file as opposed to a jpg file. I can view these images in Windows Photo Viewer or Windows Live Photo gallery but they won't open in Photoshop. How do I change the file type so photoshop will recognize them? I tried just to add a JPG extension to the name of the file but that did not work. Also those photos that had this problem but were listed under "open recent" - I was able to get back in and save again as jpg and now they are fine.

However, Photoshop CC is basically unusable at this resolution because it does not honor the scaling. I have to drop the resolution down to 1600x900 before launching Photoshop CC.

Jun 20, 2012This only happens when PS CS6 (x64) is opened (fresh). If I create a blank doc, I get a top left "blank" rectangle. If I start up CS6 and select a file to open, I get the same blank square. After this, if I open or create a new doc, the files look fine. If I zoom into the blank space, it will eventually draw in properly. This is on any file I open. The files are intact.This is on Win 7 x64, Updated CS6 x64.

My problem is that JPEG, PNG, & GIF change in lockstep - (like you would expect all of a similar type - ex. JPG, JPEG, etc. to do). BMP and TIFF are not affected. Is it a Windows or Photoshop matter? (This was not a problem in Windows XP and CS.) I would just like to have the correct icon (provided in the Photoshop.exe file) associated with the various file types.

Oct 28, 2013On a MacBook Pro 15-inch retina display running OS 10.8.3, in Photoshop CS6: after launching PS, the work window is too tall for the monitor display. The bottom is cut off: there are no bottom scroll bars or nor any of the page info, I can't grab the resizing corner to change window dimensions. Also, I can't change from Standard Screen Mode: neither the left tool bar nor the F key has any effect. I've quit and restarted both the PS app and entire computer but problem persists.
