Everytime i press the shift key and quotation mark key for the double quotation mark to display on my text on PS cs5 doesn't work. It display a double arrow instead.

I'm in the process of converting existing VBA code to VB.NET using AutoCAD 2010 and MS Visual Studio Professional, and I just hit a major snag.
In AutoCAD 2010, double-clicking a block will display its attributes in the attributes editor; I would like instead to be able to display my own custom vb.net form showing some of the block's attributes, IF AND ONLY IF the block was created by my dot net form (the block would have certain identifiable characters in its name).
So far, I have discovered that this may have something to do with the cuix customization file, as well as setting the system variable DBLCLICKEDIT.
I'm having trouble with getting quotation marks to display correctly, they look like 2 stacked >> symbols. They change slightly depending on what font I'm using, but they all ride at the base of the text. I cannot acheive normal looking curly or straight quotes at all.
I have tried switching smart quotes on and off in the preferences, restarting, etc. I've noticed this problem in the past, but I thought it was the font I was using. The same thing happens with Times New Roman. I'm running an up to date version of PSextended CS5, 64bit on win 7 64.
How do I get a double arrow pointer (cursor)to drag corners? I only get an icon with three hands and cannot change it in the Edit-cursor tools.

I am a beginner and I think some thing is turned off but the do not know what, because you need this spacial cursor on screen to change values in the channel box but my own is not showing up.

Since installing CS6 about a month ago, when I double-click on an image and PS is closed, PS will launch but the image doesn't open. If PS is already open, double-clicking works properly. This was an upgrade install and I'm running Mac OS 10.6.8.

You double-click on the .CDR file name, but instead of the file opening, you get this error message:
If I drag the file to CorelDRAW, it opens. Same applies to .JPG and other files associated with PHOTO-PAINT.
I love CorelDRAW, but I'm convinced this is a BUG that seems to be ignored. It's been around for years. It's basic to how Corel works and works with Windows--I don't understand why they don't fix it. This is quite an annoyance; the good thing is I can always open the file by dragging it.
CorelDRAW version is 15.2.0.695. WinXP is Professional Version 2002, SP3. Found no answer in the Corel Knowledgebase. Never had this problem with CorelDRAW v.2-12.
Every time I double click on single line text it brings up the properties. I have searched online and made the changes to certain toggle settings and still nothing. I'm not doing something right I just can't figure it out. I know "DDEDIT" can do the trick. But, I know double clicking has worked on previous version and I want it to work on my 2013 version.

I am currently writing a book that will initially be sold as a PDF but may later go on the i Book store, however I don't have a Retina display myself and what is the best practice for making screenshots from a normal display look acceptably sharp on a Retina display?
I have Photoshop along with the iOS simulator that shows how the iPad or iPhone will look if they can be used in some way but I mainly need to get menu items and dialogue boxes from various applications in OS X and Windows looking good on Retina screens. I really don't want to pay out for a Retina display purely for this task that would only take a few hours of work at most.
My Type Tool does not select type by double clicking or click and drag. (Windows CS 5 V15.1). This is what I have tried so far and the problem still exists.
Check preferences for "Text": "Select text-object by path only" should be off. Checked. It was off. Didn't fix it.
Check the toggle for Show/Hide Edges in the View menu. Cmd(Ctrl)-H. Checked. Edges Showing. Didn't fix it.
Trashed my Prefeerences. Didn't fix it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just built this brand new computer and everytime I open up Photoshop CC it first promps me with a message that 3d features require a minimum of 512mb of vRam and it has detected less on my system. I then go into Edit>Preference>Performance and under Graphics Processor Settings it says that it is Unable to detect information and that photoshop has detected an error in my display driver.
This is a brand new computer the specs are:
Windows 8 Pro - 64bit
Intel Core i5-3570k CPU @ 3.40GHz
Ram: 16 GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
I updated my graphics driver via the Radeon site and it is version: 12.104-130328a-159787C-ATI.
I even rolled back to previous versions of my display driver and still nothing. I also tried out CS6 and CS5 and I still have the same problems.
Also here is the system info via photoshop:

My "infinite light" tool does not display when I select "infinite light" in my 3D layers panel. It's the tool that rotates so you can easily adjust the light in the image. I'm guessing I've done something with my settings.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if after drawing an alignment, creating a profile, and profile view, is there a way I can mark items along the alignment so they could show up in the profile view. I am laying out a pipeline and want to have the profile display a marker for items such as tees, elbows, reducers and other items. The marker I would like to use will be something like the vertical style grade break markers.
Also on a side note, as each of these items will have a different name, is there a way that I can add these markers and then have each one with a unique name?
i have proceded as i ve done for years to activate the product, when it cames to the level where i should usually put my information it dosn't display, reinstalled it for several times and taking care of delliting all the stuff that goes under App data, common files where autodesk shered in which the LMU reponsebal is located and nothing happended after reinstalling.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy drawings contain active linework, civil 3D data (contours, etc.), and references.When a plot is executed without the publisher - everything appears normal. Specifically, all contours appear on plots and PDFs.
However, when plotting using the AutoCAD publisher (to batch many plots together, 70 or so plan sheets in 4 drawings) some Civil 3D data does not appear. Most contours are shown - however contours from a specific surface (existing ground surface) do not appear.
The publisher result is the same whether using a PDF driver or physical plot driver - these contours do not appear.
The style used to display the existing contours is used on other surfaces within the plot set - and oddly these contours appear on the publisher plot. However, no contours from this specific existing ground surface will display using the PUBLISHER.
Are there alternative ways to batch plot a set of drawings that I can explore without further cost?
I've been using Lightroom 4 since just a few weeks after it came out and been happy with it. My Canon T3i was new to Raw, but I haven't had any issues importing and images looked as I expected the output to be before editing. I have a preset of my standard settings that I apply during import.
I upgraded to 4.2 this week and I took some light painting shots and when I imported 40+ RAW images, I watched one that I really liked in the preview change from what I expected, to a much darker and overly blue image. I thought at first this was due to my preset so I zereoed out the image but it still didn't look the same as the RAW outside of Lightroom. I deleted the picture from the library and added it again and saw before importing it was lighter and had the colors I expected and after importing it changed to overly blue with really bright spots in it.
I uploaded the RAW converted to JPG using Windows Live Gallery, which shows it as the camera preview showed it, and again after letting lightroom export to a JPG with no image adjustements that I know of URL....
Other pictures from this same shoot but of a green light look as I expect.I do have a Spyder 3 for monitor calibration in case there might be a profile issue.I imported the JPG I created outside of Lightroom and it looks better. If I drag the Black slider to -100 I get a similar look to what Lightroom did when I imported the RAW, although the slider then it positioned at 0.

We have a Revit Ar 2011 project that is well along in the modeling process and we have noticed that recently elevation symbols do not display on the cursor while placing. Once the elevation tag has been placed it displays normally. Basically, you are operating somewhat blind until the item is placed. Then you can see it in order to modify the orientation and such.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have and array that looks fine in model space but when viewed in a viewport from paperspace, sections of the array look like they are wiped out. Going back to model space everything looks fine. The only way I can get it to fill in is to delete the viewport and create another one. It's then fine for awhile but before long, areas are missing again. I've redone the viewport three times and it's starting to drive me nuts.

Previews fine in Safari on Mac as standalone file and dropped in to iframe on Wordpress page (just like a Nivo slider on same page. Also previews in Safari using IE user agent string. When viewed in any browser on Windows OS, no animation display; either as standalone or loaded into iframe. Possibly something simple: a CSS visbility? URL....
View 3 Replies View RelatedNew to this video editing game, just have a question regarding 4.3 and 16.9. i have a Canon XM2 which has a setting in the menu for 16.9 wide screen format. When this is selected on the camera the view finder shows a distored image (squshed). I have also found a setting that when 16.9 is turned off you can display 2 horizontal lines on the display. my question is am i better off shooting footage with the 16.9 turned off on the camera and then using Videostudio pro x4 to create the 16.9 format(if this can be done).
