What tools do I use to do this? I saved the photos in maximum qulaity with 600 pixels / inch. I need to have them large enough to be enlarged to 16" x 24"
I'm trying to enlarge a 6x8 inch black and white line drawing jpg file to about 36x48..(actually a little smaller so it will fit on a 3x4 cork board) How can I do this in Corel Paint (or Draw) so that we end up with clean (and blurry) lines ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI had Corel Photo Paint v.9, have used it for years in addition to DRAW, but recently my computer died and I had to replace it. I installed it on the new machine, which is running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, but the line tool suddenly started acting nuts. I would move the cursor to where I wanted to start the line and start the line with a mouse click. The line would then dart half-way down the screen and would be nowhere near the cursor's cross hairs making it difficult to work on images.
So, I figured it was a compatibility issue so I bought Corel Technical Suite X6 and have installed it. The line tool does exactly the same thing. The position of the line is nowhere near the crosshairs of the cursor. Is this a new "feature" or is this a bug? If the former, how can I get it to work like I am accustomed to working (I have used DRAW and Photopaint since the mid 1990's, using version 5.0). If the latter, how can I fix it?
How to turn on/off the layers in a filter?
In our company we use standard layerfilters, so they should be the same name in every drawing (else its gonna be a good idea to do so).
If i know the command on how to turn off of on layers who are set in a filter i can make a macro to do it for me, but i dunno if there is an way to turn of those layers with an command.
I just drew a shape with the pen tool. But even though I can see the line, it's not a real line. I can hide the layer and still see it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am learning to neutralize color casts in PS6, and one way I found was through this website: [URL] ..... which proports to teach Photoshop.
In using their examples, in step 1 new adj layer, pick photo filter, fine.
Step 2 it says to click on color, which opens up the color picker dialogue box, and move cursor, which turns into eyedropper over the color you want to change and click on it. It is supposed to sample the color and change the color in the color picker dialogue box.
When I click on the color, what comes up in the color picker window is WHITE (for new color), split with the original color of the filter. I cannot get it to come up the color I am picking. I cannot get it to come up without the split color in the box. Even if I change it to only use Gamut color, I still get a split box with white as my picked color.
When I use'command-click' on the color I want to sample, it changes the color in the image, instead of just sampling it for the (new) color in the color picker, so I it changes the original color in the image and I cannot use the information.
When I don't use a New Adj layer and just do it on the image, itself, it works.
how to turn any length of a line in photoshop (7) into a perfect circle.
I have a line 8 by 50 pixels perfectly flat, how to curve that into a border of a circle?
Does the Topaz filters can be installed in PhotoPaint X6 (64 bit).

As well, I want to draw multiple lines on one layer, however everytime I draw a line, i get a new layer!
I'm using a shared computer at a university and we just upgraded to CS6. When I use the line tool while making a mask a box pops up which measures the line's length and angle.
I want to turn it off, and it blocks being able to see what I am trying to mask. I've tried looking this up online and in Photoshop but I just don't know the correct terminolgy, i.e. what to call it, to find out how to turn it off.

I've used 5.0 for a long time and have gotten 7.0 recently. I need to turn off anti-aliasing on all tools to preserve sharp lines in the illustrations I do, which is simple in 5.0, but haven't been able to find a way to do the line tool in 7.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have hardly ever used filters for any of my work as I have preferred using Xara's native tools and effects to get what I wanted. But recently, I was inspired by some animation work which used backgrounds painted in Photoshop. They used a lot of textures which enhanced the look of the animation and so I thought I'd try to simulate it within Xara.
It works very well and I can export it as a PSD retaining the layers and Alpha channel. But here come my questions.
1. How can I remove the two Alien Skin demo plugins as I already have the full versions.
2. Why don't the native Photoshop plugins--Artistic, Sketch, etc.--seem to work?
I'm trying to use the line tool to draw a colored line, I draw the line via Line tool, it appears in grey, I right click>stroke path and select Pencil > OK, the line is still grey and not the foreground color. If I do the same with a Rectangle Tool, it works fine and darws me a nice colored rectangle. What am I doing wrong? This is driving me nuts...!!
