Like you know, I've some picture I got from the web, and I want to use Photoshop to modify this picture so that it becomes a cool-looking photograph with the edges being flipped a little and there's all those white borders around the picture, like a real photo!
I know of some websites which I saved to my browser's favorites list, but my PC crashed and the links got lost!

I am trying to draw a line. Now all of a sudden, there is a stupid arrow. how to do i turn this annoying freature off?

I'm using a shared computer at a university and we just upgraded to CS6. When I use the line tool while making a mask a box pops up which measures the line's length and angle.
I want to turn it off, and it blocks being able to see what I am trying to mask. I've tried looking this up online and in Photoshop but I just don't know the correct terminolgy, i.e. what to call it, to find out how to turn it off.

I've used 5.0 for a long time and have gotten 7.0 recently. I need to turn off anti-aliasing on all tools to preserve sharp lines in the illustrations I do, which is simple in 5.0, but haven't been able to find a way to do the line tool in 7.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use the line tool to draw a colored line, I draw the line via Line tool, it appears in grey, I right click>stroke path and select Pencil > OK, the line is still grey and not the foreground color. If I do the same with a Rectangle Tool, it works fine and darws me a nice colored rectangle. What am I doing wrong? This is driving me nuts...!!

I am working on drawing supplied by someone else. In this drawing virtually all the lines are polylines whereas I just want to work with 'ordinary' lines. It causes problems with filleting lines as it automatically turns new lines into polylines. Is there a way to turn a polyline into an 'ordinary' line or do I just have to redraw each line or put up with the problems it causes?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have to draw a rather weird drawing with a lot of angled lines. Currently I'm using UCS to draw them but it's really tiresome.
I would draw 1 line, then type in UCS, select the X and Y axis, draw that line, escape, then hit in UCS again, rinse and repeat.
Is there a simpler way? I tried polar tracking "relative to last segment" but it still uses the x axis as the base, which is not what I want. I want the line to be the X axis.
I currently have an assignment that requires us to turn our 2D drawing into 3D. I am having difficulty with the walls and constructing them. Any recommendations on how to begin this process?
View 9 Replies View RelatedHow can I turn text into a single line of dots, a la Stella McCartney's old logo?
Note: I tried creating outlines & using the dashed stroke setting but that only allows me to turn the outline/stroke of the letters into dots... I need to change the actual fill into dots.
how to title my question...which has been making googling tough. I want to duplicate the outline / two tone effect in my attached picture to a different picture of a car.
I'm hoping there is some filter or steps to pulling this off, without having to draw it from scratch (which isn't going to happen!)
I've migrated from Autocad 2005 to ACAD LT 2014. After using it for a couple of weeks I find the angle and length display on the line command more of a distraction. Can I turn this feature off?
View 3 Replies View RelatedOur survey crew would like to upload a dxf file into their data collector in order to stake out linework such as curb & gutter with elevation. They have given up on using stakeout points as a standard procedure long before I arrived (being the cad guy I just figured everyone used points for stakeout) and up to now they would just use the 2-d linework and manually calc elev on their own. From what I understand our RLS didn't "trust" the data collector to use elevation for staking. Now that we finally talked our RLS into "trusting" the data collector as far as using elevation for staking we are running into problems with our feature lines when exporting to a dxf file. As you may or may not know when exporting to a dxf file it explodes our feature lines into lines, p-line, and arcs. Feature lines that have different elev & no curves turn into regular line segments and they still have the correct elev on each end vertex. Great. Feature lines that had the same elev for all vertex turn into a polyline with no elev or a whacked out elev. Featurelines that had a radius turn into polylines and/or arcs (I don't know what it's using to determine this) but either way the elev is zero or whacked out once again. No good!
So, using a dxf file in their data collector to stakeout linework with elevation? If, so what is your procedure?
Furthermore I find it absolutely ridiculous that... oh never mind, it does no good to complain about the complete lack of transparency between C3D, surveyors, and surveying equipment.I have tested the dxf file with both C3D 2011 & 2012. I have not tried it with 2013, maybe that has changed? Our survey crew is using a Tsc2 data collector.
