I am in PS 7 (Yeah my knuckles drag a little but I can't afford to upgrade)
Everything works great until I try to save the image, then it freezes but not completely.
I can still move around but all of the menu items are dead and nothing works.
I have re installed 6 times and still the same.
First of all a little bit about the hardware/software:
- Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit
- ACAD2011 with 1.1
- Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS (not a supported graphic card from what I know)
- Intel i5-750
Since we got that out of the way let's get to it.
A week ago I was told that a lot of times the PC's freeze when you try to "Save", "Save as" or "Open" a file (we open/save on a network drive). If that happens we have to restart the PC and hope it doesn't happen again, but since this happens quite a lot (over the course of four days about 27 times on 7 PC's) I tried to fix this.
I installed the patch, updated the drivers for the graphic card and reinstalled NET Framework 4. The problem didn't occur as often but it still happened sometimes.
Photoshop CS3 has to be closed via task manager because it freezes when I try to save my work. Deleted the prefs.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am running Autocad 2014 on a Windows 7 machine. Everytime a use the open command Autocad appears to freeze. I can clear the freeze by hitting the escape key. The only way I can open drawing files is to use windows explorer and click on the file I want to open.
View 7 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop is unusable for me. I was running CS6 but it kept freezing when I tried to open a file. I uninstalled and installed CC -- same problem. I checked the preferences to see if there was a setting for an Adobe file dialog and it froze again.
I suspect it has something to do with Mountain Lion 10.8.4 but I don't have this problem in other Adobe apps. Ran Disk Utility, verified permissions, verified disk -- everything checks out. Not sure what to do.
I have the minimum requirements on my system, I have reinstalled (twice) with the proper rebooting afterwards, etc.,

I opened the file and it is only 1 black layer now!It took me days working on it.It is for a client. The file size still states 300mbs,when using Photoshop to open it, i still see a small thumbnail preview of it.but i just can't get all the layers back! Any solutions on this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt happens during many different commands. The command itself doesn't seem to affect this problem. It doesn't always happen, but every so often, as I'm in the middle of a command, when I scroll past a contour line the program freezes. Sometimes it comes back to life after a few seconds of thinking, but sometimes it just sits there non-responsive forever.
Possible ideas:
-Contour Labels set to "Mask Contour Line Only"
-Dynamic Inputs on
-Selection Preview is on (but it's disabled for "When a command is active")
-Surface is shortcutted into the drawing
-Contours are from an XREF

Whenever I place a copy or paste from the clipboard AutoCAD freezes for about 5 -8 seconds and is very annoying. Time is money people. I know it's not a RAM issue. I don't have the problem with 2011 when I go back to it. What gives Autodesk? When is the next service pack due? This only happens with teh copy command
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've created an action that uses the save for web dialogue to optimise images for the web. When I use the batch command to process a full folder of images, even though I have "Override action "save as" command" checked, it ignores this and still uses the location that was used when the action was created.
Apparently this is a known issue in CS6 and previous versions but whether this has been fixed in Photoshop CC?
Since I have a new laptop with Windows 8, I couldn't get Photoshop CS6 anymore, so I downloaded PS CC. It's working great the last days, but since yesterday PS freezes or closes every time I try to save a .gif in save for web and devices.

We are running Win7pro6d bit quad core machines with 6gb ram, ATI FirePro V4800 (FireGL), Intel Xeon ES640 (2.67 ghz). AutoCAD Civil 3D(SP2) and all hotfixes installed.
This problem just started one week ago and It started with the cursor jumping all over the place when crossing objects. However; we now have very sluggish command line entry, 2 - 3 seconds after typing till it shows up, and cursors freezing when pressing the shift key for any reason.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to save a drawing file and give it the name of my desire using a single command, I don't want to issue "saveas" and then specify the name in the file name prompt. This problem is has been faced when I was using ScriptPro and I couldn't succeeded to do that. Hence I need to know if it is feasible to do the stuff using a single command. It will be preferred if I can choose the location to save the file also rather than save the file to the default location.

There is 4 GB memory on the computers and a Quadro 400 graphics card. Autocad and Windows 7 64-bit have both been updated to the latest versions. The Autocad application locks up almost every time someone chooses the new document icon, or when they try to 'save as'. Sometimes when they choose to open a new document first, close that dialogue box, then try to choose the new document icon it works ok. But, for the most part, the application is unuesable. Some possible solutions we found online that don't work are to not use the Aero themes (we don't) and to not use Norton AV (we don't).

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am unable to use the file command open, new etc. I click on open and nothing happens no file box opens. As soon as you do anything else the program says not responding and you have to close it down. I can click on an autocad file in windows explorer and bring up the file this way but as soon as you try any file command such as save as the program freezes again. I am running windows 7 professional and the autocad LT 2011 64 bit program.

But images are batching to desktop.

When I use the "pull down"menu and select a file format to "save as" The actual file format name is off by 1.
Example: In the pull down "format" menu the order of the formats is
Scitex (sct)TIF
Photoshop 1.0
When saving "test.psd" as a TIF file, the name in the "save as title box gets a .sct extension (Test.sct). In order to actually save as TIF file I need to select Photoshop 1.0 and the title will receive a tiff.
I have recently upgraded from CS4 to CS6. After editing a jpeg, I try the Save As command and recieve this message...."could not complete the Save As command because there is not enough memory RAM" I also notice that all my images are at 72 dpi, is this going to affect image quality? I shoot in the largest file possible when taking the photographs.

I have an action which applies Levels and Curves to my black and white TIFFs. At the end it "saves as" a JPEG. Originally it saved them at quality level 10 but I re-recorded the action to set the quality at 12. However, since this change the action keeps saving as into the folder where the image I used for the re-recording was located.

I can only save through the command bar. I cannot seem to change the save to folder using the command bar so I really need to get the window back.
