Photoshop :: 6 - 13.0.2 Regular Crashes?

have installed the latest PS Update and all my other software is kept uptodate. I am creating a logo here:[URL]...can reproduce this everytime just by changing fonts (scroll through lots of fonts first) or by applying brushes quickly

I was already having this problem with Max2012 and now it seems to be persisting in Max2013. I am basically getting regluar random crashes. There seems to be no one specific cause, I can be poly-editing, unwrapping even just renaming objects.
However the most common regular cause is simply clicking on the Max start icon on the top left of the screen, to open, save, import or whatever. When this happens as soon as I click on the icon Max closes, doesn't try to save the file and gives no error message. It seems to be more susceptible to doing this after Max has been idling for a while or the PC has been woken from sleep, but not ALWAYS.
My PC is relatively new, graphics cards are updated, motherboard etc. The only thing I haven't updated is the bios.Max SPs' also installed.

I installed CS4 because it seems I downloaded both the regular version AND the 64-bit version of CS4. I discovered this because I have both an Adobe Photoshop CS4 directory and an Adobe Photoshop CS4 (64 Bit) directory. Can I clean this up?? .... if it is not necessary, I'd like to free up the disk space.

I have a licensed copy of regular Ps CS6 but now see the following screen when opening Ps. It seems to want to open as Extended (which I have not licensed). This seems to have happened after updating Adobe Application Manager.

Since joining Photoshop CC I have been locked out on a regular basis. Each time, I am asked to sign in again and register, even though the registration page is fully filled out. This has happened three times in the last week. It isn't a matter of not paying the monthly fee...the payments show up in my account. Yet, each time, I get a message that my 'trial version' has expired. Except, I never downloaded the trial version. As I understand it, if you don't pay, you get a couple of months before you are locked out. Yet, here I am, fully paid up and locked out at least once a week. It's no big deal to sign in again but winter is coming and where I am, we regularly lose internet, sometimes for a week at a time. I also travel to remote corners of the globe. What am I supposed to do if this happens when I am cut off from the internet.

I want to use the burn tool for a special effect but I want to do it on a new layer, I've read all about making a new layer set to overlay mode with 50% grey but this produces a different effect than when I burn the backround layer.
When using burn>highlights>15% on skin colour I get a grey kind of burn which is perfect but it destroys the pixles but when using the non-destructive method I get dark red effect which is not what im looking for.
I'm not using the burn tool in the typical sense (to darken part of the picture) I use the highlight/midtone/shadows seperate to create a very specific special effect with the burn tool.

I am making some buttons to be used in a regular html setup. Well I have this problem that I dont know how to get around. I have star shapes that I want to be "buttons". Except when you go to click on them, the transparency part of the image is clickable also. How can I make it so the transparent 'box' around the image isnt clickable. I just want the star to be.

I am trying to create a circle that has torn, jagged looking edges but can't figure out how to do it. I thought I could apply a brush but they are greyed out. The brushed do work when I hit pen and draw a freeform circle but then the circle is not perfect.

I have both Photoshop CS3 and CS5 installed on a Windows 7 64-bit system. Photoshop CS5 has two Helvetica fonts: one TrueType and one Type 1. The TT version only offers italic and bold italic styles. The T1 font offers the full suite of bold, italic, bold italic (or oblique), and medium (or regular). This seems odd, but it's sufficient. Photoshop CS3, on the same computer, only offers me the Helvetica TT font, with just the two styles mentioned above. Why can't CS3 see the T1 Helvetica? Why does the TT Helvetica only show me two styles? In case it's relevant, I believe the Type 1 version is the only one I deliberately installed, and I recently upgraded to a 2010 version of the font made available by Adobe.

Roboto font (by Google) is installed on Windows 7 system, but the regular weight is missing in Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign (both CS6 and CC, and same issue in Windows 8).

All weights are installed properly, the only one not listed in adobe programs is Roboto-Regular.ttf.

I'm using Photoshop CS5 Extended 64bit (12.0.4) on Win7 Professional (64 bit) and recently have had an issue using my Cintiq 12WX tablet in that using the brush with the tablet (whether I'm using the tablet as the monitor, or my laptop as the monitor) causes Photoshop to crash, usually within the first 30 seconds of usage. This has become so regular that I expect it to crash and no longer can trust it to use, but at the same time I depend on its use to get work done, so an expedient solution is absolutely necessary.
Does not crash if I use brush with a mouse, but that's not exactly a solution either, as you can imagine. I have been using this tablet with this Photoshop for a long time without incident, and I can think of no changes to the system I've made in the period when this began happening.
All drivers for the Cintiq are current.The entirety of the crash report reads as follows:

Although I have found code that should allow me to convert 2dpolylines to regular polylines, I am having troubles implementing it. At first I got the eInvalid Input but have since fixed that. However, the error now is that there is no error. Autocad just seems to lock up but I can still switch to visual studio and look at my code. It as though Autocad thinks it is doing something but my code is not doing anything. I can scroll around.

I have Arial installed on my computer, and it works in all my other Adobe programs, but in Illustrator it does not come up in the drop down menu. I have all the other versions of it there (narrow, italic, bold etc..) just not regular!

Initially I had no problem doing this or in creating smart catalogs but recently I find that after importing and editing a set of new photos..I can not add them (or a picked subset) to a Catalog ?
I must have something dumb set now, because as I try to drag them from a folder or a single or set of photos from the selected grid view to the named Gatalog.. I get a black circle with a line thru it over the catalog name and the images can't be added to thevcatalog..
P.S,. I have the. Lr5 beta installed and its behaving the same way as Lr4.4 is now too

I'd like to take my rectangular photo image and crop it to a pentagon shape prior to printing. This must be a regular pentagon, each side equal length (variable) and each internal angle 108 degrees (strictly).

I have not done much isometric work for quite a few years now but i have a new company i am doing some freelance stuff for and the last in house person did all his drawings as isometrics. My problem is not working in isometric but when I switch to paper space..how do I convert those isometric drawings to regular 2d?...this might be basic stuff for some but like I said I haven't done this in quite some time.
They are using AutoCadLT 2005 & Building systems MEP...I usually use AutoCad 2000 at home.

I use Illustrator cc version 17.1.0 (32bit) on window 7 pro sp1. I have to install JasmineUPC font on window 7 already. It have Bold , Bold Italic, Italic and Regular fonts in system . I have to run llustrator it cannot find JasmineUPC Regular font .

In Inventor 2012 I could grab any part (except patterns of course) and move it anywhere into folders, out of folder, up down, wherever, till my hearts content. But in 2013 sometimes it lets me, sometimes it does not. Sometimes I select a group of parts and when I try to put them into a new folder it will place most of them in it tell me the others are not allowed to be moved? I must stress that these are NOT patterned parts, but stuff I have moved around for at least the last 2 versions of the software. Why in 2013 can I not do this as easily or at all in some cases? Is there a new check box checked by default I can't find? I have tried switching the browser between modeling and assembly view and sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.
It does this with both content center and non content center parts.

We recently installed Civil 3D on our computers. Some people started working in regular AutoCAD first rather than changing the workspace in Civil 3D. They have customized their ribbons. Is there a way we can copy those customizations and apply them to the 2D Drafting & Annotation workspace in Civil 3D?
