I have a licensed copy of regular Ps CS6 but now see the following screen when opening Ps. It seems to want to open as Extended (which I have not licensed). This seems to have happened after updating Adobe Application Manager.

I uninstalled and re-installed. I get the same problem. What do I do? What should I check? I am using Windows XP, Service Pack 3.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using CS4 Extended for 3+ years with no problem, and suddenly it is giving me the message, "Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended has experienced a problem and must close..." This also happens when I try to set Preferences. I'm using XP 5.1, SP3. I've installed the latest updates, but the Camera Raw 5.7 update fails to install.

When opened, PS CS6 generates a "Could not complete your request because of a program error" dialog. I click OK and the program runs. However, File>Automate>PhotoMerge generates Error 8800 with reference to Line: 1085 --> if ((app.systemInformation.search(/PhotomergeUI/) < 0
I delete the program, reload from Cloud and it runs OK until update the program via cloud services. Repeat above error sequence.
Photoshop keeps crashing when i open specific .psd files, but they'll open and function in Windows 7. I have Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium on a Power Mac G5 (4 x 2.5 GHz), 4.5GB memory. Running Version 10.4.11 OS X. It had been working for a long time, I'm not sure when it stopped opening as I do not use the program every day, but now I'm in need of it on a regular basis and the program doesn't open.
I get the following error message "The application Photoshop quit unexpectedly." I've reported it to Apple but have not received a response as of yet
Currently I am running PhotoShop extended CS5, 64bit. in which i have my fovorite plugins (Topaz, Nik and OneOne) running perfectly.
I have upgraded to Adobe Creative Cloud and installed PhotoShop extended CS6 using Adobe Application Manager as recommended. It didn't ask me if I wanted to upgrade or do a new install for PhotoShop. So now I CS6 running with no Plug-ins. I need my plugins! LOL.
I tried pointing to additional plugins in the CS6 preference to the CS5 plugin folder. Upon Launch it gave me a whole slew of error messages saying something cant load or launch C+ runtime error or what not. It does open up, but it only gives access to Nik and Topaz. OnOne doesn't show up under filters or extensions.
So, what are my options?
Just copy the plugins from CS5 to CS6?
I dont't want to reinstall all the plugins to CS6 if I don't have to as I've auto updated them over time to current versions online, so only have installation files for my original purchases.
I'm happy with the NX version, but if I want to upgrade to XT, how do I do it? I looked on the upgrade options for XT and upgrading from NX, is not there.

Since joining Photoshop CC I have been locked out on a regular basis. Each time, I am asked to sign in again and register, even though the registration page is fully filled out. This has happened three times in the last week. It isn't a matter of not paying the monthly fee...the payments show up in my account. Yet, each time, I get a message that my 'trial version' has expired. Except, I never downloaded the trial version. As I understand it, if you don't pay, you get a couple of months before you are locked out. Yet, here I am, fully paid up and locked out at least once a week. It's no big deal to sign in again but winter is coming and where I am, we regularly lose internet, sometimes for a week at a time. I also travel to remote corners of the globe. What am I supposed to do if this happens when I am cut off from the internet.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI want to use the burn tool for a special effect but I want to do it on a new layer, I've read all about making a new layer set to overlay mode with 50% grey but this produces a different effect than when I burn the backround layer.
When using burn>highlights>15% on skin colour I get a grey kind of burn which is perfect but it destroys the pixles but when using the non-destructive method I get dark red effect which is not what im looking for.
I'm not using the burn tool in the typical sense (to darken part of the picture) I use the highlight/midtone/shadows seperate to create a very specific special effect with the burn tool.
Does PS allow for scanning of negatives on a regular scanner, then processing them to digital positives? Scanner is Lexmark Prevail Pro 705

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have both Photoshop CS3 and CS5 installed on a Windows 7 64-bit system. Photoshop CS5 has two Helvetica fonts: one TrueType and one Type 1. The TT version only offers italic and bold italic styles. The T1 font offers the full suite of bold, italic, bold italic (or oblique), and medium (or regular). This seems odd, but it's sufficient. Photoshop CS3, on the same computer, only offers me the Helvetica TT font, with just the two styles mentioned above. Why can't CS3 see the T1 Helvetica? Why does the TT Helvetica only show me two styles? In case it's relevant, I believe the Type 1 version is the only one I deliberately installed, and I recently upgraded to a 2010 version of the font made available by Adobe.

I'm using Photoshop CS5 Extended 64bit (12.0.4) on Win7 Professional (64 bit) and recently have had an issue using my Cintiq 12WX tablet in that using the brush with the tablet (whether I'm using the tablet as the monitor, or my laptop as the monitor) causes Photoshop to crash, usually within the first 30 seconds of usage. This has become so regular that I expect it to crash and no longer can trust it to use, but at the same time I depend on its use to get work done, so an expedient solution is absolutely necessary.
Does not crash if I use brush with a mouse, but that's not exactly a solution either, as you can imagine. I have been using this tablet with this Photoshop for a long time without incident, and I can think of no changes to the system I've made in the period when this began happening.

way of opening images in CS2 where after opening they will appear in the middle of the CS screen rather then in the top left corner?
I can drag and maximize so they appear in the middle, but on reopening another image they default to the top left again, I would like them to always open in the middle?
Although I have found code that should allow me to convert 2dpolylines to regular polylines, I am having troubles implementing it. At first I got the eInvalid Input but have since fixed that. However, the error now is that there is no error. Autocad just seems to lock up but I can still switch to visual studio and look at my code. I must have something dumb set now, because as I try to drag them from a folder or a single or set of photos from the selected grid view to the named Gatalog.. I get a black circle with a line thru it over the catalog name and the images can't be added to thevcatalog..
P.S,. I have the. Lr5 beta installed and its behaving the same way as Lr4.4 is now too
