I uninstalled and re-installed. I get the same problem. What do I do? What should I check? I am using Windows XP, Service Pack 3.
I've been using CS4 Extended for 3+ years with no problem, and suddenly it is giving me the message, "Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended has experienced a problem and must close..." This also happens when I try to set Preferences. I'm using XP 5.1, SP3. I've installed the latest updates, but the Camera Raw 5.7 update fails to install.

When opened, PS CS6 generates a "Could not complete your request because of a program error" dialog. I click OK and the program runs. However, File>Automate>PhotoMerge generates Error 8800 with reference to Line: 1085 --> if ((app.systemInformation.search(/PhotomergeUI/) < 0
I delete the program, reload from Cloud and it runs OK until update the program via cloud services. Repeat above error sequence.
Photoshop keeps crashing when i open specific .psd files, but they'll open and function in Windows 7. I have Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium on a Power Mac G5 (4 x 2.5 GHz), 4.5GB memory. Running Version 10.4.11 OS X. It had been working for a long time, I'm not sure when it stopped opening as I do not use the program every day, but now I'm in need of it on a regular basis and the program doesn't open.
I get the following error message "The application Photoshop quit unexpectedly." I've reported it to Apple but have not received a response as of yet
Few days ago I upgraded my Photoshop to Cs6 extended. Every time when I want to open the Photoshop first I have error massage. (See screen shot), when I click OK the Photoshop loading normally. Numerous time I uninstalled the Photoshop and reinstalled, same issue.

All updates to Photoshop were installed last time I ran it with no problems.No new hardware has been installed since.Installed Classic Shell since last use, so I uninstalled it but the error persists.Installed Diet Tracker but they don't interfere with each on on the system at home so I know there's no problem there.Nothing else installed except Windows updates.I tried restoring back to the last time I used it still got the error, so undid the restore.I tried repairing Photoshop .no change.I uninstalled Photoshop, rebooted, installed Photoshop. it loaded slower then and the last thing I saw load was plugins then something about Python and then the error again.When I try to open the program, it goes so fast that I can't see what's loaded and where it stops now.
My computer had 37 viruses on it, and they got destroyed. This was a few days ago. Today, I click My photoshop cs5 extended and it gives me an error messege.Configuration Error uninstall and reinstall the product.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a legit copy o photoshopAlbeit I bouhgt it from ebay, but it is definitely legit - not pirated , but a mfr sealed professionally produced copy of CS3 extendedI popped it open and found what I expected the documentation the DVD case with the training video and the serial number on the back. I installed CS3 extended and plugged in my serial number and was greeted with a shiny green check mark (please note this is not just some generic photoshop liscence it is recognized by the software itself). Then I began the activation nightmare that I am currently having. I clicked activateActivate nowThen I got an error telling me to pease try activating by calling customer care.I did that I went through the automated system with m serial numberand activation key and then it said it was unable to process so I retried. Still no luck, then I got a live person on the phone. Here is what they told me:You do not have a valid serial number...Odd, I thought, since your software recognized it as a valid liscence. I'm afraid I didn't see in the liscence agreement where the agreement between provider and end user was limited by their distributorship. Thank you to me too for buyinga legitimate copy and not going with a free alternative (paint.net as been fine in the past thank you).So I continued the discussion until I finally asked for a supervisor who was slightly more willing to talk about a way we could resolve the activation problem. I am stuck getting the original reciept from the seller to prove to Adobe that their product was in fact original purchased from them. You have to be kidding???!!!?!?!It is unactivated so we aren't even talking about a liscence transfer this product is supposed to be registered to me. And that still doesn't answer the question of how the serial number is recognized by the software and installation (meaning the serial to DVD matches) and the customer service people claim it is not valid. I even asked them to tell me if it was a liscence used as a known pirated copy or something that should invalidate it, but all they can tell me is that it is not valid for the product. If that is the case why print it on the label and affix it to the software?On the other hand perhaps it is just a database error on their part. View 15 Replies View RelatedUnable to use 3D repousse Photoshop CS5 Extended (my system info is described below)I tried almost everything that is available in Adobe library, also re-installed programs as requested by Adobe support (suspected to get rid of me), it did not solve the problem.
I used to have 3D capabilities, and also crop tool worked well before (now it changes all layers when using crop even in background). My PC is same, nor I downloaded plugins or changed video cards (these things are too advanced for me!), also restored preferences many times.
My system makes automatic updates, reviewed graphics and adobe as recommended. OpenGL settings is odd …only can access basic, other modes are not highlighted (normal or advanced).

I uninstalled Photoshop CS5.1 ME (Middle Eastern) version from my 64bit operating system (Windows 7 Home Premium) and went on to install CS6 EXTENDED after a fresh restart (I also deleted remaining CS5 folders in "Program Files' Adobe directory"). The setup went fine. But, when it finished, it gave an error message saying that Adobe Photoshop CS6 didn't install or didn't install correctly. From there, I copied the error report/log it gave out:

Photoshop started fine and worked fine (only used it a bit) after the "failed" installation but, the Update option in the Help window was grayed out (trial version, just to let you know). Is that a limitation to the trial version? Or is it straight up an error?
My question is, what did the error report mean and what could be wrong with my currently installed version of PS? BTW, I didn't use Mini Bridge yet, although all of its files are present in the Program Files directory for Adobe.
When I try and open CS6 I keep getting a message with Error 213:19. How can I fix this?

Have restored PS preferences (hold down cmd+alt+shift while starting PS CC) , try to change default printer, try to uinstall ad reinstall PS CC with no success.
I get this error message upon startup:There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents. I can however print pictures with window's photo printing wizard so I know my printer is setup and selected.
