Photoshop :: Text In CS5 Extended With All Updates
May 16, 2012I'm creating a text portrait in Photoshop CS5 Extended 10.0.4 x86 with all updates installed, running Mac OS X 10.6.8. I'd like to be able to draw a path and use the text tool to add text on the path. However, there are so many text-on-a-path layers close to each other in this file that Photoshop tries to outsmart me. Instead of allowing me to enter text along a newly-created path, it jumps to another nearby text layer at random and starts editing that layer.
I can only make the type on a path tool work if I drag the newly created path away from all the other text areas, enter the text, and drag it back. But as the portrait increases in complexity it's almost impossible to find problem-free areas to drag these paths to, and it's very time-consuming.

Jun 21, 2013Notice on Adobe site indicates that update 13.0.5 is available for Photoshop cs6 Extended--non Cloud version. However when in the program itself using the update didn't show any updates for Photoshop CS6 only Illustrator cs6. And this update on the Adobe download site only appears to be available for the mac and not the pc.
So where is this update and what is the Adobe play to keep CS6 Suite of non-cloud products up-to-date.
Photoshop :: Extended Trial Version Launching After Updating CS Design Standard To Version 13.0.2?
Dec 14, 2012I installed the retina display-optimized update to my purchased (non-Creative Cloud) version of Photoshop Design Standard (via the Adobe Updater app that pops up in my menu bar only when updates are available), but now when Photoshop launches, I get Photoshop Extended (and it's a trial version). Is this a known issue? Will I need to reinstall Photoshop?

First question: I assume this was some sort of automatic update. How do I turn that off, so that I have control over whether or not I want to update?
Second question: How do I go back to the previous version? I can't find basic functions, because they've been moved.
I was trying to do a quick project, and to learn a whole new set up. I'm appalled to find that my program's been changed without giving me any choice in the matter, and then having to sign up on a list serve to fix the problem. Why not set up a forum, where we can subscribe to just the thread that's relevant to us?

Sep 25, 2012I recently graduated from ps3 extended to ps5 extended ( was very use to the ps3 version) . Now am having problems when working with multiple pics in the ps5 extended version. I am unable to float mult, pics and or be able to minimize them to pull up another.
I also need the screen mode with the menu bar at the top to be able to minimize etc and select different pic. This seem to be the Workspace default in ps3 extended and I was very use to that....with the ps5 it is def not the default and is set to standard screen mode ( from the top selections) and I keep having to go the the top and select full screen mode with menu bar to even have my tools....then select float multiple pics to have the options of minimizing or max?....

Mar 26, 2013I just recently (yesterday) became a member of the creative cloud. Now I am aware that my subscription (full individual subscription) allows me to use Photoshop CS6 Extended.
I previously had Photoshop CS6 Standard installed (my suspicion why it's not working properly) removed it and downloaded Photoshop via Application Manager, but it's still not the Extended version.
Also is there a way to keep the downloads because I'm constantly using photoshop at work (one of my main tools) and having to uninstalling and re downloading (which seems to take forever) is not the best solution.

Jun 3, 2009I downloaded and installed the CS4 trial version. It installed ok with no errors. CS4 runs ok. Except when I tried to open a JPG file. I got an exception error and the app aborted. When I ran CS4 again I was asked to enter the license key. There was no 'Trial' option displayed. And the menu header of the window said my trial version had expired. Hence I can no longer run it after less than one day.
