A .psd file with layers created in a full version of Photoshop CS6 does not show the layers in my CS6 Extended version. I am still using the trial version of Extended pending registration.

 I also need the screen mode with the menu bar at the top to be able to minimize etc and select different pic. This seem to be the Workspace default in ps3 extended and I was very use to that....with the ps5 it is def not the default and is set to standard screen mode ( from the top selections) and I keep having to go the the top and select full screen mode with menu bar to even have my tools....then select float multiple pics to have the options of minimizing or max?....

I previously had Photoshop CS6 Standard installed (my suspicion why it's not working properly) removed it and downloaded Photoshop via Application Manager, but it's still not the Extended version.

Also is there a way to keep the downloads because I'm constantly using photoshop at work (one of my main tools) and having to uninstalling and re downloading (which seems to take forever) is not the best solution.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm on Windows XP Pro with a Pentium4 2.8ghz, 2gb DDRAM, 256mb Sapphire Radeon graphics card. If I turn off layer visibility my image won't show the change. I have to click on another layer before it will redraw the image. If I make a levels adjustment level and drag a slider while holding alt to show clipping the screen will stay green and black, red and black, or blue and black depending on the channel I adjust until I click on another layer. 5mb JPG images take about 10 seconds to open, flattening the image takes another 5-8 seconds. When I start Photoshop all menu items are greyed out for some arbitrary amount of time yet I can do commands like open by doing the keyboard shortcut. If I could return this garbage to the store I would, and I'd go back to CS1

Used the whatever it is called downloader. After several hours and several attempts, it never finished and seemed to hang what I thought was near the end.So I chose to just do a straight download. After a couple of minutes, I have the Photoshop_12_1_LS1.dmg in my download folder. Moved it to the desktop. Tried to open. Gives me the following error: The following disk images couldn't be opened: Photoshop_12-1-LS1.dmg (reason) invalid checksum.
Ok got a new laptop, quad core and went to install the trial of Photoshop CS6 Extended and it will not boot into extended mode but rather the original Photoshop mode, and I know this by the splash screen with the circles and the fact there is no 3D menu. A friend did the same on his laptop (different hardware) and his booted into Photoshop CS6 Extended. We used the same Adobe Download Assistant to do our installs. My GPU is the ATI Radeon 6520G and it has support for both Open GL & Open CL. It appears in the Performance preferences with GPU checked and Open CL is selectable in advanced. Now my question is why can't I get into Extended Mode? Why can't we just force it to do so? I have seen this issue all over the place and it seems to be related mostly to ATI/AMD chipsets. I would like to try out the 3D options.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using PSE-11. I have been editing many pictures (cropping and enhancing) before I send them for printing. I select 6 or 8 images and send them all to the PSE-11 Editor. When I have done all the editing, I select CLOSE ALL and apply my answers to the first file to all of them. I want them to be in Version sets with the originals, and most of them are correct. However some images are stored, with the words 'edited-1' added, but they are not in Version sets, nor in the catalog. The Organizer tells me that it has found new files. Also, when saving some of the images, PSE-11 freezes and is shown as not responding for several minutes.

I have over 35000 images in my catalog.
I have been using CS4 Exteded and am having a problem with the layers/marquee. I create a duplicate layer-multiply it- then use the marquee to select an area in the center to delete (i.e. vignette) and am having a strange thing happen. I will delete the selected area in the top layer and am noticing a "line" on a side. It is obviously darker and is based on the size of the marqueed area...like it is not feathered enough to get to that area. I am feathering the top layer when I use the marquee but it is still happening.

I am running cs6 on both PC and Mac. On my pc if I save a Photoshop file on it as a save as, it does not open the file immediately. I have to close the original file, find the file then open it. Very time consuming and also confusing if you are working fast. On my Mac if i save a document in Photoshop, doing a save as, it saves the doc, and opens it right there and you just continue to work.
