I export signatures to .mov then convert them to swf to use as flash signatures..
is there any way to increase the animation time form 10 seconds to higher ?
I've been searching for an answer for a while now, and I still can't seem to make this work. I'm trying to make gifs. I'm using a Mac and I've already switched my CS5 to a 32-bit version, but the video is greyed out even though it's an mp4 and won't let me import the video.
I've looked through some tutorials, and everything should work. I'm have Quicktime version 10.2, so that should be the latest version?
Is there a way to load AVCHD videos (.mts or .m2ts) in Photoshop Extended CS4. Given premiere CS4 can read them I would hope PS does too, but when trying to load one, it says it is not the right kind of document.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI cannot import any video files into PS Extended (10.0.1) without a Photoshop crash. The crash is caused by quicktime.qts file. I have tried to re-install quicktime several times with no success. Every other Quicktime function seems to work well.
I have a newer Intel Quad PC with 2gb memory, 260GB of disk space and a nVidia Geforce 8800GTS video card.
I am trying to retouch two video files in Photoshop CS6 Extended for Mac OS X, and I cannot find the dynamic link media server. I never had this problem before. It says a component is missing.
I downloaded the update to the server and I even re-installed Photoshop Extended CS6. I have the Master Collection. I also have anti-virus software that I have turned off. It still does not work. Can family filters for my family be the cause of the server not being found?
I am having problem with my video timeline on my Photoshop CS6 Extended. The timeline shows frames instead of the normal video timeline, my timeline by default is completely different from what I have seen in CS6 Video Editing tutorials all over the internet.
Furthermore, I cant open or drag vidoes to the document, I have tried MPG, MP4, AVI and FLV video formats but it says, 'no parser or file format can open the file'.
I been using the CS6 extended 30 day trial, still have 13 days. left. I used to open the video frames for (gif) sas avi files with ease. All of a sudden I couldn't open any video frames anymore, why is that? They used to be opened with ease. Now when I clicked import video frames to layers it always comes back to the message 'cannot open video frames to layers because the file cannot be opened'. It all worked with the same file before so why didn't it work now?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to do my first timelapse video and am having problems rendering the video.I have Photoshop CS4 extended. When I try to find Window -> Workspace -> Motion I can't see 'motion'.
Then when I try to File->Export->Render Video I get the error message 'The procedure entry point CFWriteStreamGetTypeID could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreFoundation.dll After pressing 'ok' a few times I also get error message 'Theprocedure entry point CFPreferencesGetAPPBooleanValue could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreFoundation.dll
I then am taken to the render video dialogue box, but when I click render I get the error message 'Could not complete the render video command because invalid parameters were sent to a command'
I have Photoshop CS3 and for some reason i cannot open a video file inside of the photoshop here at my home, avi or mov.
I do believe its a new feature,
my video card is adequate for using the 3D feature in CS6 Extended? The 3D tools don't seem to work. I get the message below. Do I need an updated video card or driver?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been using CS4 Exteded and am having a problem with the layers/marquee. I create a duplicate layer-multiply it- then use the marquee to select an area in the center to delete (i.e. vignette) and am having a strange thing happen. I will delete the selected area in the top layer and am noticing a "line" on a side. It is obviously darker and is based on the size of the marqueed area...like it is not feathered enough to get to that area. I am feathering the top layer when I use the marquee but it is still happening.

I know that I can import the video frames to layers in CS3 and then create a mask on each frame, but there are thousands of frames - and when I render the video from the animation it is slow to run in quicktime. Even if I were able to edit each frame, it seems like there should be a better way.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using PS in a traditional animation capacity--drawing each frame of animation by hand on a seperate layer. I loved doing this in 5.5 and it worked wonderfully on my machine. There are a couple of problems for me with CS6 that perhaps
My main problem is that when i play back my animation (I prefer to use the clips/layers version as opposed to the "frame" version which is more limited in my opinion), the image quality is horrible. When I say "play back" I mean hitting the spacebar and playing it, not rendering it. This feature worked like a charm in CS5.5, but the quality is very low in CS6. The same thing happens when scrubbing with the play head--the image quality gets all blocky and pixelly looking. The funny thing is, when I stop playback or stop scrubbing through frames, the images go back to thier normal state.
When I first saw this happen, it reminded me of a low quality RAM preview in After Effects (for those of you who are familiar with After Effects)--which I thought would make sense, since AE offers a way to increase or descrease the quality of immediate playbacks (RAM Previews) depending on what you are testing in the playback and how much available RAM you have. But there is no way to adjust the playback quality in PS CS6--at least not one that I can find. I absoluately need playback to be 100% quality as it was in 5.5, otherwise this feature is completely useless to me.
Also--did they remove the "onion skinning" button from the Timeline window? That was so useful... That is such a useful button for anyone attempting traditional animation in this program--which it was wonderful for in CS5.5.
BTW--my current machine specs if that matters:

I recently downloaded cs5 and it won't download .mp4 files to layers. whenever i go to file > import > video frames to layers, the mp4 files are greyed out and i can only click on .avi files.
there is no high quality converter from mp4 to avi, so it's quite frustrating.
A .psd file with layers created in a full version of Photoshop CS6 does not show the layers in my CS6 Extended version. I am still using the trial version of Extended pending registration.

Just recently started getting the follwing error when opening any file up in Photoshop CS6 Extended. Running Windos 8, 64bit with 16GB of RAM and plenty of free disk space.

What I would like to know, is: How can I animate rotation of a layer? I want to rotate my layer at an angle and animate it. But when I rotate, the first animation frame is also rotated, resulting in NO animation between the frames.

View 6 Replies View RelatedA friend asked me to make an animated forum signature for him but their forum has a rule the sig size must be 650x200.
So i thought i would fit it in my own 650x200 signature and cutting everything outside that out using the wand tool on every layer (125) I made them visible cut out the outskirts and made it invisible again one by one , with the little eye next to the layer.
After u import Video frames to layers only the first one is visible , but in order to cut in a layer i needed to make it visible , and apperently after u make a layer visible its invisible in the saving (Save for Web option) After i was finished all i had left with was one layer that was visibile the other 5 seconds were just invisible
how to fix this , i ran into it a couple of times now its getting pretty annoying.

Okay so I've tried everything and even reinstalled my photoshop cs6 and it is still giving me some trouble when i want to make an animated gif from my video that is only 4 seconds long.
Anyway when i click on file and scroll down to import and scroll to the video frames to lay and the impot video to layers pops up and it shows my full video but the top part is black however you can see the video on the bottom half just the top part of the video is black. How can i go about fixing this problem ?
On CS5 and CS6, I've easily been able to make gifs, but now in my CS4 extended, there is no option under IMport to do video frames to layers. I also can not open ay gifs or get the animation toolbar.

The problem is that all of the layers are on top of each other and take up the whole length of time instead of each being one frame sequentially after each other. So, when I render or do a DPX sequence it is only one frame played for 6 seconds. There are 167 layers (frames) so I would rather not have to adjust each layer back one frame at a time.

When I select an avi file, the preview comes up blank. When it imports, every layer is black. This feature used to work perfectly, but now it won't work at all! The avi files play fine in Quicktime Player, for which I have the Perian add-on.
i am trying to make a gif but i try using import video frames to layers and each time it always say could not complete the video frames to layers command because QuickTime 7.1 or later is required. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and i also have QuickTime. Im using windows.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI rendered a PSD sequence from Cinema 4D to do some manual texturing, I added some object buffers to make it less painfull as it's going to be frame by frame.
When I open 1 single frame I can see my object buffers in the channels, when I open my sequence I just get R, G, B, RGB.
When importing a rather large file, it is taking the space up on my C: drive which is an SSD and doesn't have a ton of room. By chance, is there a way to change it, so that photoshop will use the space on my secondary drive instead?
