View 5 RepliesSome what new to Civil 3D, so I hope I explain this correctly..
I imported points with linework and then needed to move them slightly. I unlocked the points and moved them with no problems, but I then went to re-process linework which moves the points back to their original location. I have tried relocking the points first before re-processing linework, but then it appears that nothing has happened.
I imported 900 RAW images from my desktop into Lightroom, edited them, renamed the filename, and exported them into JPGs. Since I no longer needed the RAW images on my desktop I moved them over to an external hard drive. So now the images are still visible in my Lightroom catalog, but there is no photo to back it up since I moved the original files to the external hard drive. After realizing that I exported the images at 150 dpi instead of 300 dpi I need to re-export the images from lightroon at the proper resolution. But since I moved the originals to the external hard drive there is no photo to back it up in lightroom anymore. So I went to locate the files by clicking on the "?" but since I renamed the file when I exported them, the original filename on the external hard drive is now different from the filename in the catalog. Is the only solution to locate the file one by one? Is there any way I can do them all at once even though the original filename is different from the filename in my lightoom catalog? The original filename is still listed in the metadata, but since the originals are missing it can't change it back.

These iProperties were created and set using a custom macro but they are of course accessable via the standard iProperties dialog. I can change the values for these particular iProperties but as soon as I save the file they revert back to their original values. Same goes for trying to delete them. All other iProperties, custom and otherwise, seem to behave normally.
The sketch in this file originated with a 2D DXF file for a vendor supplied aluminum extrusion quite a few years back. The original file has been copied (save-as...) to about 20 different files over the years. The iProperties in question were added years after most of the files were created, Each file is exibiting the same problem. These files are used in a LOT of assemblies. The thought of recreating all these files from scratch and updating the assemblies is not very inviting.
No other IPT files seem to be having this issue.

Yet another issue I've found with Photoshop CC:When using the crop tool, it moves paths after confirming the crop. (crop from the left, paths are moved to the right). I'm on OSX 10.7, PS 14.0 x64
View 2 Replies View RelatedI accidentally included a file rename when I just imported a batch of several hundred pictures. I violated a rule that I teach my own Lightroom students, and that is to look carefully at the import panel choices before proceeding.
How can I correct this so that the files are named as they originally were? I know how to easily fix the filenames in Windows (using a tool called BulkRename, for example), but then I'd have to "find" each image one-by-one and correctly point to the renamed version. I tried selecting all the images and then using F2 to rename, but none of the templates allow deleting a portion of the filename.
P.S. Here is an example of what I mean:

I have a question about photoshop cs6 crop tool not classic i really like the not classic crop tool but i have a problem the classic crop tool if i drag it to left photoshop moves the crop to the left , and if i drag to the right it moves to the right but in the new version if i drag it to the left it moves to the right
ok ,it's just like lightroom i tried to get used to the new behavior with no luck is there a way , edit the registry or other way to change this behavior? i mean i really love the new crop feature , i would love to use it and drag the crop to left and see photoshop moves to the left just like every other version of photoshop
After I position a crop on an image it keeps moving up, to the top of the image, after I deselect the image. I did use the upright functionality at first but turn it of to do it manually. Maybe this feature has left some settings in the LR develop settings for this image. I could post some screenshots if that will work.
View 29 Replies View RelatedI created an assembly with a broken back subassembly. I moved it to a 40cm horizontal offset away from the axis. I attached it to a corridor using two polylines as targets. One for the broken back and one for the outside lane. In civil 2011 everything works fine.
In civil 2012 the ETW is offseted by the same value i moved the subassembly away from the axis! If i change the subassembly offset to eg 1m then when rebuilding corridor the ETW moves to 1m away from the target polyline!
Same strange behavior using subassembly R2011 or R2012.
See the attached dwg.
what can I do to avoid the annoying mouse cursor "delay" or "jumps" when I move it inside my project ?
I have one surface and 3 aligments....
I have tried turn off tooltips on general options but... yes I dont see tooltips but the mouse seems to investigate the objects below the cursor....
In adittion,. is there a variable to control this ?
Civil 3D (2013)
Since i updated PS (CS6) the last time it has this very strange behavior when i try to position a object via the Arrow Keys. When i hit a Button very fast (3 times) the object jumps back to its very first position where i started to move it.
When it is a new "feature" - where can i turn it off?
I prefer to use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+< for step backwards and SHIFT CTRL+> for step forwards in the Application Menus > Edit. After changing to these shortcuts I save them but each time I restart Photo-show they have changed back to their original settings. How can I stop this happening?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI remeber at one time I was able to convert a color image into black & white by reassing Control, Shift, U. Then there was another command that would allow be to add teh original colors back in where I wanted them, giving me a color and black & white image. I just cannot remeber how I did the second step.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a very large piece of artwork in my possession. The artwork was originally drawn in high-resolution on a computer, but a true digital copy of the original is not available to the public.
My copy of the artwork is large enough such that the original pixels can just barely be distinguished by the naked eye. I would like to scan it in at extremely high resolution, or take photos of it (multiple photos of various sections may be necessary for enough resolution). Afterwards, I am wondering if Photoshop, some available filter, or other image-processing program would be able to analyze this ultra-resolution scan and reconstruct a perfect copy of the original digital image?
The idea is that if I can see the original pixels with my eye, Photoshop should be able to likewise deduce all the original pixels of the original digital image, and reconstruct it as such via some algorithm, in the original resolution.
Sometimes it works. Lately it rarely does. I have tried holding the command key and this does nothing. Why can I not move objects anymore.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI encounter a problem, that i mistakenly change one block in a drawing(which i dont remember now) but it effects all the drawings which are using the same block and changed all of them.
Is it possible to change it all back to original. I dont remember how i did it in first place.
I opened up a file to use the same size to make another project...i saved the project instead of saving as to save the project as a different document. therefore the old project i made on that document disappeared i was hoping that there was a history panel or something i can go back to what the document was when i opened it..
I still have the document opened - never closed it since i opened it to do some other project.
- In photoshop i can just to history and clikc on the thumbnail to reset everything as it was before. I don't want to loose my layers from that older project.
I wanted to create a new calander for 2014, so I created a new catalog and started to import 25 images which were in my library in various folders. once I was done with the selections I could see that there are several catalogs set up from each folder of origin. if I click on library to get out of the "catalog" mode nothing happens. I can no longer see any of my library folders on the left panel, unless I try to import more images.
How do I delete or cancel this request to add a catalog and get back to my original library? also, in hind sight, I believe I wanted to add a "collection". please confirm the difference between a collection, smart collection and a catalog.
I switched to 43 bit mode in CS5 clicking the checkbox in the info. section. I want to switch back but the check box is no longer visible! Where did it go and how can I switch back?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to convert a pattern back to it's original form? I know that you can edit a pattern, once it has been created, but what about reverting back to the starting point?
I have a student who created a rather complex drawing and then converted it to a pattern, the design does not work well, because it is too elaborate, he has three different art pieces. A record, a jukebox and a piano. These are all great illustrations on their own, but do not make a good pattern. Is there a way to undo the pattern?
Old PC Windows XP with PSE8. New PC Windows 8 with PSE11.I did a backup and restore operation. After the restore, there was a large list of files that could not be restored. I also noticed that there were a large number of thumbnails with a question mark attached.
I did a reconnect using FindAll missing files. Instead of placing the recovered files in their original path and folder location, they ended up in an entirely different path in the Folders View. I tried to drag the folders back to their original location, but got the message: folder with that name already exists at the requested location, even though it wasn't visible. In addition some of the folders involved were no longer visible in either path structure.
I checked in the My Folders View, and it showed that the folders involved in the reconnect were still intact. I opened one or two and found they contained the original missing images. How can I get the folders and their images back to their correct places in the original path structure?
How do you get back to your original image after you have made adjustments, closed Lightroom, made more adjustments, closed Lightroom etc?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to revert back to the original colors of an xref besides having to reattach the xref and purging the DWG.
I always change the colors of the projects Existing site/utilty XREF to color 252 to shade it back to have the proposed show up darker. But I try to select all layers to change the colors back to what they were before and the box to set color by layer is not available.
Every time I create a new layer, name it, asign a color, linetype, etc...it defaults back to the original color, making me set it twice. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter hours of work, working on an Aircraft Repaint, I somehow managed to move the template so that all of the lines (in this case the 'livery lines') became out of 'sync' In other words the layers became out of line. Went to load it into my editor and every thing was all over the place
The Q is...is there a quick way to get the template/Canvas or whatever to revert back to it's original state. i.e. everything within there parameters?
Should be a simple question. Using Designer Pro X I load a PNG file. I then do nothing except "save as" also in PNG format.
My expectation was I would get the same file. Instead it seems to have changed the resolution and now looks terrible.
An ordinary graphic program like paint.net or photoshop would save the same file back to disk.
There must be something I am failing to understand about Xara. How do I edit a bitmap and have it save back in its original resolution?
Is there any way to dig through the discreet folders and possible find the new cursor icon and replace it with the old one? I found a flame artist who could change his batch and action nodes, If he could do this it shouldn't be to hard to change just the cursor, right?
