Apr 26, 2013Is there a quick way to revert an edited BOM back to the original quantities before they were edited?

View 2 RepliesAfter hours of work, working on an Aircraft Repaint, I somehow managed to move the template so that all of the lines (in this case the 'livery lines') became out of 'sync' In other words the layers became out of line. Went to load it into my editor and every thing was all over the place
The Q is...is there a quick way to get the template/Canvas or whatever to revert back to it's original state. i.e. everything within there parameters?
Almost every time I make changes to a photo and go to save them it reverts back to the original after I update the name.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn our drawing office we use Inventor in a mining materials handling environment. Our output is mainly structural drawings where we require a bill of materials as part of creating a drawing. Whenever I insert a BOM in the drawing environment I get this table which is labeled in a foreign language (it looks like an Eastern European language) and the format is not as per the standard Autodesk installation setup.
How do I either revert back to the standard setup or do a BOM setup from scratch?
We use IV 2013 Professional on Windows 7 64 bit.
Upon starting up 2012 MEP I was asked if I would like to convert hatches with too small a scale to solid so as to safe virtual memory. I turned this on, and now I'm noticing some runs of piping showing up as solid. I would rather not have this seemingly random solid hatch all over my drawings.
Is there a way to go revert the hatches to their original scale/patterns? I'd selected the temporary option, however whenever I open the file now it shows as shown in the picture.

I recently change the volume of a part thinking that it would change the actually size of it. It didn't effect the size at all and now I don't know what the actual volume of the part is anymore. How do I find out the part's actual volume?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the attached file there are two custom iProperties that cannot be perminantly updated nor deleted. The iProperties are "size" and "purch_qty". These iProperties were created and set using a custom macro but they are of course accessable via the standard iProperties dialog. I can change the values for these particular iProperties but as soon as I save the file they revert back to their original values. Same goes for trying to delete them. All other iProperties, custom and otherwise, seem to behave normally.
The sketch in this file originated with a 2D DXF file for a vendor supplied aluminum extrusion quite a few years back. The original file has been copied (save-as...) to about 20 different files over the years. The iProperties in question were added years after most of the files were created, Each file is exibiting the same problem. These files are used in a LOT of assemblies. The thought of recreating all these files from scratch and updating the assemblies is not very inviting.
No other IPT files seem to be having this issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Iphoto with PSE11 but when I save the edited (JPG) image it will not let me revert to the original image. If I select the saved photo with Iphoto it will only let me re-edit it with an external editor (PSE11). This works fine but I can't "Revert to Original" in PSE11. If I try to re-edit it with Iphoto which has the "Revert to Original" button I get the message "Photo edited in an external editor so can't be edited in Iphoto. Duplicate photo to edit in Iphoto". If I do this I still cannot get back to the original unedited picture.
There is an obvious way to get round this by duplicating the original image before doing any external editor editing but there must be an automatic way which I am missing.
I have a client that wishes to have the Revit 2014 file reverted back to 2013. I was told that I could send the 2014 file to Autodesk and they would be able to revert it back to 2013. Is this true?

If there is no feature I would like to request that in the next "upgrade" of CorelDraw. As it is now I am forced to use time consuming workarounds to complete my illustrations when they are ready for production.
What was the reason to get rid of the usual powerclipping such as it was in X5?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was given a pdf by a customer. It's not quite laied out well for print so I need to move around some items. Unfortunitly not all the items are moveable in Arobat X pro. So I figured I would make the edits in PS5. Everything works well except the color after I have edited the page in PS is darker and muddier. I have no access to the orignal raw file so I have to edit the PDF. Is there a way to make sure the edited pdf matches the original? I tried opening the selected page of the pdf in both RGB and CMYK mode. I am using acrobat x pro and Photoshop Cs5 on mac oc 10.6.8.

All I am trying to do is cut out small portions of a video just to get rid of the parts I don't want. However, when I use the multi-trim feature, it strips the original audio. I know it does this so you can create your own video and then overlay your own audio. However, all I want to do is just cut out a few portions of the video while retaining the original audio minus the parts I cut out (i.e. I don't want to have to overlay any audio for this project, I just want a simple way to cut a few parts out and be done).

View 1 Replies View RelatedExporting files to hard disk with the original item set for file type. dng file shows up on the exported directory as the cropped / edited photo and there is no sidecar file.
When I click on the history panel for this export panel, it brings the photo up in the non cropped version just as I would wish.
I did do an unclick on "embed fast load data" in preferences and then an update dng preview as the fix for the banding problems when viewing dng files in irfanview and picassa and that worked, but hope it did not create my problem described above.
I have many files which I created by making a copy of the original and editing it. I have the original file with no edit history. The copy which shows the results of the editing is marked as a missing file and the edit history is greyed out. Both file share the same name with the exception that one is a copy. Is there any way to re-link these files? When I try to search for the missing file and point to the original, it tells me that the file is already linked to a file and can't be linked to a second file.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter I edit photos in an external editor, my photo is moved from its original location in the folder, to a different one. The photo stays within the same folder but is moved to a new location within it. This is really annoying as I have a couple thousand photos from a trip to Europe I have been going through, and after my external editor closes and I am returned to LR, I have to find the photo which has been moved to some random spot so I can put it back to where it originally was. I want to keep my photos organized by location, so it really sucks when my photos from Turkey end up with my photos from Hungary. How I can stop this???

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a purchase component set that includes 2 identical pcs. i.e. part number xxx01(.iam) consists of part01(.ipt) and part01(.ipt). Typically I would place xxx01(.iam) into an upper level assembly, and get a BOM count of xxx01 QTY = 1. This works fine.
Now I have a similar component xxx02(.iam) that includes part02(.ipt) and part02(.ipt). With this component I use only half of the purchase component set in many instances. Therefore I would like to have the ability to place part02(.ipt) as a single part and have a BOM count of xxx02 QTY = 0.5.
The best solutions I have found is either to place xxx02(.iam) and manually override the BOM count to 0.5, which is error prone, and inevitably causes an issue each time.
Or I can set the Part Number of part02(.ipt) to be xxx02, and create a User Parameter in part02(.ipt) called BOM_QTY and set it to 0.5 ul and then set the Unit Quantity (using the BOM tab of the part file's Documents Settings) to use the User Parameter. The result of this is a BOM count of xxx02 QTY = 0.5ul.This method displays ul in the Parts List, which of course is an issue as well.
