The cursor on Elements has changed from an arrow to a fine orizontal bar with arrows at each end and is proving virtually unusable. How i can get the original white arrow back?
View 2 RepliesI'm not new to lightroom. In every photo I go in to edit with the tools (any of them/all of them) my cursor only appears as the tool along the edge of my workspace. Once I move the cursor into about a half inch (on the computer screen) into the workspace my cursor becomes an arrow again, not allowing me to edit except for on the edges. I mean, I can drag the portion of the picture into the area in the workspace that allows my cursor to function as a tool, but this is not easy nor is it preferable in any way.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm working in an image, and in other places, the cursor is a horizontal series of symbols rather than the pointer arrow I'm used to in PSE 6, 10 and 11. The left side of the symbols is where the cursor is at.
I don't know what this is about, and don't care. I want the pointer arrow I'm used to. I've looked in Preferences but see nothing that applies. How do I replace these hard to use and irritating horizontal symbols with the pointer arrow?
How do I get a double arrow pointer (cursor)to drag corners? I only get an icon with three hands and cannot change it in the Edit-cursor tools.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOld PC Windows XP with PSE8. New PC Windows 8 with PSE11.I did a backup and restore operation. After the restore, there was a large list of files that could not be restored. I also noticed that there were a large number of thumbnails with a question mark attached.
I did a reconnect using FindAll missing files. Instead of placing the recovered files in their original path and folder location, they ended up in an entirely different path in the Folders View. I tried to drag the folders back to their original location, but got the message: folder with that name already exists at the requested location, even though it wasn't visible. In addition some of the folders involved were no longer visible in either path structure.
I checked in the My Folders View, and it showed that the folders involved in the reconnect were still intact. I opened one or two and found they contained the original missing images.How can I get the folders and their images back to their correct places in the original path structure?

When I look at Windows folders my system is as it was so the two don't match any more. i don't have a normal cursor, which in my case is an arrow. instead i have what looks like three tiny hands in a row. this makes it very difficult to be accurate when cropping, or tilting. i uninstalled and reinstalled, to no avail. i'm using cs4 extended

Some of the leaders on my drawing somehow changed so that the arrowheads do not show. When I began working on the drawing, the arrowheads were fine, but while I have been working on the drawing, all of a sudden these leaders changed this property.
The properties manager lists these problem leaders as "line with no arrow." Although there is a drop-down menu to choose things like "line with arrow," the "no arrow" option does not change when I pick anything else.
I have a problem with the cursor in 3DS max 2014. I am using windows 8 and when i hover over the empty spaces in the menus on the right, the cursor flickers between the arrow an the hand.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Bamboo Pen tablet to use with GIMP and have been installing under Windows (XP).
The tablet installs fine, is recognised by GIMP and I can draw with the stylus. Excellent. The only problem is that the cursor/arrow is missing which means that I can draw things but I only know where the stylus is when I start to write/draw.
I am hoping that this is a simple settings issue but how to make the cursor/arrow visible?

I am a beginner and I think some thing is turned off but the do not know what, because you need this spacial cursor on screen to change values in the channel box but my own is not showing up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI created a file from revit, imported in 3ds max and created animated cameras. I needed to change location in my 3d space of every element so in order to do that I had to group the objects of the scene, rotating and moving them from point A to point B, cameras included.
The problem now is that, if I ungroup my cameras their original movement has changed. I need to keep the original path and I'm trying to avoid rebuilding the cameras. Is there a way to do that?
I have been using autocad for many years but have never experienced this situation before. I have received a simple Electrical layout file from a consultant, after opening this file my settings in AutoCAD changed, for examples the snap angle to the cursor changed to 337.18 degree, the selection box (pick box) went to maximum and a few other settings also changed. I had to manually go back to the options and change some of the settings back to what I normally have which is very much similar to default settings. But I could not change everything back to normal. I had AutoCAD 2010 and later installed 2012 to see if it would fix the problems. What surprised me is that when install fresh AutoCAD 2012, the default settings is now changed to the settings that has changed in my previous AutoCAD.I would like to change the settings back to normal.
View 9 Replies View RelatedTwo pictures keep coming up in a Smart Collection I created to see which images' metadata need to be saved after adjustments.
I select the two, save and after a few seconds they populate the Smart Collection again. Clicking the "Metadata needs to be updated"-icon of the selected files also doesn't work.
This is what I see:
I tell LR to save the changes:
And think all is OK:
But in no time I'm back with where I started; the same two images in the collection.
Going to the folder in the library and saving doesn't work either.
What can be wrong with these two pictures? The Metadata list shows all correct info, caption and keywords, just the Metadata Status shows there's a conflict. Choosing "Resolve conflict" gives the same results as all I tried before.
I noticed that if i draw a very short line (about 10 pixels or less) then cursor shifts back to starting point.
Tested on systems an drivers:
Mac OS X 10.6.4 or 10.7.4
Driver 6.3.0 or 6.3.3-3
Photoshop CS 5 (12.0.4)
Photoshop CS 5.5 (12.1)
Mac OS X 10.8.2, Driver 6.3.3-3 and Photoshop 6 (13.0.1) - same problem.
I have three Intuos 5 tablets for now and all have this bug so this is not a hardware problem i think. Corel Painter 12 - all good.
I prefer to use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+< for step backwards and SHIFT CTRL+> for step forwards in the Application Menus > Edit. After changing to these shortcuts I save them but each time I restart Photo-show they have changed back to their original settings. How can I stop this happening?

Everything worked just fine until suddenly, in model tab, every new dimension i wanted to draw, looked like this (see .jpg attatchment). I didnt modify anything. Just changed to layout tab for a moment and then back to model. When i changed the text height into 10x bigger just to see the difference, the white dimension line just got wider and thats it.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi've been plaing with my CUI and found there were a lot more visual styles than i thought so added a few to the dashboard to try out. trouble is, a few have similar names and the same icon and now my realistic that i liked is not available.
now it's kinda semi-transparent.... before it was totally opaque. the same with my 'conceptual'...i can see far too much geometry.
btw i don't have a personal CUI or whatever the procedure is....i just modify the main one when inclined.
i've made a toolabr with ALL the listed visual styles on it and gone through them all but none of them gets it back to the opaque version.
^^^ this is in model space only. viewing from paper space it's the same as it always was.
