I have a Round Image that i want to print, however when i go to print, its too large so i fit to page, but when i do this the image goes a oval shape.
I want to keep the image as large as possible so i don't want to print on a smaller scale .
I have just started using paintnet and when i tried to print it will only print in blackand white even when the photo is colour. The print preview shows the image in B&W. How do i get to print in colour?
View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen i draw a circle in corel draw, i set the height and width dimension to equal, so it should become a circle, but it end up in the monitor screen an oval shape, also i notice the y axis and x axis in the corel draw is not equal. so i check my artcut y and x axis, is also same as corel draw. But when i cut out the shape, it cut out a circle shape. isit due to monitor or other setting.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have gotten to a point where I have the round text,, I have a seal with a blank space.. I would like to put the round text into the blank space,, but when I try, and no matter how I try,, the text is a white square with round text on it when I try to place it in the circle.
The other thought that came to me,, what if ..(the text circle size was a guess) the text does not fit.. how do I expand or collape it? I know I have in the pass while playing with round text.. gone back to that effect and changed angles, start points etc.. is that the only way?
I have attached what I have so far. ( I tried to attach the Paint.net file but I guess you can't, so these are the two I am working on,, as layers in Paint.net)
I am using CS2. when I print with preview and choose "any" icc profile, I see an off color image. This off color image is printed off color and not what I originally had. It is approximately 1/2 to one stop density lighter (and redder) and the shadows are cyan/blue, instead of neutral black.
If I choose Adobe RGB as the profile and print, the image is close but not correct. This is happening with CS2 and elements 6.
Of course the r1800 is set for ICM and off - no color adjustment.
I have down loaded new profiles, reinstalled my epson r1800, checked for missing files in CS2.
I am running windows XP Home, 2gig memory, dell xps. I have been using this system for over two years without a problem until now.
when i resize an image for example to 27 x 18 cm there is no problem however, when i try and print the image and the preview window comes up there seems to only be a tiny part of the picture visible? its basicly a tiny square in the top left corner of the preview page and its just big enough to see its a minute part of the image i want to print. If i try and print the image anyway i just get "could not start print job".I never had any issues before then suddenly a few weeks ago the problem happened in version x2 on any pictures i tried to resize and print , so i updated to x3 in the hope it would correct the error but its still there. Any setting somewhere , i tried using a trial version of a rival program and that worked fine and showed the print preview exactly how it should.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI tweaked an image in Develop and printed some 5x7s until I got it right and then went to 13x19 (first time ever using that size with my R3000). The print preview and the print were way too red. I went back to a 5x7 and it was way red as well in print preview, so I didn't print. I replaced a light magenta cart that I think ran out during the 13x19 print, and then some others that were low, and did a nozzle check and that was okay. I have spent hours looking around all of the settings (sRGB) and can find nothing that would explain what changed between my last good 5x7 print and the red 13x19. I went back to earlier versions and had the same problem. Monitor is due for recalibration, but that probably has nothing to do with it since it changed so suddenly.

No matter where or how I change the settings, the Print Preview window shows my image has been cut off on the right hand and bottom edges. View 11 Replies View Relatedi have just downloaded a trial version of Paint Shop Pro X6 because I'm looking for a program that will go a good job on oval vignettes with soft (feathered) edges.
I can open the program and select a picture from my files. Through the videos I learned how to identify some of the PSP X6 tools. I click on the Ellipse tool on the lower left in the tool bar. Then it gets weird. Sometimes I'll make an ellipse on the photo and the ellipse outline stays there. Sometimes when I do this an oval is created. Every time an oval is created my picture is the background, and the part of the picture I want is white. It's like it's doing it backwards. I've seen the tutorials about selecting INVERT, but I've had no luck whatsoever with that.
This should be a very simple process, but I'm totally mystified how it works. I used to run a very simple program years ago that Microsoft put out called PictureIt. I really liked that program but it's outdated now and it won't work on the Windows 7 64 bit I'm using. I have tried several programs and Paint Shop Pro X6 seems to be the closest to Pictureit that I can find, but I'm expecting PSP X6 to be more advanced, precise, and better overall. In PictureIt I'd do the exact steps I just mentioned and the area I selected would be the oval picture, the rest was white, and then I feathered the edges. In PSP X6 it's mostly like that, but it's reversed. The picture I want is the background.
Is it possible to set up a view in CPaintX5 with identical 'live' versions of an entire image or even just an object with the purpose of being able to work on either version with them set at different zoom levels, for example a 'wide shot' and a 'big close up'. I seem to recall that older versions of PSP had this facility as standard in a toggled pair of floating tabs called Preview and Image Info or some such. (I haven't used PSP for years so I might well be remembering incorrectly). It feels like it should be such a simple thing to do but it is eluding me. Of course it would be of most use as a standard feature of the Cut Out Lab but alas, no.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently gotten into the craze of writing an ebook for the Amazon Kindle and decided to design my own ebook cover. The biggest problem I've come upon is the shrinkage of the image for preview purposes when people are browsing the Kindle selection.
The original size of my image is 2000 x 1200 (the recommended 1 to .6 ratio for Kindle covers). The book looks great in the original size, but when shrunk down to about 100 x 60, the text becomes pixelated. I've tried the various font styles (mostly sticking to the sans-serif), but all have the pixelated look. I use the built-in text tool for paint.net. I tried making the text as larger as possible across the book cover, but the text still looks pixelated.
Is there a plugin for text that is used for ebook covers to 'merge' them into the cover images to blend in more and not look so sharp?

So I am working on this document and it has silver background. I go to print preview (Photoshop cs3 and cs4 on Vista) and I get color looking more like bronze looking but when I do print, it comes out just like it should (in working mode which is Monitor RGB with Proof colors checked).
This setting is the only one I've used to make sure image/psd looks exactly like what it should when printing. I tried the default Working CMYK with and without Proof colors but it's still showing me the bronze look instead of silver. I've looked on the net and no exact easy fix for this was found. I really really appreciate any help.
Another simple question is regarding size. I'm working on a document size of 17.5 x 8.7 inches and the actual Banners will be printed at size 175 x 87 inches (5 banners each at 35inch wide but combined into a big one). So essentially, I'm working at 10% the size of what the final print will be and my file size is 760mgs. You can only imagine how big the file would be if I work on the actual size.
I can't seem to click and drag an image with the mouse when using Full Screen Preview under the Edit Tab.
I see the hand icon and the scroll bars when the whole image can't fit on the screen but when I left click it's like I hit the Esc button.
Clicking the scrollbars will work but isn't as convenient. Under the Manage tab it works correctly. I have reset the workspace with no luck.
I use this feature a lot and would like to know if others have this problem.
The problem existed in X5 SP2 and now X5 SP3.
i have an image on my workspace. its a rectangular image. Now, I want to crop an oval out of it. So everything else around it will dissapear. How do i do this? I was thinking the CUT tool, but that only cuts from point to point.

I then bucket fill the circle/oval with a green color. How do I knock the rest of the white corners out of the image? I only want to green oval to be the final jpg.

But when I go to print preview all the lines are very thick, making the detail of the drawing difficult to see. I've tried manually changing the lineweights but it has no effect on some of the layers. Is there an easier way to fix this other than recreating layers?

View 6 Replies View RelatedA feature notably absent from the Oil Paint filter is any way to temporarily disable the effect (e.g., not preview it).I happen to like using Oil Paint to make refllections in the surface of water smoother and more "liquid" (which involves turning off the "Shine"), and it would really be nice if I could easily gauge the amount of the effect easily by blinking back and forth between original and processed image with a quick "disable preview" functionality.
With most standard filters, one can either uncheck a [ ] Preview box, and/or click the mouse button down on the image to temporarily show what the image is like without the effect.Yes, I know I can turn the Stylization down to 0.1 and see how a very minimal amount of the effect can be applied. And I can look at the original image in Photoshop proper, but of course that can't be zoomed while the Oil Paint filter is active.

I personally would want it set to Zoom by default, not Pan. Since the filter has scroll bars (a Good Thing), I would have thought Zoom would have been a better default as it is. I have implemented these things in my own GPU-accelerated plug-ins, so I know that all the infrastructure Adobe needs to support them is already in there. I'm trying to get an image from my "Print Screen" function. I know it's saving to the "clipboard" because I can get the text to show up on a Microsoft Word Document, but not the various colors. The Print Screen is save from the "Command Prompt" Screen where I have code displayed for a program I'm working on.
