Observing real shoes, I noticed that when an area is going away to background, it does not only gets darker, but also loses a bit of its saturation and contrast. So my doubt is how to make a gradient loss of saturation and contrast. Maybe it could be done both with brushes or blending options (which I already use for shadows),

View 6 Replies View RelatedI imported trees using Civil View which are images projected on planes. I was wondering if its possible to get the shadows more realistic? It currently displays the plane shadows which are 2 planes crossed in the shape of an "X". I also noticed on others' systems their tree objects are more 3d and not images draped on planes. Is this due to graphics card?

This is my draft postcard for my piggy banks and I think they look great in this background. Problem: I would like to make them sit on the piles of coins realistically, i.e. some good shadow must be added.
Unfortunately drop shadow option did not help... still looks superficial. I added a bit of blur effect on piggies which are behind the picture. Still, they don't seem to fit into the picture well.

The cutter requires the use of Adobe Illustrator, so I downloaded the trial before shelling out money from our budget. Now, we used to use this absolutely unimaginably broken piece of software called SignGo, which allowed the creation of 3d shadows rather easily, actually. All our buses have our company name with a 3d shadow behind them, and the owner does not want to change how this looks:
[URL] ...
It's damn close to what I want, but as you can see, there are little extra cuts that the vinyl cutter will make, ruining the shadow. Is there any way I can either force AI to not draw those points which should be masked, or to edit the shadow manually?
Was wondering if there are some ways in converting a highly realistic rendering of an object generated in a 3D program into a more illustrative, simplified, alittle less realistic version in Photoshop?
The object has plenty of silver reflections, HDRI environment map reflections, precise shadows and highlights, etc. I just want to make it look more generic and not as polished I guess.
Are there filters or plugins that will do this in a plug in play method or is it more prodedural and manual?
I am totally NEW to paint.net- but I am attempting to replace a macromedia fireworks drop shadow effect- I am familiar with FW and photoshop "ish" but not paint.net.
Yes I have d/l the plug in and I see the option for drop shadow- but it doesn't seem to apply to the object- yes I have created another layer...what am I missing?
I would like the image to appear as it did before - [URL] ..... with a variable width and variable gradient shade of black/ grey. Also if I can create an animated gif in paint.net- as is shown here: [URL] .....
I am brand spanking new to Paint and completely lost! I was referred here when asking how to edit an image I took. I took and image of a shoe on an all white background. However, there are shadows and you can see the seams in the background. I would like to brighten the white and remove shadows so that the shoe image looks professional. I tried uploading the image but it would not allow it........i will attempt again
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy question is this - can I put a mirror-like overlay on my subjects eyes without taking away anything from the color and character of my subject? I tried with the wavy mirror effect but it didn't turn out. I am trying to turn this actor into a very scary yet sexy vampire ( I'm trying for something a little different). I know I need to do a lot of touching-up but am not sure as to what is the best technique. I did lighten his skin using the "colored eye" technique...I think I need to lighten it up more.
Another question - How do I get a realistic blood spatter look (wet liquid look)?
