i selected a texture to use for a wall and painted it on my model, regardless of what i do the texture comes out a LOT darker than the actual texture. How can i change this? i have trys on variouse models and its all the same comes out a lot darker.

When I use the standard mudbox base head, no issues. It paints as it should. When I open my sculpted mesh portrait, same workflow and it gives me much darker image as the video shows.

I watched a video: [URL]...... and the person paint in UV view at times. I can not figure out how to do this. How they are painting in the UV View? It would be great for fixing little oversprays like they used it for.
View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery time I export a scene from Max, and then use the paint tools, mudbox crashes, literally every single time. I can quite happily use the scuplt tools.
I can also quite happlily use the paint tools as long as mudbox is not connected to 3DS Max.
I have applied both SP1 and SP2 for Mudbox 2012, and max is SP'd aswell.
I've got a good machine, Dell M6500, 12gb RAM, 1gb ATI Gcard, Win7
All i see is maximum 4k when you creating new paint layer. Can we somehow paint & output 8k maps ... ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen im doing artwork in photoshop everything works fine up until I get to the point when I need to use really dark colors. Like different colors of black. When I get to this point the dark colors dont Blend well, they look like theyre displaying only a few shades of grey as opposed to many that would work for it blend better. I tried resetting my preferences and it did nothing. Im using Windows 7, Photoshop CS5.

I know this because i have the background color for this mode set to something other than the background color for 2D model space. But now i can't get out of 3d parallel projection mode.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just ran into a projection issue with a couple of AutoCAD files. There is a possibility that one of the files was originally in Microstation and in meters before it was converted to AutoCAD but I'm still trying to confirm this now. The problem that I am running into is that AutoCAD Map doesn't allow you to xref or attach other CAD files and use different projections. I have one file in Maryland State Plane, Feet and a second one which appears to be in Meters and I can't get them to overlay or for the file in meters to come in at the right location when it is xrefed.

My profile is a separate dwg with plan view xref'd and surface a data shortcut. Of course there are feature lines and Survey Figures in the existing top I want to project into the profile, but can't because it is an xref. Besides copying .
if i have one feature line i want to project to all sections in a sample line group it would seem you should be able to pick the one line and assign in a label style and you would be done quick and easy. instead if you pick the multiple projection option you get this percentage distance box and it tend to grab stuff you don't want.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWe use Acad map 3d 2012 & civil 3d 2012. We also use Arcgis10.2 and have not seen this problem until one of our contractors (using map 3d 2013) sent us his drawings. When we bring in the map 2013 drawing Arcgis does not recognize the projection assigned to the drawing and our data ends up thousands of kilometres off in the distance. Am I missing something...it always works fine for 2012 drawings.

I have a steep (3:1) feature line that I need to project at a specific slope (2.5:1)to intersect a surface model. When I create the grading object the generated grading object is not 3:1 along the feature line and 2.5:1 perpendicular to the feature line. Instead I am left with a new slope that is 1.9:1 between the generated contours. I have attempted slope to surface as well as slope for a distance.My design criteria is to not exceed a 2.5:1 tie-in slope.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have drawn a 2D sketch (of a wind turbine) and I found it easier to just rotate the drawings of the blades out of the plane of the drawing to get something that looks like an isometric view. So now some parts of my drawing are in plane, and other parts are turned out of plane by like 35 degrees, so looking at it from the top it looks like an isometric view of the turbine.
However, now I have a task to have the same drawing but with gradient filling in the turbine itself as well as the air and water in the background. The easiest way to do this would be to somehow get a 2D projection drawing of what I see when I look at the plane from the top. (see attached picture)
So what I need is to get what is called "Top View" in the picture with all lines being in-plane from the out-of-plane drawing shown on the right.
I need to solve the following problem:
1) make a projection of 2d image to the umbrella
2) get the umbrella template (8 sectors) for printing
the only mention regarding this problem I found in [URL].... this problem is very similar to mine
I've designed a flat pack chair in model space...now I'd like to print all the various bits of this chair so that I can transfer the measurements easily onto a plywood board (to build the chair from scratch). I don't have a plotter, but my Canon MP610 can print in poster mode where large drawings can be printed onto a grid of several A4's - e.g. 16 sheets of A4's arranged on a grid 4x4 - enough to print the biggest part of the chair scaled 1:1.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI found this image in a textbook and it's supposed to be a three view first angle projection of the boat. It looks like main view is a plan view (top).
What confuses me about this is that the left view, looks like it's of the left side. But only third angle projections order views this way (left view being of the left side, top view being of the top, right view being of the right). So is this picture a first angle projection or a third angle? Or is it all together wrong?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a 3d model and I'm creating ortho views by using the solid profile command. Which is nothing out of the normal, but the projection lines comming off my 2d image is.
Is there any way to get rid of the projection lines?
the image above is a piping layout with two 45 degrees elbows. i drew the side view, then the the top view
now one of the 45 degrees elbow is replaced by a 90 degrees elbow. i don't how to draw this because the 90 degrees elbow rotate 45 degrees from the horizon.
i am located in Greece and the current progection is GGRS87 .
before the GGRS87 we had a system named HATT with the folowing info:
maps 1/5000 based on the Bessel ellipsoid (1841)
i have many drawings with point coordinates in the old system. is there a way to transform them in the new projection?
what else info is needed for the transformation.
I wish to display an Assembly as a Drawing.
However when the Base view is created it also displays surface geomerty created for referencing.
I attach a PDF which shows this.
Even though these are hidden in the respective Part files, they keep showing up in the Drawing and I cannot find a way to hide them. How to stop this from happening? BTW I am using Inventor 2013.
