Im trying to print 4x6. In the print module there are 4 margins. Each defaults to 0.13 in. This creates a white border. It does not let me slide these to zero.
I have it cropped correctly (4x6 aspect) and have zoom to fill checked.
I print using Lr 3.6 and seem to never get on paper what Lr shows on screen. A case in point is that if I print with no (zero) borders specified in the Layout section of the Print module I get a print which is identical to the one I obtain when I set the left and right borders to non-zero values (e.g. 2mm). This is even though Lr's screen does show no borders in the first case and the expected borders in the second case.
I use large sheets of paper in my printer and typically want to print several photos on one sheet. In order to use the entire 19" length of the paper I select "borderless" printing in the printer options of my Epson Stylus Photo R3000 printer. For example, I create a template with five 5x7 photos and two 4x6 photos on one 13x19 sheet of paper. I then want each cell to have a border of 7 pts. I set this in the appropriate print option in Lightroom. I select each photo and drop it onto the appropriate cell. When I print this selection, Lightroom fails to preserve the 7pt borders of the various cells that lie on the outside edges of the paper. It preserves the 7 pt borders everywhere else. This occurs for any possible expansion setting I choose under the 'borderless' selection.
Conversely, if I do not select 'borderless' printing I get double width borders around the outside edges of the paper, single width borders on the interior edges, and therefor I cannot fit the last two 4x6 prints on the paper.
Is this a bug or is there a combination of settings which will give me what I want.
I have an Epson R3000 and have just started using CS6 every print is coming out slightly reduced with a white boarder,The bleed is at 0.00 and so is the border. I have the printer setting as paper size the same as output paper size. How do I get a print covering the whole area with no border.
I have an image which i have placed on an A4 document. I have sized it so that I can have it twice on the page, so when i print it i can cut it in half and have two small 'fliers'. I do not understand how to arrange the 'bleed' or 'borders' for printing.
I have a large project (shirt block pattern) that I need to print as a poster, I'm wondering if there's any way to add a border around each tile when printing, since I can't print to the edges of the paper it would save me having to draw in each border before cutting (to ensure I don't cut the edge crookedly).
I want to add plain white 300 pixel borders to some photos without losing any of the image, so I'm using canvas resize in Elements one at a time, then back to Lightroom for the next, etc. Is there any way I can expedite this, by making some kind of preset or something?
Does the Photoshop Edge FX program really only work with CS4, or will it work with LR5 or PsCC? If it won't work is there another easy option for adding borders?
i have already exported a LR3 slide with borders. however, there is a Lightroom identity plate in the upper left corner. have been able to remove the identity plate but all subsequent exports have been without borders. don't remember how i initially did it. now i can't create borders even with the identity plate. i did read that borders can be created in the print module but that does not explain how i was able to do it in the slide module.
I have been having problems with uneven stroke borders on my images. If I select say, a 2px border, three sides of my image will have a 2px border while one side will have what appears to be a 4px border. Is this a known LR problem, or is it printer driver related ? Using LR 2.2 and printing on an Epson 3800, latest driver.
How do I convert the colour profile of a Lightroom custom printing package from Adobe Prophoto to sRGB before printing? For that matter, how do I save the thing? I have no interest in saving the template, or the collection separately, since neither has any use without the other. And without saving them as one finished item, I have no way to convert the colour profile of that item. I can see clearly from the appearance of the print preview that the above mentioned colour profile conversion is required.
Is there a way to export images with borders (like the slideshow layout) and metadata caption (iptc/exif). I'm using a plug-in Mogrify now, but this way I have to export every photo twice (first to create borders, then to add the metadata). photo below is exported with the Mogrify plug-in.
It would be awsome to export photos like the gallery layout since most lightboxes have only 1 line of caption and no design/edit options. This would save heaps of time.
I have been using Adobe Lightroom for several years - no problems. Recently I installed LR 5 on my imac running OS 10.8. Two days ago I was able to print files. Suddenly Lightroom 5 crashed as it exceutes the print script. Have re-installed LR5 sereral times. I appear to be able to carry out all LR functions APART from printing. Is this an LR problem or in incompatability with OS 10.8 or somefrom of iMac issue - Swap etc.
LR 4.4 on a Mac 10.6.8 I'd like to print a couple of 5x7's on 8 1/2 x 11 paper using CUSTOM PACKAGE. Is there a way to 2 print images that are in different folders at the same time using this scenario?
I'm printing from Lightroom and Photoshop (Creative Cloud) and consistently getting images off center (top to bottom). The layout in the LR print module is set to 1" margins on all four sides, but there is only a very narrow margin appearing on the top of the print. How do I get the margins to be uniform?
I am printing to Epson R3000 with LR managing the colour management. I can't get the borders to zero in the print module and have a small boarder of a few millimetres on a one cell print.
I'm trying to print a 13 page contact sheet from LTR 5. The program crashes. I can print the same sheets from LTR 4. It takes a lot longer to render in 5 than 4 as well.
In the print Module. I tell it to Print ie: a 5x7 on a 8x10 piece of paper it prints out, again ie: 5.125 x 10.125. and the cell size I tell it should be as stated. but it isnt.
I like to print 12 x 18 on 13 x 19 but a3 13 x 19 allows only 12.95 width. If I select my custom template 13 x 19 with .5 border it tells me i must use front loading, occasionally it has let me but most of the time i must print 11.95 x 18 making photos a little off center?
I am unable to perfectly center because print driver on canon pixma pro mk2 gives only a3 13 x 19 with a border, yet it takes 13 x 19 with driver setting.
I'm selecting a page size (A3 UK size sheet feeder retain size) but having difficulty getting my image to fit onto the page at the size spec shown on my screen.
I am wondering if a print preview / scale to fit exists in LR4 as it's not supported by the Epson 3800 driver.
If I apply copyright metadata to a client's purchased images will this in any way affect their ability to get the files printed (pro-lab or with public-lab) or print them themselves?
Is there a way to print the filename of an image during printing? In other words, I want the filename of the image printed on every image when I select a range of images to print.
Is there a way to eliminate the background surrounding the image before printing to a jpg? Currently, I print to a jpg then use another app to crop all the black (my background color) from around the actual image. Surely there's a way to not print the background and limit the file to just the image without having to resort to using the fixed image sizes. Does such a thing exist in LR4.1?
Sometimes when I print to a jpg all I get is the background color. I can't see any pattern as to when this occurs and when it doesn't. (LR4, Win7, original files are CR2) ?
I use lightroom 4 to design album pages. (Mac mountain Lion if it's relevant). When I complete a page, I don't always print it at that time, because I may need to make changes later. I choose to "save created page". If I want to layout another page, I have to "create a new page" and close the previous one. Most of the time when I return to the saved page the layout is gone. The images I used are shown in the filmstrip, but the layout is gone.
I have my user presets for exporting photos set to W3600 x H2395 when I want to print 12x8, but both 12x8 photos and photobooks come back with the image cropped. Is there a dimension setting I should use to avoid this problem? I have a Nikon D700 if that is relevant.
