Lightroom :: Option For Adding Borders?
Dec 13, 2013Does the Photoshop Edge FX program really only work with CS4, or will it work with LR5 or PsCC? If it won't work is there another easy option for adding borders?

Lightroom :: Expedite Adding Borders?
Jun 3, 2012I want to add plain white 300 pixel borders to some photos without losing any of the image, so I'm using canvas resize in Elements one at a time, then back to Lightroom for the next, etc. Is there any way I can expedite this, by making some kind of preset or something?

I have approximately 70 jpg images I'd like to add borders to. All of the images will have the same color and thickness.
Is it possible to create some sort of batch process that automatically adds borders to all 70 images? Right now, I've been adding borders one-by-one to the images. It got tedious after the first dozen.
If there is a way to automate the procedure? If so, what must I do? If it's possible, will all 70 images be re-saved automatically, as well?

I can only save it as AutoCAD LT 2004, is there a way for me to add AutoCAD LT 2008 as an option? If not is there a compatibility pack for him that he can download. There was a slight issue in the transfer. Im not doing anything that uses the mechanical features, just normal autocad features. The option for my computer is better if it is possible.

Sep 22, 2013Im trying to print 4x6. In the print module there are 4 margins. Each defaults to 0.13 in. This creates a white border. It does not let me slide these to zero.
I have it cropped correctly (4x6 aspect) and have zoom to fill checked.

Jan 20, 2013I print using Lr 3.6 and seem to never get on paper what Lr shows on screen. A case in point is that if I print with no (zero) borders specified in the Layout section of the Print module I get a print which is identical to the one I obtain when I set the left and right borders to non-zero values (e.g. 2mm). This is even though Lr's screen does show no borders in the first case and the expected borders in the second case.

Jun 11, 2012i have already exported a LR3 slide with borders. however, there is a Lightroom identity plate in the upper left corner. have been able to remove the identity plate but all subsequent exports have been without borders. don't remember how i initially did it. now i can't create borders even with the identity plate. i did read that borders can be created in the print module but that does not explain how i was able to do it in the slide module.

If I select say, a 2px border, three sides of my image will have a 2px border while one side will have what appears to be a 4px border. Is this a known LR problem, or is it printer driver related ? Sep 8, 2012I use large sheets of paper in my printer and typically want to print several photos on one sheet. In order to use the entire 19" length of the paper I select "borderless" printing in the printer options of my Epson Stylus Photo R3000 printer. For example, I create a template with five 5x7 photos and two 4x6 photos on one 13x19 sheet of paper. I then want each cell to have a border of 7 pts. I set this in the appropriate print option in Lightroom. I select each photo and drop it onto the appropriate cell. When I print this selection, Lightroom fails to preserve the 7pt borders of the various cells that lie on the outside edges of the paper. It preserves the 7 pt borders everywhere else. This occurs for any possible expansion setting I choose under the 'borderless' selection.
Conversely, if I do not select 'borderless' printing I get double width borders around the outside edges of the paper, single width borders on the interior edges, and therefor I cannot fit the last two 4x6 prints on the paper.
Is this a bug or is there a combination of settings which will give me what I want.
Lightroom :: How To Export Images With Borders And Metadata Caption (IPTC / Exif)
Apr 8, 2013Is there a way to export images with borders (like the slideshow layout) and metadata caption (iptc/exif). I'm using a plug-in Mogrify now, but this way I have to export every photo twice (first to create borders, then to add the metadata). photo below is exported with the Mogrify plug-in.
It would be awsome to export photos like the gallery layout since most lightboxes have only 1 line of caption and no design/edit options. This would save heaps of time.

When I viewed the final image I found the watermark was on a white background even though it was saved as transparent background.Looking at the options for importing images to the watermark template I noticed the PNG import option. I went back to my saved PSD image & saved it as a PNG & tried that. It seems to be what I am after.As Adobe owns both CS6 & LR4 then why isn't PSD an option in the watermark template? Lightroom :: Don't Enlarge Option In Export Not Working
Mar 11, 2013I am having trouble with the image sizing feature of Lightroom 4.3. In working with a batch of RAW files that I am exporting as JPEGS, I want to resize some down to a smaller size yet I do not want to make the images that are already smaller than my target dimension larger, I find that Lightroom resizes everything to the dimensions I have specified. This happens even when I check the “Do Not Enlarge” box. For example, if I am exporting 100 images in a photo set of which 90 images are 5555 pixels on the long end and 10 images are 3333 pixels on the long end and I specify that I want to resize to a dimension of 4444 px, Lightroom will resize all 100 images to 4444 px, even when I have checked the “Do Not Enlarge box”. What I want Lightroom to do is resize the 5555 px images to 4444 px, but export the smaller images in their original 3333 pixel size. I thought by checking “Do Not Enlarge” the files smaller than my resize dimension, would remain smaller. However, I have recently noticed that all the images are being resized, even the smaller ones despite me checking “Do Not Enlarge”.

Dec 17, 2013Just updated my LR to 5.3 from the CC and noticed a weird problem that I never encountered before in LR4 or 5.x (before 5.3 that is). I usually export pictures from RAW format to either TIFF or JPG (100% quality) and depending on purpose I use batch resizing, e.g. 1080 pixels on short edge ... well that whole Resize setting gets ignored by LR 5.3! It still exports full size (full RAW size in this case) into JPG or TIFF, but it won't resize .
EDIT:
I found out that I checked the "Don't enlarge" box in Export dialog under Resizing, that's when resizing was not working. After I unchecked it then it works fine, but still what does that have to do with anything if we are talking about downsampling images from 5184x3456 pixels to 1620x1080 ...
Lightroom :: No Overwrite Option - Only Skip And Rename
Mar 11, 2014When I make an adjustment to a .jpg file that I created earlier, from my raw file using export, and I then try to export this image, I get a problem.
When I export my new image I no longer have the option to overwrite the image I'm working on. Only skip and rename.
