I'm selecting a page size (A3 UK size sheet feeder retain size) but having difficulty getting my image to fit onto the page at the size spec shown on my screen.
I am wondering if a print preview / scale to fit exists in LR4 as it's not supported by the Epson 3800 driver.
How do I convert the colour profile of a Lightroom custom printing package from Adobe Prophoto to sRGB before printing? For that matter, how do I save the thing? I have no interest in saving the template, or the collection separately, since neither has any use without the other. And without saving them as one finished item, I have no way to convert the colour profile of that item. I can see clearly from the appearance of the print preview that the above mentioned colour profile conversion is required.

in LR3 custom package did not support photo info. Has this changed in LR4 - is there a way to add a caption to a jpeg file generated via the custom package?

When I try, multiple copies of single picture appear on each canvas. I tried 'contact sheet' but not satisfied with the result as I could not change the length and width of the pictures.

I just downloaded the LR4.x -> LR 5 installer from this website, but I can't install it. Each time I try to extract the installer, it fails. I downloaded it 5 times, using 3 different browsers... It does not fail exactly at the same moment (12%, 32%, 23%) but il fails anyway.
I also tried to open the package with winzip, and extract the file manually. Same thing, files can't be extracted as they seem to be corrupted.
I have installed PS CC without any problem, but when trying to install Lightroom5 on my Mac, I get the following message:

I just signed up to the PhotoShop & Lightroom Cloud. Photoshop installed OK But Lightroom fails to instal. It give 2 errors:

I am trying to instal on a Macbook Pro 2010 running OS-X 10.6.8 with 8 GB of RAM and 535 GB of free hard disk space. I have tried the installation process twice to no avail. Currently running version 4.4 of Lightroom without a hitch.
When printing on Epson printers (4800,4880,4900) in the Photoshop print settings dialogue box it won't allow me to print at a custom paper size using the sheet or manual feed settings. The paper feed option defaults to Roll Paper when I create the custom paper size, and then when I change it and try and save the settings it just reverts back to roll paper.
If I try and send a print after this then the printer won't accept it because it's being told to print on a roll instead of sheet. Why is this?? I'm using CS6 and OS 10.7 and I've never experienced this problem with any previous Photoshop/ Mac OS X before.

Custom profiles created for printing to the Epson 3800's ABW (Advanced B&W) mode do not appear in the print dialog target dropdown. I'm forced to print out of PS 12 to use this feature.
If I select "Black" instead of ABW in the print driver dialog, I get my selection of ABW profiles in the dropdown, but I need this to work with the ABW setting.
When I was using an older Photoshop version ...I could select "print with preview" and there I could adjust the size and proportion of the image to the paper size - I would see the paper in a preview box and could adjust the image by sliding the box at the corner points and size the image any way I wanted ... and could see the actual preview of how the image could fit on the paper .... in Elements 11 - even if I do a PDF and print in Preview- there's no way I can see to do that ... I only see options for set sizes- even under the custom sizing menu ... I'm using exactly the same printer that I used with Photoshop - so I'm assuming this is a limitation with Elements ... I don't even see the option in Elements printing to change the image percentage as I've been used to with any other page setup before ....
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've recently picked up Illustrator CS5, when I save a file (or print) as a PostScript file. My aim is to convert the file to a PDF using Distiller and in the Print dialogue box, the PPD field in past versions says something along the lines of Adobe PDF 8.0. In CS5, I do not have the option to select that from the PPD drop down menu (Nor can I find the file to add to the list). Additionally, I can't make a 'custom sized pdf,' only preset paper sizes. I've had to resort to opening my files in CS3 to convert them to PostScript files. I forsee this becoming a problem once I start diving into some of Illustrator CS5's new features.
I get the feeling the program didn't install with an Adobe PDF plug-in and I can't seem to find a substitute online that isn't from 1999 (!). Is there a way to get that plug-in file that my copy of CS3 is using into my CS5?
I am trying to build custom layouts for printing picture packages, but cannot find out how to get to the layout dialog box or the edit layout dialog box so that I can build and save custom layouts. How do I get to the point where these boxes appear? I've tried it from both Organizer and Editor, but not joy at all.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo in CS5 we were able to print to the custom sizes we created in the print screen for our HP Z3200, but for some reason we haven't been able to use the custom sizes in CS6, you click on a custom size and when you say ok from the printer settings and it goes back into Photoshop print settings it binks back to 8.5x11. You can use the standard sizes that came with the HP print software, but not any custom sizes you create. Is there a setting somewhere in Photoshop that I need to change?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI set up a print package in lightroom v4.1 and adjusted the image in the cell to fit properly, however when I try to print to file the resulting file moves the crop to cut off the top of my subject's head. It seems that I can get around this by intentionally moving the image so that it appears to cut off her head, then when it prints it looks correct (the adjustments im doing are moving backwards?). This works for now but I have no specific control over my crop, I just have to guess and check which does not work for large quantities of images

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I preflight and package my InDesign CC file for the printer the fonts are synced front CC fonts, but don't go into the Font File. Instead there is a document named AdobeFnt16.lst.
How does my printer get access to the fonts? In the preflight they show "protected" and don't collect in the font folder.
Every time I try to package out a file in InDesign its gets about 3/4s of the way through and then shows the "Cannot copy necessary font(s)" dialog box. I have read on certain discussions it may be a font issue. When I remove ALL fonts from my computer font library and use only preset Adobe fonts, Arial Regular for example, it works fine, then as soon as I use a font say, Helvetica Neue Light, I get the error. I have only recently upgraded to CC and all of the existing fonts in my library have always worked fine and never been a problem when packaging... However due to the tests with different fonts, it seems to be a font issue and not a links/filename issue like other people have had.
