Feb 12, 2012I'm using Lightroom3 version 3.6. I made all my cropping adjustments, exposure, sharpening and noise reduction adjustments. Also added LR presents like sepia tone, black and white, bleach bypass. on several of my photo's. Then I selected all photos, clicked on export button, and saved them in a folder on desktop. All of the LR presents are visible in LR and they look great. However, when I open the saved folder on my desktop....all the photos are not edited. None of the presets or crops took.

Under 'Lightroom' there are a number of duplicated items which I would like to delete (cleanup).
In Library>Application Support> Adobe> Lightroom>Presets>Export .. there is ONLY User. No 'Lightroom.'

Nov 24, 2011When I create an export preset and then return later to use it, the folder for saving it to has changed (to whatever I used last. Because I use the presets to re-size images for my 40 odd web sites, this is really inconvenient. Can this behaviour be changed so that the preset remembers the selected folder? And if not could it be considered as an option for the next update?

Yes, I am so afraid of all the talk I hear about LR 4 being slow (it DID slowed down from 2 to 3) that I still work in 3.6 It is no longer showing/updating my export presets (see left column). Whether I add folders from the OS or from withing LR, they are not visible. If I select them in FOLDER CHOOSE (see right side of the screen shot), then it will export them properly to the right folder but I have no way to UPDATE FOLDER WITH CURRENT SETTINGS.

Jun 8, 2013My issue is that I have a number of presets-brushes, tools, actions, workspace setup, etc, that allow me to have speed and focus on getting the job done. I also work with a wacom tablet, and although that is 3rd party, I need know that photoshop is set up to maximize the brush sensitivity of the tablet.
Is there a way for me to export my settings from one machine to another? And a way for them to revert back to thier own after I finish?

Jul 9, 2013I just downloaded the LR4.x -> LR 5 installer from this website, but I can't install it. Each time I try to extract the installer, it fails. I downloaded it 5 times, using 3 different browsers... It does not fail exactly at the same moment (12%, 32%, 23%) but il fails anyway.
I also tried to open the package with winzip, and extract the file manually. Same thing, files can't be extracted as they seem to be corrupted.

Dec 3, 2013I just signed up to the PhotoShop & Lightroom Cloud. Photoshop installed OK But Lightroom fails to instal. It give 2 errors:

ERROR: Third party payload installer Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.pkg failed with exit code: 1
I am trying to instal on a Macbook Pro 2010 running OS-X 10.6.8 with 8 GB of RAM and 535 GB of free hard disk space. I have tried the installation process twice to no avail. Currently running version 4.4 of Lightroom without a hitch.
Photoshop Elements :: Print / Page Setup / Presets / Show Presets Box Freezes
May 8, 2013When trying to print in Elements 11, after clicking "Print/Page Setup/Presets/Show Presets", the box freezes. Clicking Cancel or OK does not work. I then have to Force Quit Elements to clear it. Apple say that it is a problem with Elements. Using the same procedure in other applications, clicking Cancel or OK does work.

Sep 11, 2012After finally getting X6 to be stable and usable I have two things I'd like to mention..
First, I've been using a 3rd party file manager called Ztree for years and one of its most wonderful capabilities is to copy paths to the clipboard which alleviates opening/saving frustrations with the typical Windoze Explorer dialogs. Anyway, one of the first problems I noticed with X6 is that Paste no longer works in the Open Drawing dialog, while it worked just fine in X5 and as far as I can remember, all previous versions. I sure would like to get that back.
My second complaint is the File/Export routine and specifically the presets. I do a lot of exporting to PNG and JPG and use multiple presets for fixed size/print resolution image output in both file formats. During the typical export session, I essentially export multiple different drawings all of which are exactly the same size/resolution in CD and in the past (X4 and prior as I recall,) was able to just hit <Enter> when the Export dialog appeared once the preset was set to the one I needed for that session.
In X6 though (and to some degree in X5,) even though the correct preset is listed, CD doesn't appear to recognize it, i.e., the math for the size/dpi conversion doesn't take place which forces me to waste time selecting "Original" or some other preset first, waiting for CD to render the new version, and THEN selecting the conversion preset that was pre-selected when I first opened the export dialog.
