I recently reformatted my computer and I just realized that I lost all of my export presets even though I copied the catalog over. I've searched Finder in the all the usual places that Adobe programs store user data but I can't find them. where I can find my export presets to copy to my new home folder?
View 2 RepliesMy issue is that I have a number of presets-brushes, tools, actions, workspace setup, etc, that allow me to have speed and focus on getting the job done. I also work with a wacom tablet, and although that is 3rd party, I need know that photoshop is set up to maximize the brush sensitivity of the tablet.
Is there a way for me to export my settings from one machine to another? And a way for them to revert back to thier own after I finish?
I'm getting a new computer. How do I get LR 4.1 and all of my presets from my old Vista machine over to the new machine running Windows 7? Same question for PS 5. Can I use a program such as Acronis True Image to selectively copy programs from my old machine to the new one?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Lightroom3 version 3.6. I made all my cropping adjustments, exposure, sharpening and noise reduction adjustments. Also added LR presents like sepia tone, black and white, bleach bypass. on several of my photo's. Then I selected all photos, clicked on export button, and saved them in a folder on desktop. All of the LR presents are visible in LR and they look great. However, when I open the saved folder on my desktop....all the photos are not edited. None of the presets or crops took.

Under 'Lightroom' there are a number of duplicated items which I would like to delete (cleanup).
In Library>Application Support> Adobe> Lightroom>Presets>Export .. there is ONLY User. No 'Lightroom.'
I am using a Sony Alpha 99V camera, but it is not detected on Lightroom 5, however, it appears in the compatible cameras list.

Because I use the presets to re-size images for my 40 odd web sites, this is really inconvenient. Can this behaviour be changed so that the preset remembers the selected folder? Yes, I am so afraid of all the talk I hear about LR 4 being slow (it DID slowed down from 2 to 3) that I still work in 3.6 It is no longer showing/updating my export presets (see left column). Whether I add folders from the OS or from withing LR, they are not visible. If I select them in FOLDER CHOOSE (see right side of the screen shot), then it will export them properly to the right folder but I have no way to UPDATE FOLDER WITH CURRENT SETTINGS.

So I want to export a folder from LR onto one of my external hard drives however when I click to export my only choice is Desktop. I can open that "tree" as far as it goes but it NEVER shows Computer so I can select which external hard drive to export files to as a backup.
When I go to explorer from the start menu I can see all my files in Explorer including Computer with my external drive just not in LR.
I have restarted my computer, I have tried two different hard drive thinking it just might not recognize one of the drives but that isn't it either.
I have had this problem in the past and haven't been able to figure why sometimes I see my Computer and other times all I see is Desktop as an export option.
What is the difference between sharpen and sharpen copy in the presets section of LR? they seem to have the same effect, dont know which one to use

I just installed PS-CC and LR5 on a new computer after a catastrophic failure on the old one, which was running PS-CS6 and LR4. Is there a way to recover my custom settings and presets from a full backup of the old computer and apply them to the new applications on the replacement computer? I have full backups, but no export data for any of the settings or presets. And because the old computer is dead, I can't just run an export.
